Casa Xue Tayrona - Alma Hotels

It was wonderful and relaxing. Room and especially the balcony were amazing. The stuff were very nice and friendly.

The location feels like you are in the middle of the jungle. The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff was great and the food was perfect.

Not their fault, but the access to the beach is tricky. You need to walk at least 15 minutes. If you don't like to climb stairs, that may be an issue for you but not for me!

Great breakfast, great jungle retreat - felt really close to nature. Few kittens roaming the terrace (very cute).

As it already mentioned, it is very rural meaning no taxis or Ubers, just a local bus to the Tayrona national park entrance. Lights sometimes flickered (maybe due to location). Staff don't speak any English (obviously our fault for knowing limited Spanish) but just so you're aware.

Very nice people, clean and good location

Scenery and friendly staff

Everything was good

Nastąpiła opłata, zameldowanie, brak żadnego potwierdzenia opłaty, zero dokumentu, no i wielki finał - wejście do pokoju.

Excellent service from Maria Alejandra and Mrs. Sandra. The food was super tasty, the location is strategic for visiting key sites, everything is very calm, and there's a chill-out atmosphere.

We visited during the rainy season. The kitchen and living area lack adequate protection from the rain, so everyone got wet, including the food. The most serious issue was that the staff was soaked, putting them at risk of getting sick or having an accident in the worst-case scenario.

The bathtub especially after a long exhausting day at Tayrona national park & the ac

There were bugs in the bed and the walls/ceilings weren’t properly sealed so there were lizards chirping in our room all night. The shower drain overflowed and we had to get staff to help us multiple times. The instructions given to get to the hotel were not accurate and there were no lights to get there at night. Staff did not speak any English. It’s a quiet serene hotel that has so much potential and we really wanted to love it, but we cut our stay here in half and booked a different accommodation.

Very nice style and private cool water jacuzzi.

The room was much smaller than in the pictures, but still nice. Without a car, you are pretty much stuck there.

It was amazing an calm

Everything was pretty good

Amazing staff , great food and views Lovely stay

The property is remote and in the Jungle away from the beach/road. It is quiet and very limited with regards to facilities but there is usually a member of staff available in the daytime. The breakfast and dinner was great, the curry in particular was exceptional! The staff were very friendly and very accommodating.

There is no hot water! This wasn’t that much of an issue with the hot weather but something to keep in mind if you only like hot showers. The wifi kept going on and off, as did the electricity at times but it did eventually come back on. This is expected due to the location of the hotel.

Very beautiful location with amazing staff!

There was no notes about there not being hot water, although in the end it was okay because of the weather. It was also difficult to know where exactly it is as there are no signs outside and we arrived when it was dark.

We booked the king suits and those were amazing! It was clean and all in good condition. On top a very delicious breakfast with eggs, fruits, juice, bread or arepas and unlimited coffee. Very friendly and helpful stuff.

Location and friendly staff

Everything! Amazing place, great food and fantastic view

Nothing

Lovely and super helpful hosts, comfy beds and amazing food! I absolutely enjoyed my time here and am glad I chose Casa Xue Tayrona for my stay.

Staff were lovely and amazing cooks - food was great value and very tasty. The sunset from the communal area was amazing!! Unfortunately our room wasn’t great. We booked a ‘mountain view’ but instead had a view of the carpark as it was the only lower floor room, which was very disappointing. The entrance to this room is a path that goes under a dripping pipe from a higher rooms air con, the path is also unlit with a barbed wire railing, which in the dark was extremely dangerous. If you have one of the two floors above our room then the view is probably nice and there is no dangerous path to enter the rooms. Blinds in the room were also broken so we could not fully close. There was no soap or conditioner in the room, just empty bottles, when we asked for more they said they had none. On our last day we were given some conditioner though. We enjoyed our stay regardless but do not feel this is a 4 star hotel.

Casa Xue us a little gem in the forest. Staff is extremely friendly. Big bathtub in the balcony. Really good food from the menu and the stuff is flexible to do every modification from the menu (vegan). Is a little difficult to find cause the lack of signals, but the stuff provided good indication via message. The water is not warm (but was really hot, so it wasn’t a big deal) and went a couple of time (probably more guests were showering together) The stuff was really helpful for giving information regarding places and the tayrona park and to call/manage the calling with drivers (motorbike and taxis) for the services you get the price us really good, even the owner came to us to ask if we were happy and satisfied, and if we needed something more

Beautifully located right on a small hill in the forest. Very friendly staff and clean and comfortable rooms. Make sure to have dinner here - it is delicious!

