Toilets dirty even if the place was almost empty of guests, quite far from everything, I don't eat eggs so the breakfast was quite sad (nothing to spread on the bread) it would be great to have an alternative to replace it ! ;)

Lovely place in Ha Giang, clean, lots of plants everywhere, huge terrace with a nice view on the city, the breakfast is really good and it's included in the price: unlimited coffee, bread with eggs, yougurt and fruits. The staff it's really nice and helped me renting a motorbike.Last things: the cats are the highlight of this place, they make this place peaceful and relaxing. Definetly my favourite place in Ha Giang city

Das Haus ist hellhörig und die Betten etwas hart. Frühstück ist minimalistisch.

The cats. Making friends! The staff. The terrace! Wifi was ok, got work done. Being able to work with the mountain view was the highlight. I could also work on the big tables in the lobby or in the room.. Room was advertised, but I wish it had something to store away the bag and clothes. Breakfast was good, 1 or 2 sandwiches with eggs, fruit, coffee and tea. Laundry was clean too!

The perfect stay in ha giang, the included breakfast is the most generous i’ve had in a while! The cats are gorgeous and so loving, and so are the staff/volunteers! We felt right at home here. We also did the 4 day ha giang loop with lazy cat and i couldn’t reccomend it more for a more quiet experience away from the big tour groups! (still with lots of fun though!)

L organisation du loop au dernier moment avec une équipe de « easy driver » sérieux a un prix correct. Le circuit a été magnifique.

Je recommande cet homestay pour l organisation du loop. L hôtel est dans son jus comme on dit ( mais pas cher!). La deuxième nuit passée au retour du loop, les draps n étaient pas propres.

It was such a welcoming lovely hostel. I don't remember her name, but the lovely Hungarian volunteer does an amazing job of making it feel like home. So welcoming and happy to recommend good local spots. The room was clean and very comfortable. I am allergic to cats and I was a little nervous, but the rooms are cat free and very clean - so no issues. Breakfast was yummy on the beautiful plant filled roof top.

Super homestay avec un personnel très chaleureux! Nous avons bien aimé l’endroit et la terrasse sur le toit. Tout était propre et agréable! :)

The cats, the place, the people, aleatory order. First place the cats though :)) Duy and the two other people taking care of the place were very nice! Many thanks for the Miss there taking care of our breakfast. Loved her flowers and plants and how she took care of them. Of the place. Of us. Mister as well, very nice person as well. Duy, one of the best receptionists I have ever met. Hope I will see you again all one day. :)

Nothing worth mentioning.

Easy to locate, quiet and helpful. The breakfast offered in the mornings were really nice and the staff were helpful.

The shared toilet and shower areas could have been cleaner.

Hatten ein Zimmer mit Gemeinschaftsbad. War super. Haben dort unser Moped geliehen und sind 3 Nächte die Loop gefahren. Super Startpunkt sehr gut organisiert und konnten noch duschen gehen als eir zurück kamen und mit dem Bus weiterfuhren. Alles perfekt

Duy was friendly and super helpful. He sent us a Google Maps route that was essential for solo our Ha Giang expedition! Cats were cute. Room was basic but comfortable and clean. We rented a motorbike from the homestay which was not too expensive. They let us leave our bags in lockers while we did the loop.

The motorcycle we rented had intermittent issues with the indicators and horn not working.

It’s a perfect place if you need to stay one night in town before starting the Hà Giang loop the next day. I did the loop with “The Real Hà Giang loop company”, and I recommend it 100%.

The sheets weren’t clean at all, the were hair and dust on them. Also, I wasn’t provided a towel by first-hand, so I had to ask.

would 100% recommend to do the Ha Giang Loop with them, it’s a small group super well organised and the drivers are adorable. The breakfast is included and delicious and we were able to do laundry when we got back from the loop

Helpful and friendly owners, they made us food when we arrived late, rented us motorbikes and booked us the bus back to Hanoi. Their cars are lovely!

The room didn’t have a window on the outside, only towards the staircase/corridor and it was opaque glass. The light was often on outside and therefore it was very bright in the room.

Hicimos también el Ha Giang Loop con ellos y estuvo todo perfecto, 100% recomendable, cuando volvimos nos dejaron quedar en el hotel una noche más y nos consiguieron los pasajes de bus para movernos a otra zona. Lo super recomiendo y los gatitos son hermosos!

