Reviewed Dec 8, 2025Everything about KK's Haven is awesome. It was truly a Haven. The host came around to check that everything is in order. She got the place cleaned and fresh linens were supplied whenever I wanted. KK's Haven is truly home away from home. I'm definitely coming back. Thanks Keketso🥰
The only downside is I would have loved to stay longer...

We did not know that the geyser was switched off at the DB Box. Water took long to get warm after switching geyser on. This delayed me for a wedding I had to attend. They should be a set of instructions visible at the apartment like switch on geyser, how to switch on gas stove etc.

No electric blankets which are shown as part of the facilities. Shown as having heating in the facilities but we only received 1 heater for the lounge 2 days into our stay. No hairdryer available even when requested. Joburg in winter is cold.

Construction noise and we had to take our own rubbish down the stairs which was a chore while on holiday.

Reviewed Aug 19, 2024The property is well located, clean and has everything needed to make the stay comfortable. It is also well decorated and has a warm and cosy feeling to it. We really felt at home.
The main grey couch is hard and is not ideal for sitting for long periods of times. There is also a restriction on the appliances that can be used in the apartment as part of the rules that are sent after booking, you are only allowed to use the TV, stove, kettle, fridge, toaster and microwave meaning we couldn’t use the washing machine and dish washer which defeats the purpose of having those there in the apartment.

Reviewed Oct 26, 2023Nice bath with hot water
We arrived at the apartment to discover that the apartment block was still being built so essentially we were living in the middle of a construction site with massively compromised security. When we moved in only the front wall was built and the remaining perimeter walls were just scaffolding. The bashing, banging, grinding and screaming from workers started at 7:30 in the morning with the dust causing me massive respiratory issues as I am asthmatic. We had booked in for 3 weeks and in order for me to have work meetings I had to leave the complex due to the persistent noise. The main bathroom and bedroom had no mirrors with toilet paper and soap holders still to be put up. Mattress and pillows in the main bedroom are sweat stained and actually gave off a very unpleasant smell. Essentially this apartment is not ready to be let and certainly not at the price being charged.
