Everything! It’s such a beautiful place, and the plants around the hotel are unreal and so beautiful, staff were so nice and caring, we had the luxury hot tub suite and we were absolutely speechless!!

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like!!

Clean comfortable, friendly staff. Food was good.

The WiFi gave an issue with ordering drinks outside, and then having to prove we paid for them. But this was resolved.

I loved the spa facilities, the setup, the service and how helpful the staff were.. our time there was magical.. would definitely recommend a stay here

I spent a little extra and booked a room with a hotub on the balcony hoping to enjoy an intimate private dip with my partner.. that wasnt to be the case, the ambiance was ruined over an over by constant dog walkers an ramblers ogling which made us feel very uncomfortable.. i would not recommend this room type unless you want to pay a large amount to give a very public show

The staffs are super friendly and helpful, good with kids too, the renewed garden spa is amazing, definitely worth the money

A really lovely hotel in beautiful grounds with friendly and helpful staff. The outdoor pool was a beautiful facility.

The indoor pool was being re-furbished during our stay which we weren't aware of when we booked. Nevertheless we were able to take full advantage of the outdoor pool which was heated.

The room is beautiful, spacious and well-equipped. You can enjoy the spa with indoor and outdoor pools. There is a gym room too. The location is peaceful and quiet with free parking. The staff are. extremely helpful and friendly. It’s a good place for vacation.

Beautiful building with character and tasteful furnishings. Excellent spa. Lovely terrace for dining.

Service could be a little more attentive during breakfast as well as when sitting outside during late morning. Some tables not cleared of drinks for somewhile.

The whole experience was totally amazing, the staff were so enthusiastic and helpful to the n’th degree. The food was a gastric delight, just wonderful, the setting is serene, can’t wait to visit it again.

Only downside was the lack of air conditioning in our bedroom, which meant the room was uncomfortably warm in the heatwave.

Beautiful house and grounds

We were not allowed to use the gym or spa which is one of the reasons we picked it. Poor value for money, food and drink overpriced especially the food which was average, wouldn’t stay again

Location, room, hot tub, food all excellent

Pool area was a building site. Breakfast disturbed by drilling etc. Extremely expensive, but you get what you pay for I suppose. Room should have air con at £500 plus per night.

I was fortunate to have encountered the most empathetic and kind member of staff (Kerri the Manager) during my stay there. It is rare that one encounters a moment of difficulty (I had booked a week later than the day I attempted to check in) which in turn led to mild panic and all was resolved in a matter of minutes miraculously by Kerri! Many hotels would have shown a degree of sympathy but the response ultimately would have been a "no we cannot assist you". As a luxury establishment Bishopstrow Hotel and Spa's staff member (Kerri) demonstrated a level of empathy and problem solving that ranked above anything I have experienced and I have travelled the world in some of the best establishments. First Class and 10 star staff and customer service in the truest sense and a highly professional, amiable and compassionate team of hospitality leaders.

I didn't like that I had to leave! A one week stay would have been sufficient in these surroundings

The main building was beautiful, staff very lovely too.

I feel the room really let me stay down, it was no way worth the £425 I paid and nothing like the photos when I booked so I don’t enjoy my room at all.

Rooms were very warm and no fans supplied - could have asked but it got hot in the night and didn’t want to disturb staff

Due to renovations gym facilities are poor

The staff were excellent with the exception of the main receptionist. The food was very good.

They did a bait and switch with the rooms. On your site I booked a lovely junior suite in the manor When we arrived they tried to put us in an attic room which did not meet the description on your site. I requested a change to the room on your site. The lead receptionist spoke with her manager and returned saying we booked on Booking.com and the rooms were all taken. She put us in the stables in what she called a junior suite which was cramped and disappointing. I feel that I paid for a room I did not get and that she did that because I booked with you.

What not to like?

A warm welcome and nothing was too much for the staff.

Nothing, I had a very pleasant experience.

It was very nicely furnished and we had lovely comfortable beds. In the whole the staff were excellent with very good service. All the food was enjoyable and beautifully presented.

We chose the hotel because of the facilities on offer. We knew in advance that the out door pool etc was under renovation which was fine. The disappointment was in the morning when my pregnant daughter wanted to do some stretches in the gym to alleviate some aches she was experiencing to discover that it had been dismantled for relocation. We received no notification about this and when she asked about it she was offered a yoga mat to use outside when it was cold and damp. Hardly a suitable alternative suggestion. I think to have the gym unavailable whilst half the facilities are already out of action is unreasonable.

