Reviewed May 31, 2026Very pretty rooms, tidy and clean. Kitchen was full equipped Good price but in the place is middle of nowhere. A private bathroom for every room.
It's hard to get there, no sign that there is a B&B. You need a car to get anywhere, it's even far to village. Check in&out hours could be different.

Reviewed May 26, 2026We really love that place, the place is very calm and quiet. Very good to come down and relax. The couple who hosted us was so kind. For example they brought us to bus station and train station. We definitely will come back.
The house is located in the heart of Ireland, without a car it can be a bit tricky to get there.

Reviewed Oct 5, 2025Host were very welcoming and the eating area (with microwave, kettle and fridge) was great for breakfast and perfectly adequate for evening (microwavable) meals. Well located for exploring in different directions. A great base for visiting Ireland.
The drive up to the house is a little challenging but honestly not a problem.

Reviewed Oct 3, 2025It was the cleanest B and B I've ever stayed in. As an allergy sufferer there were no overpowering scents and it was spotlessly dusted and fresh. A beautiful en suite. Access to a fridge, microwave, kettle, tea coffee etc . Also access to a sitting room..Also a breakfast room with cereals, home made scones, bread etc. The location was central to all the main attractions of the beautiful hilly and Lakeland Tipperary. A very kind welcome from our lovely hosts. I cannot recommend this accommodation enough. We will be back!

No shampoo in the shower. Everything else was great though.

I then received an email to say that the booking was cancelled due to a leak in the bathroom. Don't believe it for a second. The female called to make sure I knew it was cancelled. I said is it because it's so late for check in. She didn't have an answer. Why put rooms on if your not willing to take booking at allocated times. Disgrace and shouldn't be on booking. Com

Reviewed Jun 23, 2025Charming hosts and an idyllic, pastoral setting. Joe and Maureen have an easy graceful style and make you feel right at home, without intruding on your independence or privacy. The house is spotlessly clean and comfortable, with a lounge and breakfast room; Joe made a coffee for me himself on arrival. I stayed here another night on my return journey. There are nice pubs within reasonable distance; the Irish hospitality is wonderful.
It is not a dislike, but be ready for a hilly approach driveway.

Reviewed May 16, 2025Super-quiet place, extended checking hours, very helpful staff, and nice ample room with a tidy charming bathroom, very modern shower. Very unexpected to find everything so nice. Incredible value if you don´t need a village around. If you are looking for a quiet place away from the noise, this is truly great, and if you are passing by (I was heading the Wild Atlantic from the ferry), is unbeatable. I cannot recommend enough.
That there were no more place like this one on my trip.

There were delicious cookies available to us when we arrived to have with our cup of tea and an e extensive continental breakfast. Great beds. Best value for money on our two week cycling trip through west central Ireland, by far.
Although they provided us with eir code for the location, a sign at the base of the driveway would be nice.

The hillside haven is called hillside top - in case people get lost. I couldn't find the light switch for the en suite bathroom that was across from the room down the hall. I also missed a 'goodbye'.

It is a bit in the middle of nowhere (which we love) but it is by far the best value for money and the funniest experience we have had during our stay in Ireland. Thank you very much for everything!

Nice view over fields (spent many a minute watching the cows in the far field being herded for milking - but not so close that we could hear them!). Our host lit the wood burner for us in the lounge which was lovely. We used the breakfast room for a picnic supper (as it was raining!). Very quiet rural area in the heartlands of Ireland - off the beaten track - great. Basic breakfast was provided. Nice cake given on arrival - thank you.
The house is up a steep stony track (driveable) and easy enough to find. The private bathroom was not en-suite but not far away.
