Bei Ankunft war das Haus innen ziemlich beschädigt, da offenbar Affen Zugang erlangt hatten. Geschirr war kaputt, vieles war herumgeworfen worden, auch die Betten waren betroffen. Dann wurde eine Reinigung versprochen, die nach 30 min beendet war. Ein Aufenthalt war für uns bereits aus hygienischen Gründen unmöglich. Auch die Gefahr neuer Attacken durch die vor Ort streunenden Affen war nicht ausschliessbar. - Unsere Forderung nach einer finanziellen Rückerstattung für unser neues Quartier, welches notwendig war,kam man nur sehr bedingt entgegen (unter 20 Prozent).

Jock's Bay had a lovely view and was in a great location. It was just off the road so you could hear some traffic at night in the rooms, but it was pretty minimal. Lovely views and the space was really lovely. All the rooms were comfortable. Apart from my comments below, everything you need to cook etc. Andrew was very responsive to any requests for info etc. It was about a five minute walk to the pretty secluded beach - other people could access it but pretty quiet. Water is cold but I went in for a bracing swim! Until I saw that some very smelly water / sewage was coming out of the hill ! All in all loved it. Enjoyed visiting Hermanus and there are some shops for getting provisions in Betty's Bay.

It's always hard to know what you are going to get in self catering, but most places I've gone to in SA have at least a few welcome tea bags, coffee and coffee filter, plus a jar of milk, salt and pepper and oil. Just the very basics to get going. I suppose at least there was some washing up liquid and a sponge. Worrying about Baboon's getting in! A beautiful area with fynbos that slowly is being covered by houses - so wonderful to enjoy it, whilst sad at the same time.

Beautiful surroundings, peaceful and tranquil with fantastic views and easily accessible from the main road with ample parking. It is a safe and secure area, and the home is beautiful, neat, clean, and spacious.

Our family recently enjoyed a getaway to Betty's Bay, and it was an unforgettable experience. The house was perfect, equipped with all the comforts you could imagine. It was impeccably clean and neat, making it a true home away from home. The breathtaking views were a highlight, with the sea on one side and the mountains on the other. A perfect blend of relaxation and natural beauty—highly recommended!

Accommodation was well equipped, clean and comfortable. Loved the big indoor fireplace as we had the worst weather unfortunately and were stuck indoors all weekend but were warm and cosy.

Just some suggestions would be the addition of more serving spoons and a larger toaster.

Clean facilities, beautiful view, very spacious and very calm and peaceful, definitely a recommend for a weekend getaway.

Squeaky ceilings when the wind blows, but we quickly got used to it. The next time we will remember to take dishwasher soap and extra tea towels.

Loved the house, loved the location, loved the view. We will definitely try to go there again, this time for longer. 1 week was not enough!

The location was amazing, especially the pathway to a little secret beach.

There was very little toilet paper available . Not all bathrooms were restocked. The dishwashing liquid was out.

Amazing views - ocean on one side and mountain hills on the other. The whole process was super easy, just book and get the keys from the lock box. Really can't fault a single thing. Was such a relaxing weekend away.

Great view and comfortable layout

The house is very spacious and clean, with everything we needed. Loved the view from the living/dining room. The master bedroom was very comfortable and tidy. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

The master bathroom’s shower drained very slowly which caused it to flood a bit.
