Amazing view and swimming pool. Bedrooms were comfortable and had a/c. Living areas had lots of different seating options.

Espaço fenomenal e o proprietário foi super atencioso. Facilitou o check-in e o check-out. Recomendo muito esta casa.

A cozinha ( frigorífico/bancadas) e os vidros exteriores não estavam bem limpos.

We would highly recommend Villa Mar Lindo, the view from the property is stunning, our children loved the pool, very clean, there is comfortable outdoor seating & loungers, also an outdoor shower & toilet. The property is maintained to a very high standard, fabulous view from every room, a kitchen equipped with everything you would need. The bathrooms have also been upgraded with a newly refurbished en-suite in the master bedroom. We were delighted with the welcome basket as we had a late flight & also all the condiments supplied in the kitchen. Ponta do Sol is a quiet village about a 20 minute walk downhill but coming back is very steep walk, taxis are available for about €5, we rented a car and would recommend having a car if you stay in Ponta do Sol. Clive was very responsive via text if you needed anything. Carlos who looks after the property locally is available if you have any issues. Would highly recommend this property

Amazing villa, amazing pool, amazing views!

I suspect it’s about as good as it gets for villas in Madeira. Very spacious, modern, comfortable and well equipped with amazing views and a fantastic heated pool. Very well equipped kitchen with bigger than usual fridge freezer. The location is also very quiet. We found it well located for visiting Madeiras amazing botanic gardens, mountain walks and scenery, the surprisingly gentile city of Funchal. A car is desirable.

Das Haus ist sehr modern,alles ist vorhanden,es fehlt an nichts. Der Pool ist beheizt. Der Gastgeber ist war immer für uns da! Danke Clive… Wenn noch einmal Madeira,würden wir immer wieder das Haus nehmen.

Wij verbleven 6 nachten in dit fantastische huis. Bij binnenkomst op de etage met de slaapkamers en badkamers werden we er even stil van: zoveel ruimte en comfort, alles keurig netjes, bedden opgemaakt en dan het uitzicht op zee... geweldig!! Met de wenteltrap naar beneden en daar was ook alles prima in orde. De keuken hebben we meerdere malen gebruikt om zelf te koken, eten deden we binnen in de eethoek en dan was er nog een hele grote zitruimte waar we later op de avond heerlijk konden ontspannen. Wat het voor ons helemaal afmaakte was natuurlijk de buitenruimte met het zwembad. Ik heb heel wat baantjes gezwommen, in de ochtend of zelfs 's avonds. Ook al was het nog maart. Madeira heeft ons hart gestolen, Sea view villa Mar Lindo heeft daar zeker aan bijgedragen! Bij twijfel.... doen, het is de prijs zeker waard!

Mar Lindo is a beautiful vacation home. Our family had such a great time both in the town of Ponta do Sol and especially the house. Staying over for Christmas was a good decision. The property is walking distance to the town below. The town had more than enough of what we needed for groceries and shops. Our hosts were wonderful! Not only did they provide clear instructions and recommendations for the town. They also ensure their property is fully-equipped, well maintained, clean, and a relaxing experience.

We wish we could stay longer.

The villa is spacious, modern, and beautifully designed, with stunning views and one of the cleanest, most amazing pools we’ve ever experienced. It was incredibly relaxing to sit outside and enjoy breakfast each morning, and we made great use of the well-equipped kitchen and BBQ for other meals. We arrived quite late, and it was great to have the generous welcome basket waiting for us, a really thoughtful touch. The local area is gorgeous, and the town is within walking distance. The return walk is steep uphill, but manageable. The town itself is chilled and scenic, with loads of lovely restaurants and bars, we tried many and were never disappointed. Clive was very responsive and helpful when needed throughout our stay, dealing with everything promptly and professionally.

The place could do with a little more TLC in a few areas, just small maintenance jobs that a handyman could easily sort out. The lamppost by the pool is slightly distracting at night but manageable. Parking is tight, so a small car is recommended, which is generally useful across Madeira. Overall, these minor issues didn’t detract from a lovely, relaxing stay.

Impressive villa, great size, amazing views that will never get old. Owner had thought of all the little things to make it a very easy stay. I hope to go back again some day. Helpful with all questions I had.

Only small issue we had was a small leak from the bidet that we had to dry up each day. I'm sure a temporary issue that will be fixed soon.

We had a blast! This is a fantastic, spacious holiday house equipped with everything you might need during your stay. The pool is big and deep enough, and the views are breathtaking. The location is great—Ponta do Sol beach, with its bars and restaurants, is just a 10-minute walk downhill. Clive was very responsive and quickly solved any small issues we had during our stay.

Climbing back from the center can be quite challenging, as the hill is pretty steep. Taking a car is a better option if you have any mobility issues.

Very spacious and well-equipped house, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Ocean view from all the windows of the house (you won't see the sunset, it is visible on the other side of the mountain). Good size and depth (1.60m) swimming pool. Very good location, 15 minutes walk to restaurants and the ocean. Ponta do Sol is a very cozy village.

Hiding the lamp would definitely increase the value even more. But we could get used to it :)

L’emplacement de la maison est ce qui nous a attiré. La piscine avec vue sur la mer. La communication avec le propriétaire est excellente. La petite attention avec un plateau de produits locaux a été apprécié Les lits sont confortables et la cuisine est bien équipée si vous choisissez de cuisiner.

On ne peut rien redire sur cet établissement. Cependant, le wifi ne se rend pas à l’extérieur.

Spacious, well presented and well equipped villa with a good sized swimming pool. Host was responsive and attentive. Well positioned to travel into Funchal and around the island. Property located in a quiet residential area.