We only stayed one night after the loop to recover but it was what we needed and the cats were cute. The owner is really nice.

Duy was very helpful, super sweet - he arranged our loop tour for us and answered all our questions. The homestay was clean and comfortable. We didn’t explore the area too much as we were only there the night before and after our loop but there was a supermarket close by with restaurants and about 15 minute walk to a busy area with a lot more restaurants. The tour was amazing.

Excellent Ha Giang Loop Experience! I had an unforgettable experience doing the Ha Giang Loop with this company. Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and always willing to help. My easy rider was amazing — he was kind, knowledgeable, and made sure I felt safe and comfortable throughout the journey. The route was stunning, with breathtaking views, well-planned stops, and plenty of opportunities to learn about the local culture. The accommodations were clean and cozy, and the food was delicious at every stop. This trip was truly the highlight of my time in Vietnam. I stayed here for one night after completing the Ha Giang loop with another company and had the loveliest experience. The host was really nice and invited me to go out for lunch as soon as I arrived. The volunteers were also incredibly friendly and helpful with whatever you needed. Loved the family-style dinner they organized that gave the opportunity to meet and talk to other travelers as well. Last but not least the lovely and chonky cats deserve their own mention!

My boyfriend left a review after we stayed in the hostel and the owner contacted me on Instagram to send me an agressive private message - this is totally unacceptable. There was no one at the hostel reception when we arrived and when we left. We accidentally ran into a volunteer upstairs who showed us to our room. The hostel itself and the room don’t look like the pictures on booking. The room was filthy dirty, there were ants in the bed. I’m not sure the sheets were clean… the walls are very thin, you can hear everything in the corridor and in the next door room. Also the door is translucent, so the light from the corridor at night is disturbing to sleep. The bathroom area looks like a construction site. The included breakfast was supposed to start at 8am, which is quite late knowing that the motorbike tours start early. When we were leaving at around 8:10 there was still no sign of breakfast at all. When we were leaving, there was no one at the reception either. We were just told by message to leave the money on the table. Certainly it’s cheap. But other places in town are cheap as well. On our return from the loop we stayed in a different place for the same price, and it was really decent, with private bathroom, good breakfast starting early and actual people at the reception desk. I think the owner should use his time to clean his hostel instead of sending agressive messages to customers.

The host is great, very funny and very welcoming. The tour was amazing and the host will arrange everythig for you.

Helpful host organizes a loop trip for you, books a bus, recommends the best bus connections. Super friendly volunteers work there, you will meet beautiful cats there. Comfortable bed, nice restaurant on the roof top.

I was using crutches at the time, and was having trouble going up the stairs, so they help my carry my things upstairs and help me get up there, then they told me to just stay at this floor and they would bring me food so I didn’t have to use the stairs an unnecessary amount of time. Absolutely amazing. Be aware of roaming, sweet and cuddly cats ;)

It was a very well planned Ha Giang Loop experience. The drivers did not go crazy, the restaurant selections were generally good and the accommodations were of good quality.

The owner checked us in during the night. That was very helpful as we were not able to access Internet on our travels. The room we had was quite clean and hygiene was good.

Our stay was limited to two days and we were struggling with our health a little bit. During our stay there were big renovations, which started at around 7am and we struggled to get more sleep than 2 hours a night, as we heard every movement and toilet visit. Even during the day we couldn't manage a nap. When we were checking our options to visit the Ha Giang Loop, only 2 & 3 days-touring was offered so we moved on to actually do a one-day trip offered by somebody else. That annoyed the personal quite a bit, which made us feel uncomfortable.

I only stayed for a night after returnin from the Ha Giang Loop. I really enjoyed my very brief stay. Everyone was friendly, the beds are comfy, the dorm is spacious. I got invited to the rooftop in the evening, which was super cool as well! I would definitely stay at this hostel again!

A really nice place to stay for one night after to after the Ha Giang loop! Our room was clean and had a very comfy bed. Lorrine was super kind and made a really nice breakfast.

The staff was great, really friendly and we were welcomed with some fresh fruit which was really nice. Also the room was spacious and the bed very comfortable.

