Ring Stone Hotels Old City - Special Class

Loved the staff. They were very friendly and accommodated our every request and helped us prepare for our trip. They offered to upgrade our room and gave us two options, and when we said that we preferred the second one, but wanted single beds, they changed our beds so that we could take the room we liked most. We really appreciate that. They helped us with the transfer since our flight was delayed, and we didn't want to miss a cruise we had booked on the day of our arrival, and they dropped us off at the place we asked and took our luggage to the hotel and put it in our rooms. Our treatment was superb. We loved that! The space was beautiful and classy. Rooms were tidy and clean. Good location.

Just the fact that at the tour around the historic sights that was recommended to us, we felt a bit pushed to buy things, especially at a store that truly had very fine carpets, jewellery and art, and also at the bazaar.

Hamza and berke are great guys. Service is extraordinary.

Ring Stone Old City is in an absolutely perfect location in an historic and unique building. I've never stayed in a room quite like that one with its soaring ceilings and beautiful furniture. The staff are attentive and helpful and the breakfast offering is superb.

It was the beginning of autumn and the air conditioning had to run constantly to keep the room at an acceptable level (thanks to those soaring ceilings). It was fine for my stay with temperatures in the high 20s Celsius outside, but it might be a struggle in summer.

Located at the high point of the old city, on an elegant quiet street, the RingStone is half way between the Grand Bazaar and the Blue Mosque, the public ferry port and the Palace, at the crossroads of the metro lines and the tram lines. The hotel oozes an elegant aura of a bygone era, having previously been a bank and earlier a palace. The staff were helpful and friendly without overstepping or crowding. Breakfast provided a wide choice and coffee freshly brewed as you like. The views are magnificent!

I didn’t like that the time came to leave. Will definitely be back to visit the Hamam 2 doors down.

Самое главное достоинство - сам отель! Всё - от архитектуры до внутреннего убранства и все в хорошем состоянии. Интересные внутренние переходы между корпусами, виды на башенки и крыши соседнего хамама, +двери сами открываются вам навстречу - это каждый раз нас радовало :) Подушки, одеяла, постельное белье - всё отлично. Шторы блэк аут - для меня must have. В номере в жару всегда прохладно - там какой то шкафчик с отверстиями - дуйка с циркуляцией воздуха, и мы на него ставили все, что нужно охладить - арбуз, шампанское... очень удобно и эстетитично. Персонал очень приветливый, внимательный, заботливый! На ресепшене- щербет(сладкий чай из каркадэ) и печеньки. Меня поздравили с днем рождения тортиком со свечами - было очень мило и трогательно- спасибо за приятный сюрприз! :) Мы жили 5 дней, уборка каждый день, хотя пару раз нам не докладывали полотенца. Ну, и, конечно, локация - она идеальна - несколько минут пешком- и вы в парке Гульнахе, пересечете его - и вы на набережной, где можно провести вечер наблюдая за кораблями, вечерними огнями и гуляющими. Все рядом - и паром на азиатскую сторону, и мост в новый город, и все мечети, храмы, колоритные улочки - вся красота в шаговой доступности.

On the first night , someone from staff knocked and opened the doors immediately when we were sleeping. I weak up and asked what is he doing. He say sorry it is mistake , and couldn't provide any other information just saying" sorry mistake".

The Ring Stone is amazing: beautiful, regal, warming atmosphere managed and maintained by the most professional and friendly staff - ever ready to meet your needs. I can’t list enough superlatives to describe this property and staff. We are elderly Americans who retired and moved to Europe to enjoy its’ people, culture, art and food. Of all the exciting places that we have explored, Istanbul stands out as one of the best and the Ring Stone Old City hotel is by far the best value we have yet to discover. On arrival at the Ring Stone, the manager Mr. Gokhan upgraded our King room to one of the hotel’s best with a spacious balcony. The high ceilings, crystal candeliers and ornate furniture throughout exceed the images shown on Ring Stone’s website. The breakfast buffet’s variety, quality and presentation was outstanding. At one time the hotel was a bank. Thick, heavy vault doors greet you as you enter the cosy breakfast area. The hotel is located in Sultanahmet (historic old town core) with numerous and varied restuarants, cafes and shops setps away. We easily walked from the Ring Stone to Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Bascilica Cistern, Hippodrome area, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar and Spice market. Everything about the Ring Stone Old City and Istanbul far exceeded our expectations. Many, many thanks Mr. Gokhan for the wonderful service and experience!