Property is on a hill, so walking down and back up from the resort centre is a challenge, especially if you have young children or elderly relatives. Car recommended.

My stay at this property was truly enjoyable. The pool with a view was absolutely amazing – swimming while admiring the beautiful scenery was a real pleasure and the perfect way to relax after a day of sightseeing or activities. The location was also excellent: everything you need is close by, yet the area is peaceful and quiet, making it easy to unwind. I’d also like to highlight the great communication with Clive. He was very responsive, helpful, and made sure everything was clear from the start. Any questions I had were answered quickly, which made me feel well taken care of throughout my stay. I definitely recommend staying here – the fantastic pool, excellent location, and professional service make it a place you’ll want to return to!

Impeccably clean with modern decor and a great layout. Beautiful views. Excellent communication from host. Well stocked kitchen. Clothes washer and dryer were very useful. The location worked well for us because we wanted to stay on the sunnier, warmer coast while exploring the island rather than spending much time in Funchal. We drove down to the little town down the hill to eat dinner there a couple of nights. Ponta do Sol is one of the most picturesque little towns on the island with a relaxing vibe. There’s an additional unit on the property next to the pool, but it was vacant so we had total privacy.

- location was good. Car is a must. Paul do Mar is a very cute little village. View from the house/terrace/pool really great - pool was nicely warm. We could swim easily in April - house is big and has everything you might need for a stay (including. tabs for dishwasher, liquid for washing machine) - dark curtains in the bedrooms. - easy and clear self check-in special thanks for welcome gift :)

Sehr großes Haus und schön eingerichtet

The view from the terrace and all the rooms was absolutely incredible. I also loved the warm and spacious pool, the excellent location of the property, and the convenience of private parking.

The only minor issue was the noticeable echo in the house.

Very modern property, bright and clean, beautiful interior design, equiped with everything you need. The views are amazing and the heated pool is perfect for a family vacation. Very good communication with our host, clear and easy check-in process.

Too short of a stay

Fantastische plek en alles aanwezig in het huis! Veel extra’s zoals broodrooster, 2 wasmachines, ventilatoren enz enz Erg luxe wat dat betreft.

Er waren best wat dingen kapot zoals kranen, kapotte muur, planken die los lagen. Glazen afscheiding bij het zwembad had veel kalkaanslag waardoor het niet helder was om er doorheen te kijken. Automatisch hek bleef vaak hangen.

Het uitzicht is fantastisch en het zwembad heerlijk!

Top Aussicht, toller großer Pool, genügend Waschmöglichkeiten, super ausgestattete Küche - der Kühlschrank hat eine eigene Eiswürfelfunktion, es hat an nichts gefehlt! Es gab sogar ein großzügiges Willkommenspaket! Wirklich wunderschöne Unterkunft!

Einige Bretter der Terrasse waren locker. Kleinigkeiten sanierungsbedürftig (Wand Bad OG, Duschabfluss)

Die Lage ist traumhaft, das Haus groß und gemütlich. Der Pool ist toll, es fehlt an nix. Und der Gastgeber ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, überrascht mit einem Willkommensgruß. Dies ist wirklich eine traumhafte Unterkunft

The Villa is exceptional - spacious rooms with sea views, very comfortable and well equipped and the outdoor space is wonderful- the photos of the pool don’t do it justice - much bigger than we were expecting, warm and of course with amazing views of the Atlantic! The location is great - a short walk down to the town with a supermarket and a few bars / restaurants. The host is great- we had d a bit of a problem with the electricity on the first evening but Clive helped us to sort it out straight away - he was very responsive and helpful. Thank you Clive!

The photos for the property don't fully do it justice in terms of how spacious it is. We've stayed in properties all around the world but were very impressed on arriving at Villa Mar Lindo. The 10 metres heated pool and the stunning view topped it off. It's a very comfortable, generally well equipped property. We enjoyed our stay there... lots of interesting places to visit within an easy drive. The owner is very responsive to questions and seems genuinely interested in his guests enjoying their stay.

Best accomodation in the whole isle. Best holiday ever. Beautiful house, heated swimming pool (28C) with a breathtaking stunning view to the ocean and beneath surrounded with the banana trees. Well-equipped house, from the bath towels to the salt everything is in its place, all with the latest design with impaccable taste and furnished with the highest comfort. Very nice heart-warming welcome present from the owners.

Beautiful and HUGE villa with stunning view. Location quite nice - higher than city centre but still close to everything. Owner is very responsive person and is reacting quickly to every issue. Even though we had few problems at the house - he managed it quite well.

In front of the house (view from terrace) is construction site that is not on the photos. Intrusive noises start at 8 am and last until 4 pm. From Monday till Saturday… so if you want to chill in the house most of the time - choose other place :) beside that - be aware that in front of the pool, there is street lamp, that is shining quite a lot during the night.

The location of the villa is wonderful. It is located close to some great levada walks and right below the villa is the quaint town of ponto do sol where there is a swimming location, great restaurants/bars. The villa is well equipped and comfortable for cooking, all appliances are new and modern, everything functions very well, the views can't be beat and are seen in every room. The beds are comfy and there are ample bathrooms: 2 full bathrooms and one half bath.The size of the pool is spectacular and not only that, it is saltwater and its heated! Parking is convenient and private for the property with a locked gate. There was four of us but the house can accommodate more than 1 family easily. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We will be back hopefully soon.

Très belle maison avec une vue incroyable dans toutes les pièces. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la piscine à débordement, le salon et sa vue panoramique, les chambres confortables … On s’endort avec le bruit de la mer ! Bref une très belle et agréable location !