If you travel without a car its somewhat tedious to get to the beach as the land in between is mostly private property. However, buses are very frequent so you definitely can get to where you want.

The views are beautiful and the rooms are stunning. The restaurant food is good and it’s nice that’s it’s a small and intimate hotel so you can get to know other guests. We had a massage which was amazing, highly recommend.

The only real complaint is that one of our days the water and wifi cut out which was not their fault but it made that day a bit difficult since we had to take a meeting online so maybe not the best for people working. Also the walk uphill to the hotel with luggage is a bit difficult but it’s not a long walk at all.

This bijou hotel with only 5 rooms is set in the most stunning location with views to the mountains and the sea. Each room has a wooden balcony and floor to ceiling glass doors so you are constantly surrounded by nature. The staff are friendly and helpful and cook dinner for you in the evening. We had a wonderful stay.

This is a lovely hotel in a gorgeous setting. Great size bedroom/bathroom. Really comfortable. Breakfast was freshly cooked and really tasty. We had dinner also which was fab! Betsy and the rest of the staff were wonderful...so friendly and helpful. I also had the best massage ever during my stay! Would highly recommend!

N/A

The staff is amazing. The chicken curry is one of the best dishes

The fact of being in the middle of the nature. To get to the beach and restaurants is no longer than 15 minutes walking.

The staff, the diverse dinner menu, the room, and the on-site massage and laundry services.

Absolutely stunning place. Exceeded expectations and stayed one more night - would've stayed longer if we could've. Perfect getaway for couples or anyone who wants total peace and quiet and enjoy the jungle. Sandris and Belsi were exceptional, so helpful and friendly and their hospitality definitely contributed to us staying longer. Sandris also makes the absolute best food - we had dinner at the hotel every night, it was amazing. Really recommend it and would come back any time.

Hotel is in a jungle so you wont escape little bugs around so come prepared. Rooms also dont have hot water, but also who needs it with such weather :)

Beautiful setting in the middle of the jungle. Great massage services

Amenities are misleading; no hot water and the tubs outside aren’t usable unless you spend hours filling them up. The staff didn’t provide soap or new towels and left us with wet towels until we asked for them. The property had two power cuts each night meaning there was no electricity, internet and on one night, water. There was a storm and our room was leaking from the windows. The A/C was also either out of use or leaking. The property could put a sign on the road for getting there as it is hidden at the end of a dirt road and there is only a sign for another hotel meaning we were confused as how to get there. The food is okay, there are not enough seats, plates, cups for all guests though and we had to wait for other guests to finish drinking coffee and their cups to be washed out before drinking ours. There is no « restaurant » there is a table, and you can order food but you sit in the dark eating or in your room whicj attracts ants.

We loved the location and the overall design of this place. Staff very nice and helpful. Close to an amazing beach. Breakfast and dinner spot absolutely great and I can recommend the massage.

No hot water. You should be aware of the climb up to the hotel and the stairs. Not convenient for smaller kids (which was great for us traveling alone).

Big, spacious rooms, nice balcony and a lot of light. Beds are really comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. Both entrances of Tayrona Park are easy to reach with the local bus.

The beach located in walking distance of the hotel is not really inviting and it’s quite an adventurous walk to get there. If you want to have a nice beach you need to walk on the main road, take the local bus or take a (moto) taxi. If all the rooms want to have breakfast at the same time, they’re missing some tables/chairs. We had a big lake in our room after a thunderstorm - wasn’t a big problem for us but still something which shouldn’t happen in such a new building. It’s hard to find - no signs on the main road.

The place is amazing if you want to stay close to the tayrona park. But don’t bring big bags because is difficult to bring them up there. The food was amazing and the personnel too.

amazing views, big and comfortable bed, modern and minimalist decoration. nice staff and good food. Everything was perfect.

