The property is amazing and the location is good, easy to navigate for the hikes during the day. You will definitely need a car to get there, but it is a great place to stay if you are with the family or group of friends. They have 4 bedrooms that can fit a big family

This place is spectacular by day and night. I could easily spend the day on the terrace just watching the world go by. Beautiful house, beautiful location, very comfortable, all the amenities, a fantastic welcome. We loved staying here. Obrigado!

Nous nous sommes posés la question quant à savoir si nous allions séjourner hors de Funchal. Puis nous avons vu la maison de Carlos et avons réservé. Quelle merveilleuse idée. La Casa Coelho est un paradis dans Madère, parfaitement situé, avec tous les équipements imaginables et une vue à couper le souffle. Il ne faut pas hésiter une seconde à y aller et à séjourner hors de Funchal. La plage et la piscine naturelle sont, de plus, accessibles très facilement à pied avec une petite pente à monter. Enfin, de nombreux restaurants sont accessibles directement à côté de la maison. Nous y retournerons sans aucun doute.

Rien, tout était parfait. Sans doute une des meilleurs locations que nous ayons fait ces dernières années.

We had a fantastic stay at Casa Coelho. Carlos is an amazing host – very friendly and always helpful. He gave us many valuable recommendations for local restaurants and places to visit, which made our trip even better. The house is in one of the best locations in Ponta do Sol. From the house and terrace you can enjoy almost 360° views of the town and the ocean. Mornings were perfect for coffee in the warm sunshine, and evenings were just as beautiful with stunning views over the town. We also noticed that when it was cloudy elsewhere on the island, the sun was often shining in Ponta do Sol. The house itself is wonderful – spacious, very comfortable and extremely well equipped. The kitchen has everything you might need, and the laundry room is a big plus for longer stays. Everything is thoughtfully prepared, and you immediately feel at home. Honestly, we didn’t want to leave. We would absolutely stay here again and hope to come back soon!

The only small downside was that in the mornings you can occasionally hear some traffic from the road below. If you are a light sleeper and like to sleep in, earplugs might be helpful. Otherwise, everything was excellent.

The villa is ideally situated not too far from the beach and restaurants. It takes about 10mins to walk down to the main centre and about 15mins back up the steep hill, although we enjoyed walking off our dinner. We liked that the villa has 4 bedrooms which meant we could have a bedroom each and 2 bathrooms to share between the four of us. We also enjoyed having a big kitchen to prepare our meals. Overall a delightful villa for our stay, with private parking which really helps.

Location - you would need a car to go anywhere. There were also ants in the kitchen after we arrived but Carlos took care of that immediately.

Good space, clean and a very nice view. Short walk to center with some good restaurants. AC in every bedroom, and plus for a barbecue :)

here. Such a beautiful place overlooking Ponta do Sol but within easy walking distance of the sea and a clutch of restaurants and bars. The lounge is simply stunning and the kitchen is huge with wonderful views and full sun for breakfast time. There is a patio that spreads all around the house so eating breakfast and dinner outside is a pleasure. There is a barbecue. The host is so helpful and responsive for any questions. We had a wonderful week and planning another stay next year. Ponta do Sol is so central for the whole island. Book now!

The house, the view, location up to 30min drive to nearly all attractions of the island, airport is about 45min drive and east coast tip around 1h from the house

nothing much but just to consider for those who have some health conditions, there is a steep walk to the village center, you can still drive down to the center and the beach in 2mins, also there is no real public transport available so if you want to go out from ponta do sol you need to use the car

Het huis is heel ruim en alles was superschoon bij aankomst. Het uitzicht is prachtig! Bij aankomst lag er een persoonlijke brief klaar met een uitgebreid welkomstpakket. Heel attent. Een absolute aanrader.

Carlos offers his magnificent Villa in a truly breathtaking location high above the pretty town of Ponta do Sol. The villa is exactly as described, with spectacular views virtually 360! So sea, hills & town views with sunshine all day. At night you are rewarded with a magically lit view of the hillside properties. The villa was spotless and each room provided everything you need. The beds were very comfortable affording good nights sleeping. You definitely need a car for access out and around the island but the walk down to the beach is less than 10 minutes ( downhill). The walk back up longer as it is very steep! Carlos offered some welcome refreshments and gifts of Madeira , a lovely touch. The use of an outside kitchen to bbq in the evening was fabulous. There were also full laundry facilities if needed. This truly is a wonderful home to stay and Carlos is a very responsive host who answers any questions immediately, either about the villa or general activities on the island. His unobtrusive attitude was so friendly and welcoming.

