Wat een heerlijk verblijf, midden in de mooie natuur. Ook de host was ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam en hielp ons met tips in de omgeving. We zouden deze plek ten zeerste aanraden!

The owners were very forthcoming and helpful. Even gave us some local herbs for our stomach ache. The balcony view was very nice and the breakfast very much worth it. We were lucky to visit the local food festival by recommendation from the owners as well.

Would probably have chosen the deluxe room, but apart from that nothing to comment.

Lloc senzill i acollidor. Està a prop de l'estació de tren d'Haputale i és un hotel ideal si fas el Pekoe trail. Hi ha molt bones vistes des de la terrassa on s'esmorza. En el nostre cas, el bany va estar fora de l'habitació, però era només per a nosaltres. El te de benvinguda i l'esmorzar eren molt bons (també hi ha l'opció de sopar-hi).

Tout était très bien. Les hôtes sont super gentils et vraiment arrangeants. J ai été malade et le propriétaire m a conduite chez le médecin. Nous avons mangé tous les soirs et les repas étaient vraiment excellents. Je recommande à 200 /

Everything was amazing. The family was super nice, really helpful and always available. They even made breakfast available to take away at 5am for our hike. In addition, the room was great, amazing view, lot of space, big bed etc… Recommend it at 100% without hesitation !

What a fabulous stay I had at this lovely accomodation. Such wonderful hosts. My room was spacious, clean, beautiful view with a gorgeous balcony. Large bathroom, comfortable bed, lighting was perfect and as for the delicious meals.....wow. Thank you so much for your great hospitality.

The family that runs it are super nice and helpful. They serve an absolutely amazing breakfast on the balcony with the views! We originally just booked one night but ended up extending for two more! They also offer a lot of different activities you can do in the area! Best place we stayed at in all of Sri Lanka!!

Sehr, sehr nette Gastgeber, wir wurden vom Host im eigenen Tuktuk vom Bahnhof abgeholt und am nächsten Tag hat er mit uns eine Tour zu Lipton's Seat und den Diyaluma Falls gemacht. Großes Zimmer, Aussicht vom Balkon und durchs Zimmerfenster auf die Berge einfach traumhaft.

Mehr Ablagefläche im Bad wäre schön gewesen, aber das ist Jammern auf hohem Niveau bei dem sehr günstigen Preis der Unterkunft

I booked this hotel only one and a half hours before arrival, and I was very satisfied with my stay. The room was very comfortable, clean, and well maintained. The hotel is located in a very nice and convenient location. The hotel management was very friendly, helpful, and professional throughout my stay. I really appreciated their excellent service and hospitality. The breakfast was also very good. Overall, this hotel offers great value for money, and I would highly recommend it to others.

Je ne peux que conseiller the bawa guest inn. Le logement était confortable avec une vue incroyable du balcon et de la chambre. Le petit déjeuner était très bon et vous pouvez manger aussi le soir, sur demande. Les repas sont excellents. Après une bonne journée de marche il n'y avait rien de mieux. Très bien placé dans Haputale car à 10min du centre (grâce à un petit passage ). Si besoin il y a un market juste en haut, au niveau de la route. La famille est adorable et plein de bons conseils pour votre séjour 👍👍

Lovely family, great location, delicious food

The family who run the guest house are very kind, welcoming and excellent cooks. The Man took us on a great trip up to Lipton's seat and the tea factory. The views are superb.

Bit hard to walk into town.

Prachtig uitzicht en de eigenaren waren super vriendelijk. Wij hebben een uitstekend verblijf gehad! Ze denken goed mee met activiteiten. Fahad had tijd en kon ons daarom de mooie plekken laten zien met zijn tuktuk.

We loved our stay at the Bawa Inn. We felt very welcomed from the first moment we arrived till we left. Our room was very spacious, comfortable and beautiful. We loved sitting out on the balcony for breakfast and also sitting there seeing the changing sky and landscape as the clouds rolled in and out. We ate breakfast and dinner at the Bawa Inn each day and the food was delicious and very generous. Our hosts were very gracious and helpful. This was one of our very favourite places to stay in Sri Lanka and we found it hard to leave.

