Romeo y Julieta, hermosa cabaña privada en Minca

The lovely welcome and the quaint room with beautiful views and the toucans

Bed was a little hard for me but I’m very fussy

Rien

Great location away from town in a very quiet tranquil location on a working avocado farm. Our independent room had a unique separate private bathroom which with a tree in it and had the feel of an outdoor shower as it had views over the valley. The balcony had a view over the farm with beautiful Keel billed toucans nesting about 5 m away.. Central Minca is about a 10 min walk to town with some wonderful restaurants. There is easy access ( 10 min hike ) to secluded river beaches and a jungle spa which offered great massages. The dedicated apartment kitchen was very convenient and we used it to cook breakfasts and the occasional meal. We would definitely stay here again.

Kitchen could benefit from a microwave but this is a minor nice to have. In the evening there are substantial bugs but this comes with having the "farm / rural environment". Turn the lights off in the evening if heading out as they attract bugs that will find there way into the room eventually, then you should be fine.

Beautiful location and wonderful hosts

This small cabin in the woods is the perfect getaway for a vacation close to nature. It’s surrounded by mountains and trees. It truly is so peaceful and quiet, which can be hard to find in Columbia. Beautiful scenery. It’s got everything you need. The host is really nice and friendly and has a lot of knowledge about the place.

Private. Great place for birds. Nesting toucans 30 feet from the balcony. Close to town.

The location was perfect - walkable from the town and with a beautiful view from the balcony. The space was so peaceful. We looked forward to getting up early each morning for toucan spotting! Thank you Mary and Fer.

Nothing

Fernando and Maria are part of the experience - they are so warm and welcoming! Place itself adorable - you have your private terrace with separate entrances to bedroom and bathroom, and also a private well equipped kitchen with entrance around the corner, so even spaces have separate entrances you will be the only one using them. Terrace has a beautiful view and you can spot multiple birds. Location is a 15min walk a lit path to the center, so close enough to walk, but away from all the noise.

This place is beautiful! We saw a toucan from the balcony and plenty of other birds, and the view of the surrounding nature is so relaxing. The hosts are welcoming, helpful, and were excited to tell us about the land and wildlife. Coolest bathroom ever.

Bring repellent! Wear repellent! Do not forget it like we did- you'll regret it. Keep in mind that the bedroom, the bathroom, and the kitchen are all individual doors attaching to the balcony, so you have to step outside to go between them. When we had the fan blowing at night, the mosquito net wouldn't really stay down around the bed, so it would be more helpful if it could be tied down.

Simply perfect. Amazing hosts and location. One of the rare truly quiet places we’ve stayed in Colombia, yet walking distance to town.

The Little house in the middle of the jungel. Very charming. And our host Maria is a beautiful person. Birds, tucans and colibri from the terrasse. And paths from the house directly to the jungel. 10 minutts walk from the Little center of Minca. Try restaurant Minca del Sol 15 min walks (from path take steps down from Jungel Joe), simple, lot of ambience.

Some noise from building activities, compressors making electricity, silent at night. We missed a hammock😉would be perfect!

Tranquility, no music but loads of birds and insects. We loved the toucans nesting in the tree right in front of the terrace. The owners are super friendly and responsive.

After sunset plenty of insects; it is part of the adventure 🤗

The place and the view is fabulous and the family who owns this place were more than kind and helpful. They helped me to organise a safe taxi to Minca and then back to airport when I left. I would recommend this higly for everyone and expesially if you don't know much about Colombia! When the sun rises/sets you can see the tucans flying to the trees in front of the balcony. Spectacular.

- great location, beautiful views of the surrounding nature - incredible amount of birds can be seen and heard from the terrace, including toucans -very friendly hosts -clean -great activity recommendations

-no negatives, we only experienced a minor inconvenience because we had to wire 25% of the fee upfront. We were able to execute the transfer upon arrival in Colombia, at a branch of Bancolombia. Would be more convenient to accept credit card deposit or paypal.

Such a nice view! The stay was just perfect! :)
