Reviewed Jul 11, 2026Gorgeous location, very peaceful and quiet. Snow on mountains and frosty blue sky mornings. Loved the short walk to the lake shore and watching all the little piwakawaka flitting around. Suited our 6 adult family group with 3 double beds and 1.5 bathrooms. Easy drive into town and to Owen Delany park for the Possum night half marathon that some of our group entered. Would definitely stay again.

Reviewed Jan 24, 2026It felt like being at home. Comfortable beds, thick towels, a nice deck, and a comfortable living room for hanging out. Not only did the kitchen have all the basics, it also had lovely pottery and other touches that made it feel homey and not like the owners had hit up some discount store for the cheapest things.

The couches need a deep cleaning as there are hairs here and there. If the host upgrade with leather couches, that would absolutely add the accommodation’s taste and value. The bedding especially the pillows need to be changed. Re locking and unlocking the door, a clear instruction is appreciated.

Could have done wth more mirrors. Was hard with so many people in the house to only have one in the bathroom. Maybe some could be put in the bedrooms?

The back (side) door wasnt locked - and couldnt be locked without a key. This would concern some guests so should be fixed.

Reviewed Jul 6, 2025The house was lovely, furnishings, linen and kitchen resources were superb. Heating tops, views just stunning. Communication and ease of entry, appreciate the late checkout. Loved the comprehensive guest folder, two toilets and clean dishwasher.
The front door had a slight catch, and sounds rough when shutting. Vacuum needs servicing, poor suction currently.

Reviewed Oct 21, 2024The perfect holiday home to stay. We had such a wonderful time. The house was spotlessly clean, well-equipped kitchen that had everything you need. The beds were very comfortable, the living area was sunny, warm and inviting, the deck was a great size to sit and relax. The view was absolutely stunning, and at night it was magical looking over the lake with all the lights. A perfect location as it was so quiet and peaceful, with only the sound of the birds and only a few minutes from Taupo main township area. I would most definitely recommend this as a perfect holiday home and look forward to coming back.

The rubbish. There were meant to be bags or tags for us to dispose of our rubbish, was annoying having to take our trash home with us as we had no idea what to do with it. For guest who pay alot to stay I feel bins should be allocated.

Reviewed Jul 7, 2024Great location with beautiful views not far from the centre of town. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Oven/stovetop worked well which is not what I’ve found with most accommodation. Very spacious.
Bedrooms were cold. Could do with electric blankets or portable heaters in winter. Taking away our own rubbish was inconvenient.