The fact that we only booked for four days and could not stay longer.

Das Hotel ist sauber, solide, gut gelegen, aber irgendwie auch komisch. Das Haus, die Architektur und die Einrichtung deutet auf eine interessante Vergangenheit hin. Z. B. sind die Zimmer sehr groß mit 4 m hohen Decken und einer historisch wirkenden Einrichtung; im Keller sind alte Safetüren, hinter denen sich der Frühstücksraum verbirgt. Was hat es damit auf sich? Ich hätte gerne mehr über das Haus erfahren, aber die Geschichte ist irgendwie nicht teil des Konzepts. Es ist aber für alles gesorgt; die Zimmer waren sauber und gepflegt, man ist in 5 Minuten zu Fuß an der Hagia Sophia, es war (zumindest in dem Haupt-Schlafzimmer) sehr ruhig und wir konnten gut schlafen. Das Frühstück war ok, im Grunde fehlte es da an nichts. Die Mitarbeiter waren alle durchweg freundlich und hilfsbereit.

- auf den Fluren wird ab 7 Uhr morgens relativ laut klassische Musik abgespielt - das Treppenhaus wird gerade renoviert, bzw. besteht zu, teil aus unverputzten Gips-Platten - keine Bar, kein Gym, kein Pool (dadurch wird das Hotel etwas "unbelebt", man kommt halt nur zum Schlafen her)

家族4人で、ファミリールームに宿泊。総合的に、価格対比で大変満足できる宿でした。 ①ロケーションが良いです。スルタンアフメット地区にあり、アヤソフィアまでは徒歩5分程度です。周囲はレストラン、スーパーが多く、目の前の道路は一方通行ですがちゃんと車が通れるため、空港から送迎車で直行できました。 ②部屋の雰囲気が最高です。古い銀行を改装したと、どこかに書いてあるのを見ましたが、その触れ込みに相応しく高い天井、大きな窓、窓の外からは遠く金角湾を望めます。インテリアもクラシックな雰囲気に統一されていて好印象でした。 ③ホテルのスタッフも適度に親切。高級ホテルのようなおもてなしはありませんが、シービューのレストランや、レートの良い両替所を教えてくれ、助かりました。

1点減点したのは、レセプションのあるロビーが簡素な点です。このホテルにはカフェやラウンジといった機能はないため、チェックイン後に少しゆっくりできるようなスペースは限られます。それでも、ロビーに簡単なソファが置かれており、最低限の身支度は可能です。

Set up with an old retro vibe in a previous bank building - the hotel's main positives are location, big rooms on average, reasonably clean and a decent (relatively) spread of breakfast.

What can improve is : house keeping needs training ; some staff like Gorkhe and hamza were helpful but rest seemed cold and usually not helpful. Rooms have teething issues (Aircon , hairdryer , sewage smell etc.) some were fixed when highlighted.

### What I liked The location was fantastic, just a short walk from key sights including Hagia Sophia, the Basilica Cistern and the Blue Mosque, as well as the T1 tram stop, which provided easy access to other parts of the city. Housed in a former bank, the building has beautiful Ottoman-inspired architecture and spectacular chandeliers, giving the hotel a real sense of character. The breakfast was very good, with a cold buffet, as well as a selection of hot dishes, and eggs could be ordered as well. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and gave us an excellent restaurant recommendation (The Seafood Lounge). We had the luxury of five nights in amazing Istanbul and made the most of the hotel’s excellent location. We visited Hagia Sophia (although it was undergoing significant renovation, so access to the interior was limited), the Blue Mosque, which was wonderful both during the day and illuminated at night, and the absolutely amazing Basilica Cistern. We also visited the Süleymaniye Mosque, explored the Spice Bazaar and the colourful neighbourhood of Balat, took the ferry across to Kadıköy, walked along İstiklal Avenue and around Karaköy, and enjoyed the views from the Galata Tower. It was a wonderful introduction to Istanbul, with plenty of time to explore both the major sights and some of the city’s neighbourhoods.

