Moig Lodge - 7 Bedroom - 13 Bed - Sleeps 20 Barn Conversion

It was simply amazing. Our expectations were more than exceeded. We would like thank Maretta and Tony, the best hosts you could wish. We will definitely come back!!!

Everything was perfect!

One of the highlights of our trip to Ireland was hands down was our stay at the Moig Lodge! What a perfect location and well considered accommodations! It was ideally located in southwest Ireland, so we could easily visit the Cliffs of Moher, Killarney, the Ring of Kerry, Cork, Dingle, Limerick, Tipperary, etc. I’d recommend looking at their site for more detailed information, video overview, and pictures: www.moiglodge.ie We travelled with 3 families plus our Dad for his Irish Adventure, 13 in total – so having the lodge’s ‘Great Room’ with the very long and beautiful wood table was ideal. We could all sit together and have room to spare for meals! The 4 bedrooms on the main floor (each with king beds plus a single and their own bathrooms), was ideal. The kids loved hanging out upstairs and had their own space to play and hang out. The bonus kicker was having your own dedicated pub / game room just a few steps out the back! The kids loved all the games such as playing on the pool table, darts, ring toss, and of course we played cards and loved having the bar / fridge right there! The only downside was us deciding to stay up late and then get later starts on our days, because we enjoyed hanging out in the pub room, chatting and playing games, lol. While everything about the Moig Lodge was great and fit our needs perfectly, the hosts were even better, what a lovely family. We were in communication with the owners as we made our way to the lodge, and thus were greeted immediately when we arrived and given a tour to know what was where - and they let us know we could leverage available house staples, so we didn’t need to go out to buy salt/pepper and other condiments, etc. The heated floors were also a nice touch! Finally, the kids’ favorite part of the stay was their 2 lovely dogs and the 2 pygmy goats! They couldn’t get enough of them – playing fetch and hanging out.

There was nothing we didn't like about the lodge or the stay! However, we wish we had more time there. Looking back, we all thought it would have been great to shave a day off Dublin and spend that extra day at the Moig Lodge! There is so much to do in the area - and with the weather bringing a 'named storm' on our Ring of Kerry day - we'd have loved to have a chance to reschedule that part of the trip we had to forego...

The property is situated in a beautiful location. The views from the back of the property are breath taking. The lodge itself is amazing, lovely spacious rooms and beautiful decor. The bar is outstanding. Darts, pool, games. What more could you want?! Our group loved it. A perfect weekend away.

Honestly, there was nothing I can fault about this property!

The property is modern spacious and clean. Tastefully decorated and set in the most stunning surroundings. The adjoining bar has a full bar, pool table, darts board and cards. It’s cozy with a fire and lovely lighting. There’s also a newly installed weigh rack! It’s a great locate for family and friends to celebrate and come together for self contained fun. Although there’s also plenty to do near by.

Very spacious, was easy to work with a full time wheelchair user. Ramps were put out and protective mats for when my son was on the floor. Bathrooms were all wet room style downstairs so suits everyone.

Great hangout areas. Really nice owners. A lot of freedom to do your own thing.

Booked Moig Lodge for my husbands 40th and I can't imagine a better place to have had it. The hosts Tony and Maretta were fantastic, super helpful and friendly. The lodge was amazing! The main living area is huge with a good kitchen and big table down the middle for us all to sit around at meals. The view was really lovely too. Each bedroom was a good size and the beds were really comfortable. There's plenty of room outside with a nice big lawn, seats with a view and loads of parking. The bar was the cherry on top. It's separate to the main house so if some guests were in bed you wouldn't disturb them at all by being in there. Many games of pool, darts and poker were played! We were able to order Guinness on tap which was a big hit (other beers were available too). I ordered it from Maretta a week before and Tony set it up when we were checking in so it was super fresh. We also loved meeting Charlie, Hunter, Daisy and Cleo (dogs and mini goats). Genuinely couldn't recommend this place more, definitely hope to return in the future. Everything you need for a good time is there, just turn up and enjoy.

Ideal set up for our family celebration. It was perfect and had everything we needed. Maretta and Tony were the hosts of your dreams and provided us with everything we needed before and during our stay. We have so many fabulous memories made in the amazing barn conversion and having our own private bar.

Moig lodge was perfect for a group gathering, the house itself is clean and comfortable with everything you could need for your stay, plenty of bathrooms and every bedroom was super cosy. Lots of space for relaxing too with the bar being a nice addition! The hosts were incredibly helpful, friendly and responsive. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again!

Spent the weekend celebrating my brothers 30th in the stunning Moig Lodge. Maretta and Tony were fantastic hosts the whole weekend. Facilities were excellent throughout,from the lodge itself to the stunning bar/games room. Would highly recommend and will be making a return trip.

The place was super nice . Both Maretta and Tony were very helpful throughout the whole process of our stay. Very good location only 30 mins approx to nearest shopping centre and 5 minute drive to local shop / restaurant. The bar was an amazing addition to the house and a great place to spend time.

The property is so spacious and clean. All four bedrooms on the ground floor have en-suites, the beds are super comfortable. The house is also lovely and warm and the kitchen has everything you could possibly need with plenty of glasses and plates etc. The bar out the back is so cute and has heaters, a pool table and dart board. We had a ball of a time in there ☺️

Fabulous place. we went for a family celebration and it was perfect. The facilities were second to none and Maretta the host was brilliant. The place was spotless and it was the little touches that made it special. I would highly recommend Moig Lodge for a relaxing break. We will definitely be back

What an amazing place! Maretta and Tony are fantastic and friendly hosts, while the property itself is huge, really clean, comfortable and full of personal touches. Our party included four adults & five children and we had a cracking weekend. The on-site bar is really cool, while the property location is great to visit both Limerick and Kerry. I would highly recommend it, and we will definitely be back again.

Absolutely nothing at all. The place is incredible.

Excellent job done on converting the barn into accommodation. Spacious, stylish. Dog friendly. An option to use a bar (can’t call it a shed) is brilliant. Next time will order a keg in advance.

Leak in one bathroom needs to be addressed. General cleanliness has a room for improvement.

We had an amazing weekend at Moig Lodge! It was spacious enough to comfortably accommodate our large group and was newly renovated and impeccably clean. A special thanks to our incredible host, Maretta, who was exceptionally kind and attentive. Highly recommend this place for a perfect getaway!

Beautifully fitted out, kitchen was very well equipped, catered for a large group easily with lots of spaces to hang out, eat and play - something for all the family. Fabulous views too. The Bar with pool table, card table and dart board was a huge hit!

Fantastic location for a family get-together. The bar is definitely a highlight, perfect size and cozy atmosphere. Maretta and Tony were fantastic hosts, couldn't do enough for us, helpful while completely unobtrusive. It is a very comfortable location to stay in. Highly recommended.

The property was perfectly catered to our large teams needs. The property is spacious and welcoming, with fantastic facilities - bar & pool table. The location was ideal for us. Communication from our hosts was excellent and they accommodated our late(er than planned) arrival. We really look forward to the opportunity to stay again, later in the year.