Onwijs lieve en warme mensen. Wij kwamen doorweekt terug van de pekoe trail en kregen direct een lekker theetje, droge slippers en werden ook nog eens voor take away weggebracht bij een heerlijke lokale tent om relaxed op onze kamer wat te kunnen eten na de lange dag. Ze dachten echt met ons mee! Deze locatie ligt ook perfect als je van plan bent meerdere dagen de pekoe trail te lopen, aan het einde van stage 12. ‘s Ochtends op het balkon een heerlijk ontbijtje! Door het balkon in de zon konden we onze kleding en schoenen laten drogen en de dag erna weer fris op pad!

Super herzliche Familie! Der Ausblick ist unbezahlbar und ein idyllischer Ausgangspunkt für die Teeberge. Der Bäcker in Haputale war der beste unserer Reise!

Excellent accueil des hôtes, avec qui le contact est aisé. Situation agréable, centre d'Haputale accessible à pied et proche de promenades. N'hésitez pas à diner sur place.

Netter Gastgeber, hat mich zum Bus mit dem Tuk Tuk gebracht. Zimmer sehr sauber mit schönem Balkon. Decke wegen Kälte war vorhanden.

We couldn’t choose better place to stay In Haputale. If you don’t mind a bit of walk totally grew location - calm, amazing view. Room clean, warm blankets, hot water and the window in front of the bed with the morning sunrise view is just incredible. Plus owner is really helpful. Big recommendation

Very clean and the owner go out of their way to assist you

Petit couple et belle maman adorables, bienveillants sans être oppressants. Le mari nous a bichonné, n'a pas voulu nous faire payer notre dernier tuk-tuk pour nous raccompagner à la gare, nous a pris en photos et nous a donné des précieux conseils. Le lieu est incroyable, on en prend plein les yeux. Les repas sont délicieux. Repos assuré dans ce petit village de montagne

Really beautiful property with great views. I stayed here after Pekoe Trail stage 12. Kind owners and comfortable bed.

Fahad et Begum ont été des hôtes vraiment très attentionnés et souriants. Les chambres sont grandes et confortables, la salle d'eau a de l'eau chaude. Begum cuisine à la demande et c'est très bon et copieux, tout comme le petit déjeuner. Fahad propose avec son tuktuk de très intéressantes visites des alentours. Excellent rapport qualité prix.

Le climat changeant et frais certains jours mais ce n' est pas de la faute de nos hôtes ! Précision utile pour les personnes âgées ou handicapées : les escaliers pour accéder aux chambres sont assez raides.

Die Lage ist toll, es gibt eine Abkürzung an die Hauptstraße nach Haputale und wir hatten alles, was es braucht. Das Essen und vor allem die Hilfsbereitschaft der ganzen Familie hat unseren Aufenthalt perfekt gemacht!

Diese Unterkunft ist allein schon für die wunderschöne Sicht lohnenswert. Die Zimmer sind groß und geräumig und das Frühstück wird auf dem Balkon serviert.

Terrazza con un bellissimo panorama dove abbiamo cenato e fatto colazione. Ottimo cibo e proprietari super gentili e disponibili, con una scorciatoia arrivi in paese in 10 minuti.

La nostra camera non era dotata di bagno in camera ,che si trova comunque difronte ad uso privato ma non era specificato nella prenotazione

Les propriétaires sont très accueillants et arrangeants. La chambre était propre, spacieuse et calme. Literie très correcte. Vue superbe sur la vallée. Le propriétaire propose de vous amèner en tuktuk au lipton seat Petit déjeuner très bon et copieux. Dîner sur place possible, très bon. On vous le thé et le café.

Shower could've been more powerful. However, hot water was a superb change for Sri Lanka!

Comfortably accommodation 10 minutes by walk from the beautiful Haputale. There was hot shower and great breakfast with the view. It is highly suggested for those we are doing the Pekoe Trail.

