Beautiful place to stay. Great location right next to beach and local restaurants.

Andrea and Graham are lovely and very welcoming! Their home is gorgeous. Great bedroom, great bathroom. All the little touches are lovely. Their cats are fantastic too and love a cuddle. The bed is incredibly comfortable and I didn't want to get out of it.

Comfortable, cosy, friendly - a bit like rocking up to your favourite cousin's place. Introduced to the cats, and assured we didn't have to be friends, but why wouldn't you? Quiet, comfortable, exactly as advertised and lovely hosts.

Our fault, we should have turned the heater off when we went to bed, it got a wee bit stuffy for two farmers, but as I said - our fault. Not one other issue

Cats were great, peace and quiet , made to feel welcome , walking distance to beach and cafes.

The bed was so comfortable. Miss it already. The cats, omg. Snuggles from “crumpet” gave us so much joy. The details in the room were thoughtful. We enjoyed the complimentary beverages and the bathroom was very chic and clean. Location was fabulous. Would totally stay here again in the future! Andrea is very hospitable and kind.

Well appointed room and amenities close to St Clair Beach

It was an awesome place to crash over a couple of nights in Dunedin. We loved the cats!

Andrea and Graham make you feel very welcome. There are some very nice touches (chocolates, specialty teas, hot chocolate and marshmallows). The bed is very comfortable and plush. It’s a short walk to the bars and restaurants of St Clair, Dunedin.

The hosts could not have been more friendly and accomodating. The house is immaculate and the location, within minutes of a beautiful beach, was superb. The access is good and parking easy to find. The local beach front (St Clair) is magnificent and has an excellent range of eating establishments catering for almost every taste.

The accomodation is simply a room is a house, with shared bathroom. Although this did not cause any problems it must be borne in mind. This is a minor quibble however.

Lots of attention to detail and beautifully appointed. The room was roomy with ample space to sit and relax. Everything you could want, including a small fridge and complementary bottles of water as well as the usual tea/coffee.

So welcoming and warm! Stayed during winter and was great! Had a lazy morning where the cats demanded to come in and have a cuddle with us. Very easy location with bus stop les than 5 mins and good cafes walking distance too. Will definitely recommend and will stay again if in area.

Chez Andrea et Graham tout est raffiné et décoré avec beaucoup de goût. Leur maison est tout aussi accueillante qu’eux. Lorsque l’on arrive Andrea et Graham nous attendent avec un grand sourire. Nous faisons ensemble le tour du propriétaire. La salle de bain est très pratique, avec une cabine de douche assez grande et un sol chauffant (ce qui est très agréable en hiver). On termine par la chambre qui est une petite bonbonnière. Tout est prévu par nos hôtes. Une literie si confortable qu’on dirait un marshmallow. Le matelas est de très bonne qualité : ni trop ferme ni trop mou. Les draps, oreillers et couettes sont doux. Il y a à disposition un frigo avec de l’eau et du lait (option végétale proposée), de quoi pouvoir se faire un café, thé ou chocolat. Andrea dispose aussi quelques fruits et du chocolat. Un chauffage d’appoint est installé pour l’hiver (suffisant pour chauffer la pièce). Les rideaux sont suffisamment occultants pour ne pas laisser passer la lumière. Il y a un portant avec cintre. Leur maison est d’une grande propreté. L’accès est facile. L’échange avec Andréa et Graham avant d’arriver est très agréable et leur réponse est rapide. Une fois sur place ils sont très avenants et restent disponibles si on a des questions ou besoin de quelque chose. Malgré le fait de séjourner dans leur maison, ils font attention à ne pas déranger et sont très discrets. Ce sont des hôtes soucieux que notre séjour se passe bien. Leur maison est très bien située. À quelques minutes à pied de la plage St Clair, où se trouve de quoi se restaurer. Elle est à proximité du terminal du Bus 8 qui nous emmène directement en centre ville et à Baldwin Street. Il y a de la place pour se garer dans la rue. Pour finir je recommande leur hébergement. Les lieux sont exactement comme sur les photos. Si je devais revenir à Dunedin je repasserais chez eux sans aucunes hésitations.

Il n’y a rien que je n’ai pas aimé. Je m’interroge juste sur le possible manque de place si on a deux grosses valises. Ceci dit, si ça devait être le cas, je pense que ce serait à discuter avec André et Graham avant d’arriver. Et suis certaine qu’ils trouveraient une solution à proposer.

Loved everything about it. As the name suggests it was a cozy stay . Lovely host . We enjoyed it very much.

It really was cosy, our host Andrea made us feel very welcome and helped out with local information. I needed to make a small repair of some clothing and she found me a sewing set to use.

Incredibly comfortable bed in a beautiful room and gorgeous historic home. Andrea was so kind and welcoming- the location so close to the beaches and great restaurants was fantastic, we would have loved to stay much longer.

Was just like staying in a cosey little B&B, lots of little things I was not expecting for the price I paid! Perfect for a solo traveler needing a quiet spot to refresh for the next day.

Very friendly and welcoming , went to a lot of trouble to help me with my wet clothes when I fell in the sea . Loved the cat company ! Made to feel at home .

Beautiful property and a lovely welcome from Andrea! Some great personal touches and an extremely comfortable stay with amazing hosts. Best place to stay in Dunedin and walking distance to the beach/eateries. We loved Huey and crumpet too!

Andrea and Graham had thought of everything to make the stay as comfortable as possible. They were very warm and welcoming, and so were the cats!

Fantastic hosts - Graham and Andrea are very friendly, very accommodating, full of good conversation, giving of their time and local knowledge, excellent with pre-stay communication. I really enjoyed my time with them. Lovely set up, such a comfy bed, so close to the beach, quiet, lots of thoughtful little extras, extremely clean.

I didn’t like only getting to stay for one night! Will revisit if I get the chance.

We had a lovely stay at Once upon a cosy Nook! A perfect location and the room is absolutely beautiful with a super comfy bed! the homemade cookies were amazing! Graham and Andrea were so lovely and so so helpful. We also love the cat cuddles and company 😊

It was very nice to get a friendly welcome from Andrea, Graeme and the pussy cats. The room was comfortable and tastefully decorated, so a pleasure to be in. A walk to the beach front and around the local neighbourhood was very enjoyable. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was quiet.

the husband and wife were so kind and helpful. Andrea was super patient helping us checking in and getting to know the house and the facilities. Very interesting couple where they do all the home decor themselves. Beautiful! Although kitchen wasn’t included in the listing, they were kind enough to allow us to do some simple cooking (boiling food only, no oily, no frying) and be there to see if we need help in the kitchen. We had chats during dinner, where they shared their wine with us. They are very genuine people. Don’t forget to try the home baked cookies they prepped, super good☺️ milk and lemon water was also prepped and chilled in fridge. Although the toilet was a shared one (they use it as well.) it was super clean. oh and the two little cats, Crumpet and Huey 🥹 as cat lovers, we enjoyed so so so so so much playing with them, petting them, having them on bed with us. 😍 If you’re staying in Dunedin, do not hesitate to stay with them. You will have a wonderful trip.

Andrea is a great host, friendly and accomodating. Cosy Nook is super styly, warm and in a great location.

It's near St. Clair Beach where you get to have a lot of choices as to where to dine from. I like the vibe as well of the room, as it has a vintage vibe. 🫶 Of course, me and my partner love the hosts, Andrea and Graham and the 2 cute cats, Huey and Crumpet. They are very accommodating and provided us the “must haves” in the room. We had fun even for a short while. Will be back for sure.