Unfortunately, the bathroom and especially toilettes were not very clean and also the floor in the room was quite dirty, so we were actually quite glad we only stayed for a night.

The shower had shampoo and body wash available to use. There is laundry service available which we also made use of. Calm and chill place to hang out after doing the Ha Giang Loop. Amazing value for money and offered cheap food with massive portions! There are four floofy and friendly cats. Breakfast was eggs on bread and lots of fruit with tea or coffee, free water refills too :)

Great hostel! Staff made it very easy to book the loop on one day notice for a good price. They also have a good location that’s a close walk to the city but quiet. Lastly staff is very good and you get yummy free breakfast / would recommend.

The perfect place to stay in Ha Giang! Rooms are super clean and comfy. The bathrooms & showers are spotless. Lovely and welcoming staff who were super helpful. They offer Ha Giang Loop tours and although we organized ours prior with a different company, we heard great things from other guests and their price is unbeatable! I felt right like at home. Communication was super easy, room big and clean. Very comfortable bed. And Duy helps with everything, even helping to solve problems during travelling. We also borrowed motorbikes for a loop which were in a great condition and again we had Duy on WhatsApp for ,just in case’ Bonus: 4 super friendly cats

The atmosphere is very laid back and the owner and the volunteers makes you feel welcomed. There is a small "self service" station with tea, water and fruit 24/7 and breakfast is included. The owner was very helpful with everything. The rooms are modern and the beds are clean and comfy. Very cute and friendly cats.

The cats "area" was next to the toilets and it smelled like cat pee most of the time. The rooms had cute fishies in glass bowls, I felt sorry for the fish being in such small containers. Being in a very humid place it's difficult to get stuff dry so the towels smelled a bit musty and the hot water ran out when I was washing my hair, but it's not a problem if you know this and take quick showers.

We stayed here the night before starting the Ha Giang loop and had an excellent experience. The owners were super nice and helped us to coordinate our motorcycle rental. We were able to store our bags in lockers for no extra charge while we did the loop and they allowed us to use their bathrooms/showers after we returned even though we were not staying there that night. Highly recommend.

Duy was very helpful, we joined one of thier tours with our own bike. The pace was relaxed and the riders didn't take any chances . The tour worked out very well despite the poor visibility. The food was great while at the homestay and on tour.

I don’t often leave reviews, but this was an absolutely amazing experience! we stayed at the hostel & did the Ha Giang tour! Duy (the owner) is so nice and made our trip! The hostel is clean, has everything you need. We arrived late at night and felt right at home when we were welcomed warmly by Duy. We didn’t have a tour booked and he organized everything for us for the next day: we got a private tour with two super nice easy riders- as two girls (27y/o) we felt safe, had lots of fun and it was just what we needed! The experience felt authentic and relaxed - yet adventurous. Duy gives back to his community, has great values and wants to make sure the drivers as well as the highland kids are respected & well-taken care of. It felt good to be part of that experience. Overall very good value for price!

Lazy Cat is a fantastic Homestay in the centre of Ha Giang. Our bus arrived much later than planned and the kind owner accommodated a late check-in - left the light on in the bedroom + bathroom and told us to help ourselves to snacks and tea if we were hungry (which we were!). This is one of the warmest welcomes we’ve had in Vietnam and was appreciated after a nightmare journey from Hanoi. It was super affordable for a private room and included a simple breakfast of eggs + bread and bananas. The hostel is light and bright which is refreshing. The best thing is the owner’s incredible cats - I would have stayed longer just for them!

I really enjoyed my stay at the Lazy Cat Homestay. The beds were super comfortable and the place is nice and clean, you can check in anytime you want (which really helps because the night busses mostly arrive in the middle of the night), you get the free breakfast which includes two eggs, toast and some fruit + coffee if you want and there is a snack table that is available to you all day long, with free drinkable water. The owner and the girl helping there were both so kind. I did the Ha Giang loop with the hostel and i really loved it. I loved that we were in a really small group, our easy drivers were super nice and fun and the tour includes a lot of places that some agencies skip. So I would definitely recommend taking the tour with them. They also arranged the bus to Sapa for me. And you can also do the laundry with them. So overall it was a perfect hostel to stay at☺️
