Reviewed Jul 12, 2026We had a wonderful stay in the beautiful Midlands. Dalton gave us a warm welcome and made us feel at home right away. The cottage was cozy, beautifully decorated, and well equipped, with thoughtful extras like an electric blanket. The bed was very comfortable and the shower excellent. Breakfast was delicious. We were also fortunate enough to enjoy a lovely pontoon ride on the river ,which was a wonderful highlight of our stay. Thank you for your outstanding hospitality. We highly recommend this special place and hope to return.

the pool wasn't super clean but it rains often there. we weren't supplied soap or shampoo, but we always travel with that. To get to the cabin it's not the safest especially if you're older or have bad balance, but for my wife and I it was fine.

Reviewed Jan 13, 2026We were the lucky first guests of the new owners of Tegwaan’s Nest B&B and they couldn’t have done it better! From the start they send us all the information we needed and even before arriving there we could contact them with all our questions. This continued during the stay where they were 100% ready to Help and go beyond. The place is super pretty and the nature there is sooo pretty. Breakfast was nicety nice and they even made a nice toaster to go for breakfast when we booked a trip. In short : we totally recommend this to everyone! Thank you Natasha and Dylan for everything.

Reviewed Sep 10, 2025Lee-ann, jeremy and bryce were the nicest people i have ever met. They went over the the top to make sure our accommodation was a fantastic stay. They were super friendly and even gave me and my friend a tackle box with a fishing rod to enjoy fishing in the river on the boat. Jeremy even told us about the nature in the area and what to look out for so we wouldnt miss a thing. The breakfast was 5 star and we even got complimentary pankaces twice. They made us feel more than welcome and made our stay exceptional. Will definitely be going back! And absolutely value for money! couldnt ask for better service.

The host went out of her way and made us delicious breakfast sandwiches as takeaways . This was such a kind gesture and a special touch. The host was attentive, friendly and overall we had a lovely stay. We wish we could have stayed longer to take a dip in the pool that overlooks the amazing view!

The location was super peaceful, looking across the Umgeni River onto the rolling meadows. Jeremy and Leanne were fantastic hosts, their breakfasts were delicious and they themselves refreshed the cabin daily.

One item to note which is not the fault of the property is that the geographical area is cold so travellers should pack warm pjs

Access to the chalet is a little tricky due to it's location overlooking the river, so we couldn't bring out bikes down to the chalet, but we soon got used to the walk to the chalet

From the warm welcome to being assisted with your luggage and being escorted to the cottage is simply amazing. The cottage is cozy, clean, spacious and very comfortable. The porch overlooking the river, the surrounds and views is absolutely breathtaking. The peace and quiet is so relaxing. Attention to detail, the treats and Full English breakfast delivered to your cottage is really heartwarming. This little gem is home away from home, enjoy the hospitality of Leanne and Jeremy, superb. (Keep it up - Top Notch accommodation)

This has been one of our most peaceful and relaxed get aways we have had. From the hospitality and generosity of the host, to the Amazing Breakfast with special little added treats, the host are accommodating and really ensure you have a good break and just rest and unwind. Breath taking Morning views of the river and the wide range of bird life make you realize how carefree life could be. Looking forward to a Winter getaway to enjoy the snow. We arrived as guest and left as Friends 🙏🙏

Would have liked a basin to wash dishes in but the hosts supply a large basin for you to put your washing up in and they collect it in the morning.
