Hillside Haven

Eine sehr schöne, ruhige Unterkunft in toller Lage. Alles war sauber und gemütlich, und wir haben uns während unseres Aufenthalts sehr wohlgefühlt. Hatten auch ein Frühstück erhalten mit einer kleinen Süßigkeit. Ich fand den Aufenthalt richtig schön und würde wiederkommen.

Im Schlafzimmer und am Gang knarzt der Boden ziemlich – ich fand das eigentlich ganz charmant, aber für sehr geräuschempfindliche Gäste könnte es etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig sein.

Maureen is a great host as is her husband Joe. There a lovely couple. Joe was waiting for us when we arrived and there was a lovely welcome. Lovely bookcase with interesting books in the hallway. The mattress was very comfortable and the bathroom with shower was excellent. Good strong pressure from the two different types of shower heads and easy to use and hand soap and hand cream and plenty of toilet rolls and big comfy towels. Had a lovely breakfast it’s all there for you when you go in and you just make for yourself. It was a lovely, relaxing stay and it’s so peaceful and felt a lot better after my stay. Hosts are kind, their dog is super cuddly and friendly, the accommodation is in a very peaceful location, comfortable and clean.

Driveway is a steep and rough gravel road.

Maureen was so lovely. The property was in a beautiful setting. Felt rested and relaxed!

It was a simple breakfast, but very good for our needs. It was a wonderful location - very quiet and peaceful. The hosts were wonderful, and we enjoyed interacting with the other guests during our stay. One of the reasons we chose this location was because of its' central position to the major tourist attractions. It was very comfortable! The WiFi worked very well!

The driveway was a bit of a challenge.

Friendly and welcoming host peaceful and quiet. The house is very clean. Bed is very comfortable. Perfect stay for a reasonable price. There is nothing wrong, only compliments.

The bed was very squeaky. Every time I moved or my niece moved it woke me..other than that it was a lovely stay.

I would have liked another towel but wasn't sure if it was OK to ask, only 1 in my bathroom for 6 days

Lovely host, very accommodating and has set up a wonderful room in a beautiful home. wonderful service and amenities. Adventurous location it's a fun drive to get to with beautiful countryside. .

It was pretty clean and well equipped. Good that we got the eir code which made the arrival easy.

I could not find the wifi password. We arrived late so I did not want to disturb the host to ask for it. Maybe it’s a good idea to have it in the room? I also had no idea where the kitchen was, it would be great if it was written on the door or in the message we received. I was not expecting the bathroom in a separate room, that was a bit inconvenient. We had no foot rug or hand towel in the bathroom. There was also no hair dryer in the room or bathroom. We took shower in the morning, after one of us showered, there was no hot water for the other, as I think other guests were using water at the same time. Maybe good to mention to guests to be mindful of water consumption if water tank is smaller.

Brilliant place to stay everything spot on and very welcoming host's, couldn't ask for anything more. Definitely recommend.

Absolutely zero.

Nice to freely move around from dining room and living room, bedroom nice size and lovely view from window, shower was nice and big. We were able to cook our own food we brought with us. And Maureen baked us the best scones each day.

Maybe extra pillows, and a sign on the gate as we missed it on several occasions coming in. Other than that nothing to dislike

Great reception when we arrived, Jo hosted, very welcoming. Very clean & fresh. Continental breakfast was adequate, could do with orange juice? Would definitely go back. Jo very kindly took us to local pub & collected us later, a true gentleman.

Location was set in the country side on a hill. Beautiful views.

Everything...we were there for a cycle race so was good value... Brought breakfast stuff but we already provided with oats, breadand coffee... a microwave, fridge and kettle was available so got our eggs in 😊... Super warm and clean... Very private.. Own separate kitchen and living room to host.

A little bit remote for evening meal, had to travel as no kitchen.

The room was very comfortable with a nice ensuite.

Unfortunately, I booked this accommodatiin very far from where I was commuting to each day so, it would have been less stressful for me in terms of getting to my destination in Roscrea had I not bern so far away. This is thevresdon why I said that I wouldn't stay there again. I found it very difficult to find (however, the hostess very kindly came to meet me in the nearby village and I was able to follow her in her car. The road leading up to the house is quite rough and not really suited to a car close to thr ground. I found it necessary to barely crawl driving to the house.

Spotless, comfortable, lovely hosts, amazing value for money, great bed, fabulous sitting room with TV, coffee on arrival! And breakfast.

Bit out of the way, take dinner with you, there is a microwave.

It was warm and cosy. Very clean. Comfortable bed and very peaceful . Suitable for overnight bags not suitcases. In wall charges which was brilliant. Lots of little treats to make us feel welcome . Doreen and David were wonderful hosts. Would definitely recommend hillside haven.

Nothing, everything great

I loved everything the owner was very pleasant house was spotless and quiet. Could help yourself to a breakfast free of charge continental which I didn’t expect at that price. Don’t hesitate to stay here it’s great value for me spotless friendly and quiet I’ll be back Angela from Bantry

We immediately felt welcome. Madame has taken great care of us, the house was tastefully decorated, clean and cozy. The bathroom was very modern. The beds were comfy, the area very calm. Ask for the host's home made banana bread!

So despite it being 25 minutes from the city centre that fell by the wayside by the comfort cleanliness & friendly staff & value for money
