Pleasant staff, breakfast and room

This is a great location in walking distance to Istanbul's most famous attractions, while also being on a quieter street than a lot of other hotels. It is also a close walk to a lovely promenade along the Bosphorus. The bed was huge and comfy, and the room very well appointed. There is even a little cabinet just for your shoes. And daily breakfast is amazing and the daily afternoon snacks that were delivered to the room were a lovely treat. The staff were very accommodating.

We had a minor issue with the AC not working very effectively -- but we did not request it to be fixed, so cannot complain. It was the first place we'd stayed in Türkiye and we didn't know if perhaps they just generally don't like their rooms as cool as we do.

The property is very central - quick walk to Hagia Sofia, blue mosque, cisterne, etc. The room was spacious and accommodated three adults very well!

The rooms got quite hot and we weren’t able to open the windows.

The room was lovely and the location was perfect for sightseeing as we were so close to many major sites. Breakfast was delicious (and included in our stay!). The staff were wonderful and very helpful in arranging transportation.

A beautiful heritage boutique hotel with lovely touches throughout. Our ‘family’ room was nicely appointed, very quiet, great shower, nice shampoo/conditioner/soaps. The staff are very attentive and welcoming. We arrived late and we had a selection of snacks waiting for us in our room. A particular thank you to Azer!!

The bed was too soft for us, but it’s a personal preference. Traditional Turkish breakfast, although lovingly arranged and looked amazingly cute, was the same every morning. But it’s not a buffet so again a personal choice.

So much to say - welcome from Aver who daily went out of his way to check in and make sure he offered his help. Breakfast is an amazing array of food and enjoyed slowly. Around the corner from many good restaurants highly recommend Paradise lovely food, fair prices and staff shine. Room has daily afternoon refreshments bread etc and bathroom was spectacular. Great stay to discover Istanbul

Hotel in kleiner Seitengasse, sehr ruhig gelegen. Zu Fuß kann man Moschee, Hagia Sophia etc. bequem erreichen, selbst der Fußweg über den Bosporus nach Karaköy ist in knapp 40 min machbar. In unmittelbarer Umgebung vom Hotel sind viele Restaurants und Shops, auch der Arasta Basar ist ganz in der Nähe. Das Frühstück ist sehr üppig. Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich. Das Hotel ist ein Holzhaus, das ist tatsächlich etwas hellhörig, aber hat uns nicht am Schlafen gehindert. Die Klimaanlage ist gut.

Das Standardzimmer ist sehr klein, das ist eng mit zwei Koffern, aber machbar. Das Bett war nicht so unser Fall, die Matratze wahr sehr weich und das Kopfteil hat ziemlich laut geknarzt, das müsste wahrscheinlich mal richtig angeschraubt werden.

Perfect location, only 5 minutes walk from the Blue Mosque and close to various restaurants, but at a very quiet street. Traditional Turkish breakfast is really impressive with plenty fruits, vegetables and bread. Eggs can be cooked as fried egg, scrambled egg or boiled egg just as what you like. Staffs are very friendly and willing to help.

Facilities are not new, maybe it is in the old town.

Dining area was a bit hot but the weather was unseasonable so it would be difficult to keep it cool.

We encountered unfortunately a slightly hostile departure as we didn't have much cash left for a tip.... a rather sour note to an otherwise pleasurable stay! We also suggested that the mattress in our room def needs replacing so we hope the feedback for hotel has been acknowledged .... we speak in honour and hope that management takes customers feedback seriously

Рядом все - и достопримечательности, и рестораны, и обменник, и магазины Хорошие просторные номера, очень комфортно. Замечательный приветливый персонал. Очень вкусный Турецкий завтрак на веранде отеля. Есть халаты, тапочки и все необходимое из косметики

The staff were terrific. After the hustle and bustle of downtown Istanbul they were available but not in your face. Gentle but efficient and friendly.

Location and staff

Blu Macel is honestly one of the best boutique hotels I have ever stayed at. The location is perfect- with all the major tourist sites within walking distance. From the mosques to the buzzing bazaars. The hotel is super cute and the rooms are insanely cozy. I had the best nights sleep during my stay. The bathroom is also full of bespoke toiletries from local brands for that added touch. I loved the breakfast. The hotel gives you a proper Turkish breakfast with some of the tastiest mezze options. Shall we talk about the unlimited tea and coffee and daily snacks as well? Rahim, Azer and Batr were the best hosts. Can't wait to come back.

La struttura è come dalle foto. Le stanze esattamente corrispondono alle immagini presentate dalla proprietà e anche di più. C'è molta attenzione ai dettagli. La pulizia è impeccabile. La posizione è in pieno centro del quartiere antico. La cordialità del personale è al massimo. Avevo prenotato la stanza con la mamma e devo dire che è stato molto piacevole utilizzarlo la sera dopo una lunga passeggiata per le vie splendide di Istanbul. Particolarmente evidenzio anche il letto: il materasso era morbidissimo, sembrava di dormire su una nuvola. Devo evidenziare anche la colazione, che era buonissima. Si sentiva che gli ingredienti utilizzati sono scelti con cura.

