Bahay ni Asik - Homestay near SM City

Location is fantastic, has easy access to a mall, convenience stores and a few restaurants nearby. Host was also very friendly and accommodating and the house cats were a big plus. Room was also very clean, tidy and comfortable. Could not ask for more.

This was the first place I stayed at in the Philippines and I had such a wonderful stay here and couldn't have asked for better hosts. They showed me around the city, shared great local recommendations, and even invited me to join a yoga class. They were always incredibly helpful, friendly, and happy to answer any questions or offer assistance. The homestay itself was comfortable, clean, and quiet and truly felt like a home away from home. Their hospitality made all the difference, and I left with wonderful memories of both the stay and the hosts. Thank you both for such an amazing stay!

The friendly atmosphere and helpful hosts offer advice on what to see and do in the area and how to get around the city. They even let you use their bikes to explore the area. Wow

The accommodation is homely, clean and complete amenities. The owner is accommodating. The location is great, quiet and walking distance from restaurant / shops.

It was not mentioned in the advert the owners lives in the second floor so the kitchen and the lounge is shared ( it was surprised ) but saying this during the stay the Privacy was excellent.

Very Good Room Accommodations! I had a wonderful stay—slept very well without any negative thoughts. The place was calm and quiet despite being in the city, making it the perfect spot to relax. We cooked our own breakfast and lunch since the kitchen was fully equipped, and we appreciated the convenience of having a refrigerator. One of the highlights was their adorable cat—it always brought a smile to our faces! The toiletries provided (shampoo, shower gel, hand soap, and bathroom tissues) were also a nice touch, and there was even a pitcher of water with glasses for late-night thirst. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly, and overall, everything was well thought out. I’d like to thank Mr. Asik and Ms. Kerstin for the warm welcome! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I had a great experience with Kerstin and Asik during my stay with them. They are very welcoming and chill people. Staying there seems like staying in your personal space, no pressure or drama, plus very affordable.

The hosts were super helpful in terms of helping with directions, local activities & allowing me to use one of their bicycles. The location was great near the SN Mall & my room was large with a window &:desk

I stayed at this homestay in a village and had such a great time. It felt super safe, just a short walk, about 10 minutes to/from SM Davao. The house itself is adorable, clean, and cozy. Bonus points for the cute cat that made it feel like home. The host was awesome, giving me cool tips for my short trip. I even left some stuff behind when I went to climb Mt. Apo, and I didn’t stress about it because I knew it was in good hands. My room was so pretty and had a nice desk for me to work at. There's a huge cabinet and hangers for your clothes. Good lighting and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean, and while there wasn't a heater, it wasn't a big deal given the pleasant water temperature. Towards the end of my stay, I had a request, and the host was incredibly accommodating. Overall, it was a great and comfy stay—I’d recommend it!

It's a personal preference, but I like showers with a hose rather than a fixed one. However, even with a still shower, my stay was still fantastic.

The silence and the hosts

Went to Davao to take my board exam held at PRC RDavao which is just walking distance from the homestay. As I am writing this review, I just got my results from my exam and I passed, and this homestay really helped me. My stay was hassle-free, as all amenities functioned smoothly, creating a quiet environment crucial for studying and resting during my exam preps. Even though this is just a homestay and I have to live with someone else, it doesn't bother me at all since the host never disturb/bother me. The homestay's secure location within a village added to my sense of safety. Additionally, its proximity to SM, convenience stores and restos ensured numerous options for Grab food delivery and easy access to Grab car services.
