The place was amazing. Perfect for a weekend in the snow for our family of 3.
This is a great place. We'll equipped in a good location. The spa was awesome. We really enjoyed our stay. Hayley, was helpful and communicated well. Highly recommend this place.
Cozy warm house, spa is lovely, with view of the mountain. Powderhorn Chateau is walking distance, which is an awesome place to drinks and dinner.
Nothing really, train tracks outside and you feel and hear them! But we knew at booking that we are by station. Gas fire very powerful and only have one setting.
Everything. It was toasty warm, well supplied (loved the coffee machine) and of course the hot tub.
Nothing.
This place is amazing, nice views of the mountain from your private spa, very modern place has everything you need nice cosy and warm all beds have electric blankets, and gas fireplace. Communication with Hayley was great this place exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend to anyone😊
Nothing..Everything was great
Property was central to the powder keg just a stroll. Also close to the pizzeria. Had everything you could possibly need and the heating was really good.
I didn’t mind the trains in the night… But my husband did 🤣 I’m a heavy sleeper so it didn’t bother me at all. But you would probably want to keep that in mind if you are a light sleeper or had Young children.
Great location, great layout, great spa. Clean, warm & easy. Excellent communications with our host.
Size of the house was okay, as were the size of the bedrooms
The fact that it was located literally only a couple of metres away from the railway lines (directly opposite house) and every time a train went past it was very loud, causing the whole house to shake - very much like an earthquake effect! Not ONCE was that ever mentioned in previous reviews OR by owner... And given that this is the most I have EVER spent per night on accommodation, I was expecting all the bells and whistles which we certainly didn't get!
Clean, beds were VERY COMFORTABLE, Facilities good. Bonus.. the SPA after doing the crossing was just what the muscles needed.
Train line right out front. With occasional large freight trains passing through.
Brilliant place, perfect for our 2 night stay. Very comfortable bed, spa was very welcome after biking at Kaimanawa. Just the right distance from town, easily walked in for breakfast and dinner each day.
No complaints
Beautiful property, clean and tidy.
Lovely place, clean and tidy. Had everything we needed and more. Made for a perfect weekend away.
Very clean and well presented. Clear communication and instructions about arrival and departure, great coffee machine.
The property is directly across the road from train tracks. When a train goes past the whole house shakes. During the night and early morning trains go past every few hours.
Lovely place to stay in a great location! Well appointed and with all required for 4 adults cycling the Bridge to Nowhere and the Old Coach Road. Thanks for the experience 😁
Great location and short drive to Turoa ski field. Hot tub was great after a cold day on the mountain.
Very close to train line so was a bit noisy with freight trains in the night- can't be helped but good to note if you're coming with small children.
Well equipped, comfortable & close to the mountain
Near the train track but not a big deal
We loved how beautifully displayed the home was. Access to hot tub especially when nights were cold, access to gas heater that heated the home so perfectly within 5/10mins and kept the whole home warm. Everything was perfect like a full home away from home :) We will be back when staying in Ōhakune again. The location was perfect for one of our dinner venues, not right in the mix of town which was lovely to have some quietness but loved the early morning and last evening walks and seeing Ruapehu.

Excellent communication and hassle free acess
Lovely warm spacious unit. Everything we needed was there.
clean home, well-equipped kitchen appliances.

The location was fantastic. The area was quiet and peaceful. Accommodation was exceptionally clean, warm and had absolutely everything we needed (and more!). Despite the cold weather, we used the hot tub outside - it was the perfect temperature to keep us warm and we were able to view the most beautiful starry night sky. We would highly recommend it.
Everything was perfect, no negative comments.
Really clean and well presented, super warm and comfy, felt right at home from the moment we walked in. Has everything you need with great quality appliances and furniture. Felt like a lot of thought was put in to presenting the place to a high standard. We really enjoyed our time here!
Great communication and instructions for self check-in from Hayley. Clean and beautifully appointed. The hot tub and gas fire were just a bonus.
The hot tub stairs could do with at least a hand rail 🙂
Super lovely, spotless, and well-appointed 2 bedroom chalet. The hot tub was just perfect after a multi day hike. Everything we needed was on tap. Great coffee, just down the road at Opus Apparel in the train station and plenty of good dinner options in walking distance, so we were well happy! Gorgeous place to just curl up and read a book, but so handy for all sorts of walking, biking and mountain activities. It's right beside the train station, but NZ railways aren't busy so it's no bother
Modern, comfortable and well set up.
Extremely warm and comfortable beds. Hot tub was exactly what we needed to end our 2 week holiday traveling our beautiful Aotearoa NZ. Haley was an amazing host. Cleanliness 👌💯
Great location, lovely spacious property, hot tub, easy parking, and helpful host.
Beds a bit firmer than our preference.
Fantastic accommodation with a great spa looking over the Mount Ruapehu. Great selection of facilities. Very good internet. Fantastic high powered shower. Comfortable bed. Very close to the newly finished Te Ara Mangawhero cycle track.
Nothing.
Spacious comfortable place to stay. Enjoyed it so much, we stayed for a few more nights.
Wonderful stay. Clean and lovely. Easily heated. Comfortable bed with weighty duvets. Very easy place to ski Turoa and the spa was wonderful.
There were several trains during the night. They were quiet given the double glazing, but still enough to wake.
All around awsome especially the spa!
