Durban Holiday Apartments by Mieli Estates , Unit 4

The apartment was nice, very clean. Prudence was very friendly, accommodating and helpful. The host Fiona was helpful with the issue that we had and was kind enough to fully refund us provided that we checked out the same night.

1 bathroom toilet was very small but that could be overseen. We braaied on the balcony around 5:30pm and sat to eat on the balcony set up around 6:15pm. It was getting dark so we had to switch on the light. We jus sat to eat as we see this swarm of mosquitoes fly towards us. We had to collect Everything from the table n rush inside. I have never seen so many mosquitoes in 1 place. We couldn't even open the balcony door afterwards. We concluded that this was due to a river that ran behind the resort. This was really not on and i just wish this information was available before booking.

The welcome pack with tea, coffee, milk, sugar, biscuits and rusks was above what we expected. all the facilities in the unit worked well. the linen was clean and the unit was very clean. The view from the unit was relaxing and the atmosphere was quiet.

a bannister from the the bottom to the top of the stairs would make access a little easier. Parking a vehicle was also a challenge. a clothes horse to hang wet towels would have helped getting them dry.

The compound is cousy and elegant.

There's really nothing that put us off. We enjoyed our stay.

The view was great

The staff was not good and we didn't have wifi for the duration of our stay, we paid money for cleaning but the room was not clean, we also paid money for breaking the item upfront but the money was not returned.

Host was friendly,welcoming and everything was perfect. Prudence was exceptional, she was always there when we need something. She was always available. We were safe,security was very friendly too. There was also other guest by the name of Toni,she was very friendly too. The place is very quiet and in good area.

The property was kitted out with everything we needed, living room was very comfortable and Ty views are lovely to wake up to in the morning. We didn’t spend much time in the property as we were attending a 2 day wedding but for anyone looking for good value for money and need to be in the area, I’d definitely recommend.

Everything about the place was excellent, modern furniture and appliances. It felt like home. Xolani, our security guard was exceptional in his role, we felt safe and free. Thank you

The apartment had everything that we needed as a family of 3. The rooms were clean and spacious, there was wifi, a stunning view, with water gushing in the background that was very soothing at night. The security was friendly and the host most accommodating and readily available to give any information. I would recommend this space to anybody looking to go away and relax. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, so much so that we were sad to leave and travel back home. Cooking utensils, cleaning utensils, etc all made this feel like a home away from home.

I'm from Sandton, Johannesburg and this was my third stay at Mieli Estates.As someone who travels frequently for business and has stayed in countless hotels and Airbnb's , I can confidently say this apartment and complex are in a league of its own. It truly has everything you could possibly need - we didn't even have to leave the complex. From the pool and fully equipped game room ( featuring a modern pool table, soccer table, table tennis , and arcade gaming machines ) , to the fast Wi-Fi and private jacuzzi, every detail has been thoughtfully put together. The apartment is fully air-conditioned and the entire complex is well secured , giving complete peace of mind. I'm genuinely impressed by the effort that's gone into creating such a stunning and well - rounded holiday apartment complex. Conveniently located in Durban , it's the perfect blend of comfort, entertainment, and security. A big thank you to the team at Mieli Estates - I'll be back in two weeks.

Our stay at this holiday apartment was absolutely perfect.The pool was clean,well maintained and so inviting,ideal for both relaxing and enjoying a swim whenever we wanted.The private bar was a fantastic feature allowing us to enjoy drinks in the comfort of our own space.The location is fantastic ,close to everything we needed but tucked away just enough to feel private and peaceful.The apartment itself was stunning designed with unique modern decor and it was spotlessly clean.The clean white linen and incredibly comfortable beds ensured I had a good night's sleep.The apartment was fully equipped with everything we needed for self catering.It truly felt like a home away from home.We could'nt recommend it enough and I would definitely be returning for my next stay to Mieli Estates.
