Edén Los Abuelos, Minca Mountain Residence

This apartment in Minca was a true piece of paradise! Maria Clara and Fernando were exceptional hosts who made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The wildlife around the property is amazing—we were lucky enough to spot toucans almost every day! If you have the time, I highly recommend booking a spa day at Kamaji; it's just a 5 to 10-minute walk from the apartment and absolutely lovely. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Definitivamente las fotos no le hacen justicia a este precioso lugar, pues es mucho más lindo de lo que logra apreciarse. Ubicación excepcional, lejos del ruido y con una vista preciosa en la habitación principal, balcón y mirador. Todo perfectamente aseado y cada detalle muy bien pensado para garantizar su huésped una estancia inolvidable. Los anfitriones son de lo más amables, cordiales y siempre atentos a cualquier novedad, proveen toda la información necesaria para sacar máximo provecho a la visita. Fui feliz descansando en esa cama tan confortable y bañándome con agua calientica, pues la habitación principal cuenta con este servicio. Nos fuimos tan satisfechos y contentos que contemplamos seriamente la posibilidad de venir con toda la familia en una próxima oportunidad y definitivamente tiene que ser a este lugar.

Los vecinos tienen perros escandalosos que a veces irrumpen con la paz del lugar, pero esto es algo ocasional y que se sale de las manos de los anfitriones. A veces hay mosquitos molestos lo cual es normal en Minca por lo que es oportuno cargar repelente.

La qualité du logement, la vue sur les montagnes l'accueil de Maria, les oiseaux à voir.

Le seul petit irritant fût les chiens des voisins qui jappent beaucoup.

Mooie plek met uitzicht op de bergen.Prachtige vogels vliegen voorbij , te zien vanaf de porch. Vanaf het huis kan men naar Minca wandelen en ook in andere richtingen. Het klimaat is heerlijk.

We had a great time at Los Abuelos 2. Mary and Fer were perfect hosts. The apartment has everything you need. It's walking distance into town but away enough for it to be quiet at night. We spent most of our time on the balcony, in the hammocks just listening to the birds. Perfect!

Ce logement est niché au coeur de la forêt. Nous avons eu l'impression de dormir avec les oiseaux. C'est d'un calme absolu.

Tranquility and location at its best. Just 5-10 min away from the center but you will hear only the forest. Beautiful views. The host are also very nice and helpful. Maria Claudia took the time to show us beautiful places and tell us about history of the place. We really felt welcome all the time.

The Cabin was fabulous we really enjoyed the lovely wide deck with hammocks and the fact we had a kitchen to prepare our own meals. Fer and Marie even provided condiments in the kitchen which was greatly appreciated and some delicious avocados from their garden. The cabin was spacious and had all the amenities to make you feel at home even two bathrooms. There was ample space to spread out and enjoy the great view into the lovely garden. We even viewed toucans from the balcony and lots of other species of birds. Fer and Marie were very good at giving us information about the area and transportation options too. We would highly recommend this accommodation. The location is only a short walk to the village centre but far enough away to make it a peaceful stay. There are great walks to the swimming holes in MInca too which I greatly enjoyed too.

Rating: ★★★★★ We had the most amazing stay at this beautiful jungle house in Minca! The absolute highlight was the terrace—spacious, peaceful, and equipped with two hammocks and a cozy sitting area. Whenever we were at the house, we spent most of our time there, simply soaking in the sounds of the jungle. Sipping a cold beer or just relaxing in that setting was pure bliss. The location is fantastic—peaceful and slightly remote, yet within easy walking distance of Minca’s center. Even closer is a great restaurant with a lovely view. The house itself is extremely comfortable, with a large, well-equipped kitchen that made cooking easy. Our kids (ages 6 and 3) loved it, and so did we! The owners are wonderful—kind, helpful, and super easy to communicate with. They even showed us a hidden riverside beach off the beaten path, which was the perfect last stop before we left Minca. We stayed for three nights and wish we could have stayed longer. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature but still close to everything, this is the perfect spot. Highly recommend!

Eden Los Abuelos 2 is located on a small road above Minca town. It is secluded, looking out over beautiful nature, with lots of birds (also seen on birdwatching tours) right from your own balcony, like toucans, hummingbirds but dozens more species too. The apartment is very spacious, very comfortable. My travel companion got sick, so we were very fortunate to have a large bedroom with attached bathroom, and also a fold out bed with its own bathroom. Everything was very clean, with crispy fresh bed linens and towels. We were told beforehand that the bathroom didn't have hot water, turned out it did. Very pleasant. The kitchen is very complete, with a tea towel, sponge, washing up liquid and even spices to use. The hosts are very hospitable and welcoming and offer lots of information on the area. It's about a ten minute walk up from the towncenter (or down), a mototaxi from the town center cost about 500 pesos. The arguably best feature though is the large verandah/balcony, with two hammocks, lawn chairs and a couch, to relax and unwind, spotting birds and enjoying nature. Would absolutely stay here again.

From the very begging I felt very welcomed and took care of. The communication with owners was very fast and easy. They were very helpful, we could asked them different questions. The house was beautiful and comfortable even for family with 2 kids. There was hot water which is not common in Colombia and the view was amazing.

The location is a 10 minutes walk from Minca center. The apartment is new and clean. It has a large terrace with breathtaking views on the valley. What’s more, you can observe birds in the morning (we saw a tucan family from there, you just need to listen…).