Unica cosa sulla quale potrei lamentarmi, magari perché non ha un ascensore. D'altronde, si tratta di una struttura antica e, soprattutto, dalla reception hanno portato le nostre valigie su e giù. Magari se vi capita di avere problemi motori, chiedete al personale in anticipo di darvi la stanza al piano terra.

Very cozy and lovely boutique hotel. The Turkish breakfast was delicious. Excellent location, all major sights are in walking distance and the tram is only 5 minutes walk. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We extended our stay from 2 nights to 5 nights because we liked it so much.

Все администраторы на ресепшена дружелюбные, Помогали с любым вопросом. Завтрак не шведский стол, но разнообразный и сытный. Номер относительно просторный. Отель относительно тихий, в первый день я думала что мы одни там живём.

Мы не заметили, или не было указано что хамам в номере не работает летом. С днем рождения не поздравили.

La ubicación del hotel es inmejorable. A 5 minutos de la plaza principal, y sin el bullicio de la ciudad. La atención y amabilidad del personal del hotel ha sido ejemplar, punto a destacar. Muy buen desayuno, en un salón muy agradable. Totalmente recomendable, relación calidad-precio positiva.

My wife and I stayed here for a part of our honeymoon in Turkiye and we loved our stay. It's a beautiful boutique hotel full of character in the historical center on the European side close to a lot of interesting history and hotspots. The hotel room was clean and had everything we needed and they added some extras for us because I told them about our honeymoon beforehand. It had a very nice bed as well. The staff is excellent. Azer and Badr were really helpful, friendly and professional. Great people. The breakfast was amazing. To start the day off with a very tasty traditional Turkish breakfast was absolutely fantastic. Thanks again for everything!

Staying in an area with a lot of touristic hotspots has its pros and cons. The downside is that a lot of restaurants in the area are aimed at tourists and try to lure you in, which can be annoying. But you can just ignore them and do some research on what restaurants provide nice and authentic food.

The Staff was always friendly and checked if we had everything. The service was all in all amazing. The breakfast was great - probably never had a better one!

Было чисто в номере. Завтрак в турецком стиле, но однообразный. Симпатичный номер удобный. Расположение!

Не работал холодильник. Сказали об этом сразу но ничего не изменилось. Кондиционер несколько раз посреди ночи входил в ошибку «CH и 38» моргали попеременно, приходилось вытаскивать ключ отключать электричество и потом все работало. Это не комфортно посреди ночи. В заключении отдыха почти в руках душевая лейка отвалилась от шланга🤦🏻‍♀️ соединяющее крепление рассыпалось на мелкие крошки. И если ваши соседи захотят громко походить по номеру вы это услышите так же громко. Деревянный дом!

Incredible staff that went above and beyond. They organised fantastic private transfers from the airport for us. Felt very welcome and comfortable. We had a lovely terrace area with our room and breakfasts were amazing.

The room was a calm, clean, comfortable oasis from th hustle and hustle of Istanbul. Breakfast was delicious and varied. All the staff were polite and very welcoming.

We are currently staying at this hotel. It is an old wooden hotel, which makes it authentic. Our room looks stylish and has everything we need. Upon arrival, we found a small plate with snacks; it turns out they make a plate everyday. If you want to stay at the centre of Sultan Ahmet, but still desire a bit of peace and quiet, this is a great choice. Do keep in mind, however, that it is a wooden hotel. Wood means creaking and some noise. It’s will be part of the experience, but you will not hear noice from outside. Wij verblijven op het moment in dit hotel. Het is een oud houten hotel, wat het een authentieke sfeer geeft. Onze slaapkamer modern ingericht. Bij binnenkomst zagen wij een kleine schaal met wat hapjes. Bleek dat ze elk dag een schaal met snacks delen. Het hotel is schoon. Indien je in het drukke Sultan Ahmet wil verblijven, maar toch een stukje rust wil, is dit een fijne keuze. Let wel op: het is en blijft een houten hotel; hout betekent gekraak en wat geluid. Het hoort er een beetje bij.

A small, comfortable hotel that's well decorated and has a real sense of home. The staff made our short stay both comfortable and efficient. The location could not have been better--perfect for dining and seeing the city. The breakfast was great, and we only wish we'd had more time to enjoy our stay

Отель расположен в десяти минутах ходьбы от главных достопримечательностей Стамбула, на месте древнего дворца Султана, на тихой улочке недалеко от Босфора. Там настолько великолепно-ощущаешь себя в восточной сказке. Завтраки очень вкусные в очень уютном ресторане. Номер тоже хочу отметить отдельно. Очень удобная кровать, стильная мебель, комфортная душевая кабина. Спасибо всем сотрудникам отеля за прекрасный отдых.

