Hot tub was awesome

Heard trains - but weren’t loud enough to disturb anyone

Warm, clean, perfect for our little family trip to the snow.

Conveniently located close to the Turoa ski field

The house was right next to the train line and the whole shook when a train passed. Luckily, there were less trains on the weekend.

Fantastic place to stay, beautiful view of Mt Ruapehu, if its clear. Close drive to shops and places to eat, to smaller walks as well. It was a comfy and cosy place to stay with great facilities. We decided to stay an extra day and were happy it wasn't booked out. Highly recommended

Everything was wonderful. Clean,well-stocked,comfortable beds, nice view of the mountain. Right by the train station. Met all our needs.

Although right by the train station, downtown is a bit of a walk as there are no Uber or taxis, but this of course is no fault of the rental property.

Great shower pressure and the kitchen is fully equipped. Comfortable and homely, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay despite the weather not being good. Great little pizza place down the road, highly recommend... best pizza we've had in a long time!! Our daughter loves trains, so she was ecstatic watching all the trains park up and leave again.

The weather was not in our favour so we didnt get to see any views of the mountain.

The location was good. Can walk to cafe and restaurants.

Location was great. A nice little town. We could see the mountain from the lounge room or spa. Great to have a washing machine and dryer. Wish I’d known that there was a room with the clothes rack and heater though. My fault as I never looked inside it until we were about to leave! Beds were comfy and it was well set out.

A very well-equipped kitchen, the pressure of the shower was perfect, especially after a day of mountain biking! The recommendation on where to get coffee was spot on! Ohakune has a lot to offer in the summertime, previously thought it was just a ski town!

Initially the location of the house was tricky to find (our car navigation system sent us to the opposite side of the train tracks), but a local helped us out and we were able to find it.

The highlight of our stay was obviously watching the sunset over Mt Ruapehu from the hot tub. We had an awesome stay at Kim's, who was delightful and even let one of our friends enjoy the property a little more while waiting for his train to Auckland. We highly recommend staying at Junction Gem!

The house itself was nice, had everything we needed. Nicely decorated and simple, made it easy having a 2yr old as there was nothing much for him to touch. Instructions were easy to follow. Had a spa pool which was a little hard to get in and out of as it was very high, also set very hot.. not ideal for this season. I can see how it would be nice in the winter.

We went to play the monopoly game in cupboard and the actual board was missing. So gutted as there's absolutely nothing to do during the off season. The house was located very far away from the town and right next to the train track... it wasn't ideal at all during the month of January.

Nice clean and tidy place. Well equipped kitchen. Spa was a bonus. Walking distance to a couple of eateries and bars. Was nice being close to the trains.

Sofas and beds we comfy, very well equipped and great to have the washer and drier. Hot tub was great, easy instructions and great location.

Loved how it was tucked away in a quiet area but close enough to town. Has everything you need and very nice and warm. Spa was a bonus. Would stay again.

Lovely comfortable well appointed propery with view of the mountain. Spa pool was great. Close to bike trails and we weren't bothered by the occassional train passing by.

Lovely, quiet and very well appointed accommodation. Easily accessible, with off street parking. Perfect setting, private but with all possible amenities within walking distance. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend this property.

The accommodation was just as advertised and of a high standard. We were very comfortable. The host was available to answer any questions we had. The stay was a highlight of our trip and we recommend without reservation

Unfortunately I didn't look at the map and I had trouble finding it. There is no sign to say the rd continues up by the railway line. An hour later I finally got someone on the phone who gave me directions. I was so frustrated..