Outstanding Property, very well presented. Well staffed, lots of home comforts.

Moved sofa in room to make more space, found everything from dog biscuits to hair grips….looks clean on the exterior however needs a deeper clean. Moved fridge to access plug and lots of thick dust and grime.

Lovely hotel with everything you could need for a relaxing stay, great rooms and food and engaged relaxed and professional staff. We have been before and it always gets better, we will be back :-)

Set in a quiet and scenic place. The quaint structure of a Graded building converted into a a stunning and interesting Hotel. Fabulous Staff Kind,helpful and attentive. Quiet, comfy rooms and bed. Sensational bathroom and decor throughout. Free parking with plenty spaces. Stunning views of the grounds. Impressive facilities.

Actually it was all fine!!

Lovely old period property, which comes with all the bumps and wrinkles. Quiet location in large grounds. Decent restaurant and wine selection. Rooms are a good size and bed are comfortable.

Service can be hit and miss.

Prachtige rustige locatie. Goed ontbijt, vriendelijke mensen. Heerlijke kamer, upgrade zonder naar te vragen en uiteindelijk een week gebleven ipv 3 dagen.

De spa misschien vernieuwen.

We haven’t visited for a long time. Such a beautiful building and setting, peaceful and relaxing. We had forgotten how lovely Bishopstrow is! A real touch to be greeted by a bottle of bubbly on ice in our room, and card. Incredibly thoughtful and really made our time extra special. Being busy working parents we haven’t truly appreciated time together in a while and lovely to be able to spend time away at the hotel. Spa was bliss, meal in the restaurant in the evening was faultless and breakfast was delicious. Very happy to accommodate dietary restrictions, nothing was a hassle to the staff we encountered. Staff were so friendly and chatty. Polite, well mannered and lovely to see that staff enjoy their place of work. Definitely won’t leave it too long in returning (if the kids let us!).

The landscape a gardens the hotel is set in. The food at dinner. The way Brandon a head waiter sorted out the earlier problems caused by a poor bar service.

The lack Gluten free food options on the dinner menu.ie No Starter options and only 1out of 4 on the Main options . The difficulties in controlling the room temperature .(Only by adjusting the radiator settings) The 45minute wait for the hot breakfast to be served.

Beautiful hotel in a superb location. The spa is good. The staff are all very welcoming and helpful. The food and service in the restaurant is excellent.

The lighting in the bathroom (Room 1) was poor and it was extremely difficult to apply my makeup

A little disjointed

Excellent restaurant - good dinner & breakfast service. Lounges are comfortable. Spa facilities good . Roomy room was very spacious - loved the window seats

Staff and service were excellent- friendly and helpful. We ate in the restaurant and food was great though I think charging for an extra piece of sour dough was a bit tight! Breakfast platter was a nice touch and the cooked breakfast was tasty.

Could do with a larger car park. We had to hang around in car park for a while to wait for a space.

Lovely grounds

The room was great for facilities but the ceiling was quite noisy when the family above were moving in the evening and the morning. It is an old building with lots of character so we understood this. The spa and other facilities were great. The food was excellent and we loved the atmosphere, the prices were sensible and we felt it was a great place to stay.

Excellent setting with grounds to walk around, the hotel and adjoining buildings are tasteful in decor and interesting to view. Staff are friendly and very helpful, dining restaurant and food is excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Spa area is fab with heated indoor pool, jacuzzi and spa thermal and treatment rooms.

The location was excellent . Stourhead , Longleat, Stonehenge, and many interesting towns within 30 minutes drive. The room was comfortable .Spa on site. Some rooms have hot tubs. Well kept grounds. Restaurant was excellent.

Excellent size bedroom, delicious dinner and attentive/friendly staff. Also stunning location. Special mention to Spa Manager (I believe called Laura) who was very accommodating and went extra mile with pedicure/times.

the room was spectacular, the service was incredible they took incredible care of us as the restaurant to look after our dietary requirements and the facilities were terrific. Absolutely loved the spa and steam room!!!!

The rooms were beautiful but stuffy and hot. The restaurant was ok but not excellent. Eg- service was slow, and steak was very mediocre at best.
