Quiet and comfortable sleepover and a good dinner.

We did not eat breakfast. We had left to early. We traveld with a truck. We stopped late and started 4-5 in the morning. It was a pleasend stay. We will definitely stay over again.
Nothing Everything were excellent
Dinner, breakfast and friendliness. Location.
Bathroom facilities were poor. Poor lighting, no soap in the shower and nowhere to put one’s toiletries near the sink
The host was very nice. Food was very very delicious. The rooms was clean and very neat! The dogs were so cute! And the host even let us go to the sheep so the baby can see. We had a nice time!
A real little gem just off the N1. It was our anniversary weekend, we had booked a standard room, but Annalie gave us a family room with a lot more space, and self catering facilities which we really appreciated. We loved that we could order dinner on the property, which was absolutely delicious! Thank you Deon and Annalie, we will definately be advising friends and family to book in when they travel, you can be so proud of the lovely property you have.
As always, the owners were extremely welcoming and hospitable. Food was excellent and hearty.
Lovely and quiet. A real oasis after a long drive on the N1. And Annelie and Deon are so welcoming. The thatched rondavels are clean and comfy and we enjoyed a lovely overnights rest.
Very comfortable room and beautiful bathroom with large walk-in shower. The dinner option was very welcome at the end of a long days drive - the food was delicious. Unfortunately had to leave early so did not have breakfast.
No plug points next to the bed for phone chargers. Lighting outside the room would be nice as it was very dark when trying to pack the car.
We loved the atmosphere, the care and facilities. Home cooking for dinner was a bonus we did not expect, and the warm welcome was just what we needed after a long day on the road.
Our stay was just one night, next time we do this for at least two!
Safe, secure, warm, slow to the highway

Very friendly and accommodating especially with pets. Food excellent
I was very happy and will stay there again
The food! Really Good
The shower in room 6 mixer not working properly... 😕
The breakfast was delicious and wholesome.
The shower in our room was faulty, changing from hot to cold by itself.. but our stay overall was great!
Clean, comfortable, and beautiful gardens.
Friendly owners Clean room
Room was a bit compact. Not much storage place . Had to fight the moths inside the room. Need additional plug point Fridge need replacing
Want to get away from the noise and buz of town then this is the place to be. Should you enjoy farm stays then this is the best. This was not our first and it won't be the last. We requested a bigger unit (wich we did not pay for) just for some space after a long day on the road and our wishes were answered 😀 and the best part is our small doggy child is always welcome.
One night stay is toooooo short...
We loved everything about the accommodation.

Break feast and good overnight stop
Very nice property, very friendly host and staff, good food and beautiful Garden and Pool - all Perfect - the ideal stay-over between Jo'burg and the Cape.

Friendly people
The location is great and the dinner was great. Did not have breakfast.
Being pet friendly we would have expected a fenced off area around the rooms to allow the dogs off the leash. Having travelled far and then being required to keep our three dogs on the leash did not allow for any relaxation for us. The bathroom had no hooks to hang clothes and the front door was sagging so badly that it had to be slammed closed.
Annalie made us feel right at home. Amenities were clean and the food was good.
It was a lovely family vibe with plenty of space for our toddler to play and swim. Ideal stopover for a family travelling between Jhb and Cape Town.
It does not look like the pictures on the site at all. The pool was so dirty. Just continue on and sleep somewhere else.
We did not stay for breakfast, but we had the dinner and drinks the night before. We felt that the menu is a bit over priced for what was served. I had the lamb curry which was very average (not much curry) and my wife opted for the green salad. Food was edible but not worth the price. We enjoyed our room and have no issues. Will definitely stay there again.
As mentioned above, the food was okay but over priced in my opinion.
What more do you want after a long day of traveling…a pool, your own dogs running free, aircon and a “home cooked” meal!
The mattress was a bit wobbly…when my partner moved, everything moved, so I woke up often during the night.
Die plek is pet friendly. Staff is baie vriendlik en behulpsaam help graag al is dit na ure. Skoon en netjie. Dadelik ge 'upgrade' oor lange gebly het.
Ongelooflik baie miere
My dog was welcomed. Beds was very comfortable.
The swimming pool and play ground
In general everything needs to be updated and needs a little more care.
Clean and confortable

Clear and very friendly staff
Nothing, was the perfect stay over
Good room, pet friendly and an excellent dinner (good menu options)!
Arrangements around dinner - insufficient seating in the pet friendly area meant standing around for around 30 minutes until tables became available.
Beautiful location, very friendly host. Peaceful and good energy.
The accomodations. The food.
The owners of Van Zylsvlei were available and attentive. The food was homemade and simple. Loved the frogs in the pool and the dogs were happy.
Amazing
Comfortable Rondawel with Aircon and Coffee in the rooms. Very quiet for a good night rest.

Very central half way stop.

A few km out of Colesberg, which is good, on a generally quiet rural road. Breakfast was excellent.
Accommodation is pretty basic, but you get what you pay for.
Die vriendelikheid van ontvangs en die honde ❤️
Ons badkamer se wasbak is verstop, of die water loop net baie stadig uit.
Annelie is super helpful and we had everything we needed. A lovely shower with hot, hot water when I was cold was so welcoming
Friendly reception, good dinner and breakfast
Clean and very comfortable with everything we needed.
Lovely, friendly hosts who made our stay memorable.
Nothing
On both our one night stays the wifi did not work. In unit 15 the signal was non-existent, in unit 17 there was a repeater but no internet connection on any of our devices.
The dinner was very good - we did not have breakfast.
Everything was fine.
Very friendly owners and dogs
The dinner of leg of lamb, rice was not freshly made, R560 for food ,drinks and sweets was not worth the money. Should have gone to town for dinner.
All, thanks
