Reviewed Jul 1, 2026The location was lovely and the apartment well-appointed. It was spotlessly clean. The covered bike rack at the complex was an unexpected bonus (we had planned to leave our bikes locked on the car rack).
Nothing in the listing states that the property is an upstairs apartment. I have limitations in my mobility so this was an unexpected hurdle. Sounds carry from the downstairs apartment, which is a little annoying when they are night owls and I am not. The place is much smaller than I expected.

Reviewed Jun 14, 2026We loved our stay here. It is modern and has been well thought out when it comes to design. The property had some lovely touches. A well stocked kitchen, not that we did any cooking this time. There are books and magazines in the lounge and the bedroom. It feels very homely and welcoming. The bed was comfortable. All up, it was a great stay for us. Great communication with Jo, the host.
The shower is small , not a deal breaker though! It is on a main road, but with double glazing the traffic sounds are somewhat muted.

Reviewed Dec 10, 2025We were upgraded to Apartment 3 which is a two bedroom unit. The decor is stunning, the accommodation was spacious and everything was well appointed. Our only disappointment was that we could only stay one night! We received regular communication from our hosts so that checking in and out was a breeze.
No complaints at all! One thing to be aware of - the laundry is not in unit and is an additional charge.

Reviewed Aug 14, 2025Es hat mir alles gefallen, die Unterkunft war zwar nicht direkt in der Stadt, aber für unseren Aufenthalt völlig ausreichend. Sehr sauber, sehr schöner Einrichtungsstil, einwandfreie Kommunikation mit den Besitzern und schöner Ausblick!
Das wir leider nur eine Nacht dort verbracht haben.

Too many emails and repetitive automatic messages. Many advises asking for you to clean the house before you leave. Annoying specially if you are on holidays. Rules it’s good but saying it once is enough. Bath-towels were rough and smelling bad maybe not washed properly. Noise from the Main Street and neighbours. You go sleep and wake up with them.

Too many messages, a bit annoying. Hostess don’t answer messages and keep sending automatic replies. Noise from street and not soundproof. You listen the neighbour using their bathroom.

Ten pillows on the bed is just ridiculous. Nice design look, but really ? Jam all the excess pillows in the storage area and then no room for clothes. Massive designer look bedside table , box, on one side, no room on the other for a table with reading lamp. Cleaning instructions, load the dishwasher etc? But big square plates in dishwasher means the top cleaning spray won’t turn, so clean plates, never.

Second floor apartment with a long stairway. We've been traveling for months and had several bags to carry up the stairs but this is a minor quibble - the apartment was wonderful.

Reviewed Dec 2, 2024Great location! This comfortable, nicely decorated apartment is clean and contains many of the items one needs to have a great stay. The bed is comfortable and the apartment is quiet enough to allow for a good sleep. We were within walking distance of eateries, bars and grocery stores. Parking was easily done on the front street.
The host of the property did not answer any of my inquiries sent using the Booking.com app. This was irritating, not life altering but never have I had a host refuse to reply to a message.

No manual for the TV - we never managed to watch the NZ news. I rang Jo and had to leave a message which was never answered. The body wash and shampoo bottles were hard to read and difficult to use being large glass bottles on the shower floor. They would be better on a shelf at a convenient height. Salt shaker was empty.