Charming little hotel with exceptionally friendly staff and delicious food. The beach is just a short walk away, and Tayrona National Park is conveniently close. The setting is peaceful and perfect for couples seeking a quiet getaway. While there were a few small ants in the room and no hot water, these were minor details in an otherwise wonderful stay. Overall, highly recommended!

Magical place with really nice hosts and breakfast, felt like a second home.

This place was amazing! We loved every second of our stay!!

- the view from the communal area was amazing - over the jungle and the sea - the Wifi was good and worked well - shampoo and shower gel was provided - the food was yummy and a decent price - the free breakfast is big and good - good location near Tayrona and easy to get the Busetta from the road to and from

this hotel is new and it shows, it needs quite a bit of improvment to feel like a nice place to stay. Some of the issues we faced and recommendations on improvement I would give to management are: - privacy -> our blinds didnt cover our windows which meant we felt very exposed in the room, I was grateful to be with my partner as as a solo female traveler I would have felt very uncomfortable - as such I would not recommend this hotel to solo female travelers. - comfort -> the showers were cold, the room wasnt cleaned the whole time we were there, there was no sheet on the bed just a blanket which felt icky to put on, desite asking for a sheet on day one we were not given one - the design looks good but struggles in reality - the top area for dinner was covered in bugs which were constantly flying at us, we asked to put the fans on to see if this would help but were told thy didnt work (the staff did get another fan to help though which was very kind!), there is not enough seating for everyone without sitting together on one table which is fine but good to know in advance, there is a bath on each balcony but it only has cold water which makes it (for me at least) unusable, walking to the room is down uneven steps with AC units dripping etc - it didnt feel comfortable and anyone with mobility issues would really struggle - there were a lot of bugs in the room - part of the price you pay staying in the jungle but a mosquito net over the bed would have been really helpful

The perfect place to disconnect from the modern world

We enjoyed our large bed in the room, also the free breakfast was a nice touch that was cooked fresh every morning. The location was only 7 minutes bus from Tayrona park which is great.

We were very disappointed with the accommodation - it advertises itself as luxurious and is 4 stars but this is misleading, we do not think the photos reflect the place accurately. Firstly the entry road should be improved, our taxi could not drive up and so we had to walk in darkness and had to request some help with bags. The room was bare, had flies inside and there is no hot water which was not made clear. There is only one table in the dining area so you are forced to sit with other guests - fine if you want to socialize but very odd to not have more tables. Also no ambiance in the hotel, totally silent 24/7 - would be nice to have some music playing in the dining/ reception area. Overall we were very disappointed with our stay here and would say it definitely is more a 3 star accom style property.

The staff were incredibly kind and helpful to us! The room had proper AC, which was highly helpful. The whole property is rather intimate and very quiet at night! It is also easy to get to Tayrona (10 min moto-taxi or taxi) or Los Cocos beach (10-15min walk). From the common dining area, the view is stunning. We had dinner there twice, and the food was great each time! We also recommend their massages service. :) They opened recently and are off a good start.

We were expecting a more wild 'jungle' view from our room, but we rather had view on the entrance (we had a the ground floor room). The terrace with their private bathtubs are not really intimate as anyone from the entrance or walking around could see it. Perhaps some additional plants would do the trick. ;)

It's a beautiful spot with spectacular views and just across the road (and up a bit of a hill) from a spectacular and quiet beach! The staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. Belsey and David treated us very well abd the food was amazing. Thoughtul free breakfast and the eating area has such spectacular views! The bed was comfortable, we had a great balcony with an amazing sea view and great for bird watching. The bathroom and shower were also clean and nice. Quiet and relaxing - we really enjoyed our stay! There is a bit of a hill to walk up (or drive) so if you don't mind that, it's worth it for the views, tranquility and food!

The rooms did feel a bit unfinished (it is a new place) and little gaps here and there probably could be sealed for better energy efficiency and keeping bugs out. It wasn't a huge deal, but more of a minor inconvenience. You are literally in the jungle so bugs are to be expected. We noticed it, but it didn't really impact our stay too much. Small minor improvements here and there would make this place even better.

this place is magic. the location, the people, the kindness. We spent two days and I really like the whole time. what about the food? WOW. one of the best I had in colombia. thank you casa xue ❤️

i can t say anything wrog
