The rooms were warm and comfortable, with comfortable beds, plenty of hot water, and a well-equipped kitchen. We also loved the thoughtful touches like automatic corridor lights and a heated bathroom. Very clean, cosy and well maintained.
We booked this place hoping to enjoy the night sky, but unfortunately it was cloudy during our stay.

Reviewed Mar 2, 2026This was a lovely house in a great location to the rowing facilities. It slept 8 of us comfortably and had everything we needed for our stay. Host very good to deal with. Recommended.
The emails letting us know how to get into the house didn't arrive. However the host was very good at dealing with that when we contacted them. There was no dish cloth provided.

Super large lawn, large floor space, clean furniture, complete facilities, and most importantly, perfect galaxy and meteor, everything is perfect!

Reviewed Oct 5, 2025We were biking the Alps to Ocean on a very wet day the house had fantastic heating system , heat pump & diesel heater ( allow couple hour diesel to heat up ) The check in & out was easy , management most helpful in replying to couple queries , We would certainly recommend Though not well set up for bikers
Not well set up for bikers in our view ( we hope this comment is taken as a suggestion not criticism of property ) We did not realise the garage was excluded from the rental as marketing photos showed large garage . Which meant there was no where to store our e-bike & charge battery also getting out of wet gear had to be done outside Also an outside hose for cleaning bikes would be helpful

Reviewed Jun 6, 2025A very spacious house – absolutely huge and spotlessly clean! All the appliances and amenities were new and in great condition. The whole stay was fantastic! The garden was also really big. It was cloudy when we visited, but on a clear night the Milky Way must be absolutely stunning. I really hope to have the chance to stay here again!

Reviewed Apr 7, 2025Very generous space, large house with confortable open leaving space and dining/kitchen. Perfect for family or group of friends travelling together - 4 rooms fitted with queen size beds, 2 bathrooms and a toilet. The views from the dinning/leaving room are so relaxing!
An extra separate toilet would be handy, specially if travelling with 8 people. But everything else was absolutely perfect.

Comfortable bed and gorgeous bathrooms, beautiful views throughout with delightful patio access. Quite clever security door access, which we needed to ask for help with, but Nigel was on the phone and actually came out to help straight away. Thanks for your help! Great location for a holiday in Twizel or enroute south.

Reviewed May 14, 2024Very clean and the facilities are quite new. The heating system is a wall-mounted radiator, which was more than ample. The hosts were considerate enough to turn on the heating before we arrived, so the house was nice and warm as soon as we walked in. The beds were quite spacious, and the mattresses were rather firm, which was friendly for people needing back support.
The only discrepancy from our understanding was the number of toilets. There are 4 bedrooms, but only one master bedroom comes with a private bathroom and toilet. The other three bedrooms need to share one toilet and shower (the toilet and bathroom are separate). This was a bit inconvenient for four families with seven people group (three couples, and one single person), so please communicate in advance when making the booking.
