Reviewed Aug 8, 2026Plenty space for the 8 adults in the bedrooms with their ablution facilities and a well stocked kitchen . Large inside braai ideal for our winter weather alongside the wood burner stove .
Guests in the master bedroom had a problem with plumbing noises at night which interrupted their sleep

The property’s close proximity to the workers’ residences was a bit of a problem. Between the barking dogs and clucking chickens all hours of the night, it was near impossible to get a decent night’s rest on some of the nights.

Reviewed Jul 23, 2026The house was exactly what our family of 5 needed for our golf get-away. Fully equipped kitchen, smart TV and easy access to the golf course were bonuses.
Plumbing noises - there are definite noises all of us could hear in the night from other rooms. like taps running, but then the pipes in our bathrooms would make a noise.

We rented a couple houses in town for our bridal party for our wedding weekend. This one was the most onerous for arrangements and also felt I got better value for money at the others.

Reviewed Dec 29, 2023The house is very practically laid out, all the bedrooms have their own bathrooms, the lounge is comfy and roomy and kitchen is well equipped, and there is a guest bathroom in the living room. The size of the fridge is convenient for 8 people. There is an inside and outside braai and the property is on a reclusive part of the golf course. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
The wifi doesn’t quite reach the main bedroom at the far end.

Reviewed Nov 23, 2023Great place, great hosts. The nicest thing about Back 9 Guest House is that it provides the desired amount of privacy - on the course but no neigbors right next to you. It was also spotlessly clean and communication with the owner, Jane, was very easy and very efficient. Can definitely recommend staying here and it will be the first place I book on the estate again in the future...

Reviewed Aug 23, 2023We liked the simplicity and that each room has its own bathroom. The inverter when Loadshedding hits is a big plus. Jane went out of her way to make us feel comfortable.
It echos a bit but that is not anything to give them a bad rating for and it is a bit cold, but there are enough fireplaces provided for the cold nights. All and all we liked it all, nothing to complain about.

The location was fine unfortunately there was a lot of noise and loud music coming from the labourers cottages on the other side of the fence which are in close proximity of Back 9.
