Walking down so many stairs to get to the unit from where you parked. Car was damaged with white stuff, not sure what it was dripping from the roof. Took special cleaning to get rid of the white marks

Toilet was leaking. The single bed could not be used for the duration of the holiday as it was very uncomfortable so one guest had to sleep in the lounge. The kitchen needs a general clean. The decor / pots etc on top of fridge need a good clean

Reviewed Dec 3, 2025The location is nothing less than superb. Magnificent close sea views and immediate and direct access to the beach. Our teenage kids were able to go to the beach without supervision or having to be driven. The apartment is clean, bright and well equipped with everything needed for a very comfortable stay, and is serviced daily by the friendly staff. Comfortable beds and crisp fresh linen. Checkers supermarket is within easy walking distance. Guests do need to be aware that the apartment is not accessed by a lift. Luggage has to be carried up and down two fairly short flights of stairs. However a staff member came to help with the luggage when we asked.
The one inconvenience was that the wifi covers only the living area and main bedroom. The internet signal is too weak in the second and third bedrooms to be of much use. This is only a problem if there is computer work to be done or if guests want to use devices in their own bedrooms. The problem could easily be overcome with a simple wifi extender that is apparently inexpensive and easily installed.

I did not like the fact that there was only 1 shower for 6 people to share this made it difficult for us to get ready. Also the fact that the property does not have an invertor during loadshedding.

Reviewed Sep 8, 2023Location is absolutely perfect, stunning sea view from the balcony. The house was very comfortable, cosy and beautifully set up and importantly, clean.
Only thing we didnt like was the constant beeping sound of the alarm throughout the day. And the fact that there is no back up at all for loadshedding, which i think is important for people who are on vacation, or if no back up, it would be great if there was 'atleast' a wifi backup. seating arrangement (bench table) outside wasn't great, would be nice if there were at least 2 loungers outside- otherwise everything else was great!

There was no kettle for the gas stove during time of heavy load shedding. The smeg microwave oven is very complicated to operate. During our time there, the plumbers came to do work outside our unit, which was very disturbing.