The photographs on the hotel’s website were somewhat misleading, as they tended to show the larger suites rather than the standard double rooms. Our standard double had a Queen bed, which left very little space to move around. The hotel also listed and showed a terrace as a facility, but this was only available to guests who booked a particular room. There was no lounge area, other than some seating in the reception area. Overall, the hotel suited my husband and me for our five-day stay, but I think the photographs and facilities listed on the website could be more clearly labelled so that guests have a more accurate idea of what to expect when booking a standard double room.

La camera assegnata era piccola con bagno maleodorante di fogna. La camera è stata cambiata, poi però alcune richieste fatte non sono state prontamente eseguite (bagagli lasciati nella hall tutto il giorno nonostante ci avessero detto che li avrebbero portati nella nuova camera, ferro da stiro non disponibile subito). Tre pos non funzionanti alle 2:30 del mattino per il saldo, ho dovuto provvedere con il cash (che fortunatamente avevo).

The location and staff were terrific, Gokham was especially helpful with insights into places to go and to eat . He was very welcoming.The room was spacious with soaring ceilings ! The hotel was a converted bank.

Some of the furniture in the room was oversized and bordering on too ornate! Room service staff had nowhere to store their buggies and they would were left outside rooms 24/7, not a good look for a high end hotel.

Een fantastisch verblijf gehad bij Ringstone Old City! Het hotel heeft een geweldige ligging in de oude stad, waardoor veel bezienswaardigheden gemakkelijk te bereiken zijn. De kamers waren netjes, comfortabel en schoon, en het personeel was ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De sfeer in het hotel is gezellig en gastvrij. Alles was goed verzorgd en we voelden ons meteen welkom. Zeker een aanrader voor iedereen die Istanbul wil ontdekken en graag op een mooie, centrale locatie verblijft. Wij komen hier zeker nog eens terug! ❤️

Everything was perfect! The hotel is absolutely beautiful, set in a stunning former bank building that has been tastefully transformed into a hotel. The location is ideal, right in the heart of Sultanahmet and within walking distance of all the main historical attractions. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. A special thank you to Hamza, who was exceptionally helpful with our luggage and made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived.

Η τοποθεσία είναι εξαιρετική, ειδικά για κάποιον που πηγαίνει 1η φορά στη Πόλη! Το ξενοδοχείο είναι μέσα στη παλαιά πόλη μόλις λίγα λεπτά απο την Αγία Σοφία, το Μπλέ Τζαμί και το ΤΟΠ ΚΑΠΙ. Επίσης πολύ κοντά και 2 στάσεις του τραμ το οποίο είναι πολύ βολικό για τις μετακινήσεις. Επίσης η Τατιάνα η ελληνίδα manager του ξενοδοχείου είναι πολύ εξυπηρετική και την ευχαριστούμε για όλα!

Η καθαριότητα του δωματίου έγινε μετά το 2ο βράδυ της διαμονής μας. Θα περίμενα καθημερινή καθαριότητα του δωματίου. Επίσης χρειάζεται μεγαλύτερη ποικιλία στο πρωινό.

Понравилась локация и фото на букинге . Приехав в отель , нам дали номер до которого не удобно добираться и вид был в стену другого здания .

Бронировали номер на 4 ночи . В первый день по приезду в тумбочке были обнаружены пустые бутылки , в номере убирали каждый день , но бутылки наверно до сих пор там лежат после нашего отъезда из отеля . Очень сильный запах из туалетной комнаты . Сейф в номере был закрыт . Нас было три человека и одно маленькое полотенце на всех . Нет лопатки для обуви . Наволочка была не свежая