Le puse 8 por el ruido que se genera tanto en la habitación y se escucha el piso de arriba al ser los pisos de madera pero nunca fue un impedimento para descansar al menos las noches de nuestro hospedaje.

I can"t fault this hotel! Great location, wonderful huge breakfast (see photo) and lovely staff who couldn't do enough for me. 😀As a solo traveller I booked a small double but it had a massive queen bed and large bathroom. Air conditioning was effective and quiet and there was some lovely snacks left in the room each afternoon. Plenty of restaurants and shops 2 mins walk away and the area feels very safe and friendly.

Well located, good size rooms, delicious breakfast, nice showers and walking distance from excellent tourist spots, shops and restaurants but on a quiet road away from the main road. Friendly staff who were helpful.

The room was a little dark (we were given an extra lamp) and bed quite low but other than that it was great.

Es un hotel estilo boutique, la habitación super cómoda, la limpieza impecable! Todos los días dejaban todo perfecto. El personal del hotel super amable y servicial, y la ubicación ideal si te interesa estar del lado de sultanahmet, céntrico pero justo en una calle cortada que mantiene la tranquilidad, caminando a 10 min de las mezquitas y a 20 del gran bazar

La única recomendación que podría dar sería que el desayuno no sea todos los días igual, pero así y todo está muy bien, y tenes la experiencia de un desayuno turco con sus mil platitos

Действительно очень удобное местоположение в тихой улочке совсем рядом с Голубой мечетью. Номер большой, все новое, стильное. Завтрак сервируют турецкий. Персонал всем чем мог пытался помочь. Предоставили транспортную карту Истанбул Карт - это было удобно использовать при перемещении по Стамбулу. Остановка шатл -баса Хавиаст буквально в 10 минутах ходьбы пешком (остановка СултанАхмет)

Единственный, но очень существенный для нас минус - прямо под окнами нашего номера в 8 утра начали шумные строительные работы - перекладывать дорожку ко входу в отель. Мы не выспались

Маленький и милый отельчик. Моя дочь приболела и менеджер приготовил ей куриный бульон и сделал гренки. Удобные кровати и отличное расположение. В номерах очень чисто, прибирались каждый день, тщательно и аккуратно. Хотелось бы вернуться ;)

Сам отель деревянный поэтому довольно плохая шумоизоляция. Но все гости были тихими и культурно себя вели ;)

Все очень понравилось. Персонал дружелюбен и участлив. При бронировании семейного номера коннект не было указано, что этот номер с низкими потолками, мой муж очень высокий, нам без проблем заменили номер на просто семейный, он оказался более комфортным для нас. Все вопросы решались сразу. Мы очень довольным своим выбором отеля.

Breakfast was exceptional - plenty and delicious and so enjoyed the authentic, traditional offering. Coffee however was not that great. Had a cappuccino one morning and an Americano second - both were weak and not very flavorful. Staff was great. Very helpful, friendly and extremely accommodating.

Location was tough for drivers to get too . While it was nice to have so many restaurants nearby, the hawkers were relentless and very annoying.

Hotel boutique pequeno, com uma atenção individual e especial aos hóspedes. Todas as manhãs o gerente vinha conversar, perguntando sobre nossa estadia. Funcionários educados e atenciosos. Quarto bem decorado, arejado, limpo e organizado. Limpeza impecável, com quarto sempre com cheiro agradável. Produtos de limpeza e enxoval de qualidade. O típico café da manhã turco servido por eles é realmente diferenciado, pois é servido individualmente a cada mesa. Ingredientes e apresentação dos pratos excelentes.

Não que seja algo ruim, mas como o café da manhã é servido mesa a mesa, demora mais que o tradicional self-service das grandes redes e não é feito para engolir a comida e sim apreciá-la. Então se seu passeio for com guia, deve se programar bem os horários.

Perfect location! They offer an extremely clean room and the comfiest bed we ever tried in Turkey. They have the nicest staff, going above and beyond at all points. The lend us a public transport card, had complimentary snacks and tea upon arrival and everyday since, and the most complete set of toiletries waiting for us in the bathroom. The breakfast was abundant and extremely good. I cannot recommend this place enough!

I hardly ever give a ten, but this hotel is really nice. The room is perfectly clean and cosy, the breakfast delicious and the staff very nice! The location is close to all important tourist attractions, but also great for jogging and getting to other places. No outside noise at all (just some cats and the muezzin).

The area is really touristy, but safe. As mentioned before, you do hear the neighbors very well in the room. However, the people staying there were mostly quiet at bedtimes, so that wasn’t a big problem.

Everything about this stay was absolutely perfect! The location in the heart of Sultanahmet (the Old Town) was exceptional, very central for sightseeing, yet surprisingly quiet and peaceful. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was excellent: it was very large, comfortable, and everything worked flawlessly. To top it all off, the breakfast was outstanding. Having unlimited, great quality coffee and fresh orange juice included was a massive highlight for us. A true 10 out of 10 experience!

There was absolutely nothing to dislike. Everything exceeded our expectations!