Будинок чудовий, просторий і є все необхідне. Було чотири окремі кімнати та дві душові кімнати. У помешканні було чисто, нас зустріла вітальна корзинка з фруктами, вином і водою. Навколо красива природа, банани і чудовий вид на океан. Одного вечора ми навіть влаштували вечерю з грилем на терасі, це було прекрасно. Цей будинок добрий і наповнений любов'ю. Напишу важливий момент щодо паркування авто: будь ласка, не повертайте різко у заїзд у гараж, дайте трішки на дорозі вліво і потім заїжджайте у двір. Я читала про цей момент з заїздом тут у коментарях, просто будьте уважними, коли будете заїжджати.

Mój pobyt w Villi w Ponta do Sol był absolutnie wyjątkowy! To idealne miejsce na wakacje, które spełniło wszystkie moje oczekiwania. Lokalizacja: Villa znajduje się w malowniczej okolicy, z pięknymi widokami na ocean. Bliskość plaży i lokalnych atrakcji sprawiła, że każdy dzień był pełen wrażeń.

Geweldige locatie met prachtig uitzicht. Ruime woning met een heerlijke tuin en balkon. Goed bereikbaar en zeer vriendelijk ontvangst met een leuke verrassing.

Het enige wat beter kon was de afvoer van het water in de douches (het liep al een klein stuk de gang in). Verder was alles perfect!

Wat een geweldig en ruim huis!! Dank aan mr. Carlos voor de gastvrijheid en de locale treats bij aankomst. Het uitzicht is geweldig en de terrassen om het huis erg fijn, zodat je altijd kan kiezen of je in of uit de zon wilt zitten. Na een wandeling nog even gauw een duik in de oceaan? Geen probleem, gewoon even naar beneden wandelen. Wel klimmen om terug te komen, maar wij vonden dat heerlijk en deden dat meerdere keren per dag. De kamers zijn ruim, de bedden en bank comfortabel en alles netjes en schoon. Ponta do Sol is prachtig en heel gezellig!!

Tiene unas vistas impresionantes. Amplio, limpio y muy bien equipado. El kit de Bienvenida es todo un detalle. I Carlos ha estado pendiente de nosotros.

Una de las camas de matrimonio es pequeña. El pàrquing para dos Coches es muyyy justo. Y el wifi no llega bien.

The house is well equipped and provides a stunning, almost 360 view on the Ponta do Sol Valley and the sea. It has a nice terrace with great facilities for barbecue. Everything was very clean and we were welcomed with a awesome gift basket of local goods by which we felt really welcomed. Upon request Carlos provided additional child equipment like kids bed, high chair, towel and even some toys :-). Which was really valuable for us!

This is without doubt the most impressive villa we have stayed in, for the price, in Europe. The location, the views, the huge lounge, the superb kitchen and the ultra modern bathrooms, are all wonderful. Short walk to restaurants but a bit of a hill on the way back. We liked the fish restaurants in Madelana do Mar better. Easy access to the main road to Funchal and to the beautiful walks on the western levadas and Paul da Serra. There is some traffic on the road to the villa but generally so peaceful. We had great food and drink on the two patios, one gets the morning sun and one gets the evening sun. The host contacted us twice to check all was okay, a perfect holiday. We will make this our 'go to' villa for future visits.

Casa meravigliosa, esattamente come in foto. Fornita di tutto ciò che ci serviva. I proprietari ci hanno fatto trovare il benvenuto con vino, biscotti e frutta fresca! le stanze grandi e pulite, vista stupenda. Posizione inizialmente difficile da trovare, ma poi una volta trovata la strada, semplicissima!

Great location, a short (if steep) walk from the beach and restaurants at Ponta do Sol. The villa is well equipped and has incredible views over the town and out to sea, with a wraparound terrace to make the most of the sun and scenery.
