Birdhill Farmhouse

I loved that we were on a working farm! All the animals were a plus! Love, loved, loved Fred!!! We even picked fresh blackberries!!

There was NOTHING not to like!

This had to be the most perfect accommodations, nestled in a working farm, with cows, goats, sheep and chickens with a menagerie of amazing dogs. Hosts could not have been more welcoming.

The home is so cozy and had lots of space for our family of 5. We only stayed 1 night, but everyone wished we stayed longer! We loved that it’s on a working farm. My girls loved all the animals! Mike and Sue are such wonderful hosts! We really enjoyed our time here and would love to stay again sometime.

Exceptional setting with an extremely well maintained comfortable home. All the small comforts that would be expected of a home stay was present. Tea and coffee supplies as well as some fresh farm milk in the fridge. Beautiful scenery. Host was very responsive and helpful. Really wished we could have stayed a few more nights.

Nous avons apprécié d’avoir une maison complète pour notre famille (6 personnes) avec 4 chambres et tout le confort. La présence des animaux (veaux, mouton, poules, …) était un plus bien sympathique.

Le logement est bien excentré et éloigné de Limerick. Pas vraiment possible de ressortir pour faire un tour en raison des temps de route. Certaines personnes peuvent également être dérangées par les bruits de la ferme.

Le logement est parfaitement équipé, idéal pour y séjourner plusieurs jours. Nous n'y sommes passés qu'une nuit mais nous avons adoré. très grand logement, propreté impeccable. Nos hôtes nous ont même offert des oeufs et du lait... vraiment plein de gentillesse Nous avons été accueilli pour les petits et gros chiens tout mignon!!!

Beautiful, spotlessly clean house, with all we could need. The free range eggs & fresh milk were a very welcome surprise. Did not meet the hosts personally but Sue was very helpful & answered all my queries. Highly recommend.

It was lovely to arrive to find fresh eggs in the fridge, such a thoughtful touch and very much appreciated. The location was easy to find.

The house couldn't have been better. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Can't say enough good things about our stay at Birdhill Farmhouse. Check in was a breeze and communication was fantastic from Sue beforehand. We were greeted by her husband and the many farm animals to the rear of the property. (Fred the St Bernard stole the show!) The house was very spacious, spotlessly clean and overall, a very relaxing and comfortable place to stay. It was my friends birthday and I forgot to bring matches for the cake candles. Fear not, after a text to Sue, she had some dropped to the door! Would absolutely recommend Birdhill Farmhouse to anyone thinking about staying near Birdhill / killlaoe. Location is super convenient. :)

We were of family of 3 couples and 2 little kids. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We got fresh eggs and milk and the kids loved all the farm animals and loved watching the cows being milked. It was really amazing 👏. Comfortable and excellently equipped. Sue and Mike are so lovely and chatty. We will definitely be back.

La ubicación excelente si vas a visitar Limerick y alrededores como los acantilados de Moher. La casa esta en una granja, por lo que es algo peculiar pero la experiencia es estupenda. Los dueños son maravillosos, en la nevera nos habían dejado huevos, leche y mantequilla. Todo estaba estupendo y aunque hacía bastante frio ese dia cuando llegamos la calefacción estaba encendida y además nos habían preparado mantitad de sofa por si las necesitábamos. Mis hijas estaban felices porque en el comedor había muchos juegos de mesa. Desde luego que si volvemos por la zona, nos alejaremos en la casa.

We were made to feel completely at home, including fresh flowers in the kitchen. The home was comfortable, well appointed, and provided stunning views in all directions. Sue and Mike were wonderful hosts, providing tips on where to eat and local directions. We would have loved to have more time there!

There was nothing that could have been better!

The place was amazing and felt like home in NZ. Loved that there was fresh milk and eggs. The dogs and goats were a bonus. Very clean dn relaxing after s long day traveling.

We had a great stay at Birdhill Farmhouse. It is a very cosy well equipped home. Sue had milk, eggs and water in the fridge on arrival. I would highly recommend a stay at Birdhill Farmhouse.

The hosts were amazing .. and their dogs were equally as amazing .. look out for FRED ❤️

The farmhouse is charming and well-maintained, surrounded by beautiful, peaceful countryside. Our room was spotless and the bed incredibly comfortable. We truly appreciated the tranquility of the location, making it the perfect spot to unwind and relax. We highly recommend Birdhill Farmhouse for anyone looking for a serene escape in a lovely setting!.

Belle maison spacieuse, bien équipée, à la campagne au sein d'une ferme en activité: vaches, veaux, poules... Très bon accueil. Maison très agréable pour se reposer en famille.

This place is a absolutely beautiful. Very cool to be on the farm and the inside of the home is so nice and comfortable. Wish we could've stayed here longer!

This property is fabulous. It’s spacious, modern, bright and spotless. Kitchen is big and has everything you could possibly need (even an air fryer). Sitting room has comfortable seating and a huge TV. Almost all bedrooms have TVs. There are two en-suites and a separate shower room. We were a party of 3, just over-nighting for a wedding. The owner, Sue, who lives nearby, is a genuine, friendly person. And most obliging. She readily agreed to an earlier check-in time and even drove us to our wedding venue and after our departure she drove several miles to give us some stuff we left behind – saving us an extra journey. You would need a car as the property is in a quiet place. It is mid-way between Nenagh and Limerick City (half-hour drive). But Killaloe is only 5 miles away with lots of amenities. I can’t praise this property enough – just sorry we only had the one night there.

I stayed in Birdhill Farmhouse with a group of friends. The host was fantastic. She was so quick to respond and to look after us in any way she could. She had left fresh eggs, milk and treats for us, and a vase of flowers on the table. It felt like a home away from home. The house was immaculate and so comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

What a little gem of a house. Really well appointed, clean, spacious and great location. Fresh eggs from the farm and milk in the fridge on arrival. Will definitely be back. Absolutely ideal for a family. Didn't get to meet the host but Sue was really responsive to requests and extremely accommodating. Highly recommend a stay here.