Lovely location

The views are amazing. The owners are absolutely lovely. They were very helpful and asked us how our stay had been and how they could improve anything. So I feel a little mean pointing out what wasn't great about it as they may change these things.

It was generally grubby. Old damaged furniture. The beds didn't have a sheet between you and the blanket. The electrics in the bathroom were alarming. Only one relaxing chair on the verandah. Breakfast not nearly as good as all the other places we've stayed in Sri Lanka.

Hospitality is top notch. It's really valuable for money. Highly recommend budget stay

What an amazing stay. We had the room that was orientated to the east and every morning we could see the amazing sunrise. The balcony was spectacular, we really liked to have breakfast there. The room was big and very cute and tidy. We definitely recommend this place.

Beautiful view from room and balcony where meals were served. Good wifi. Large room, hot shower, unusual to have small towel but adequate. Place is close to snack shop and restaurant (that I did not like). Best was the hospitality of host. He lent me an umbrella and walked me partway to the restaurant to make sure I could find it. And instead of serving only a standard local meal, the host worked with me to serve food I might like. Yogurt served with breakfast. Hibiscus tea available. Local dinner was the best I have had in country other than one restaurant.

Tourists talking while eating breakfast on balcony next to my room or children crying woke me every morning around 0630. I had planned to go hiking but it was cold, cloudy and rainy. And I was still recovering from food poisoning with this a good place to chill.

The hostess was very nice and helpful. We asked her for a mosquito net that was not in the room and she brought it to us. The net had some holes, but we appreciate the effort and at least some protection from mosquitoes. We also wanted bottled water at the accommodation, the hostess didn't have any, but she got it for us and brought us two bottles in the end. She also offered us a good dinner on the balcony with a nice view for a very decent price.

There was no soap in the bathroom and the windows couldn’t close due to sunshine past few days. But no biggie.

This family guesthouse is a really wonderful experience. We arrived a little earlier than planned and the room was promptly made available for us. They helped with all of our questions & arranged a bike for us and we had a lovely breakfast every morning on the balcony. Fantastic communication throughout and really lovely hosts - thanks so much!

The view is magnificent !!! The hosts are so nice and helpful (and their English is perfect), we strongly suggest you to have dinner and/or breakfast at the guesthouse!

Our stay was absolutely magical! The hospitality was outstanding. [Begum], sorry if I wrote it wrong, was incredibly welcoming and kind. Her behavior was absolutely exceptional, and she spoke English very well, which made everything so easy. It truly felt like a privilege to stay with her. One of the rare people who made us feel completely safe and cared for, without any pressure or intention to make money off us!!She always recommended the best options for our trips, ensuring we had the best experience. The food was delicious— Begum is an excellent cook, and I highly recommend trying her meals! The room was clean, with a comfortable bed. Our private shower was just across our room. Thank you so much for your kindness and outstanding hospitality.

The hostess was very friendly and helpful, and also a very good cook. The WiFi was very good. The room was large and comfortable, with chairs in the room. The view from the room and balcony where we had our meals was beautiful.

The lady is very helpful. Do not hesitate to ask her for help in planning your trips-she is happy to assist you. She is also willing to prepare a breakfast very early in the morning (if you need to leave early). You can enjoy a perfect view from the shared terrace. It is within walking distance of the central bus station. The room is large, clean and has a perfect view. Definitely value for the price.

Nice large room with a comfy bed, easy chairs, desk and great elevated views out over the hills. Access to a large covered balcony with a table for meals and a great spot for relaxing. Good breakfast and recommend other meals there too. Friendly and helpful host with good advice for your local travel and tours. 15 minute walk to the town centre.

The bed was rock hard, did not feel comfortable with the bathroom, really dark, there were slippers in there, I think buckets to shower with. Not nice

The plumbing in the bathroom needs attention. More water came out of the hose than the shower head, so used bucket. Didn't try the separate hot water 'system' .

This is a delightful place to stay. The room was huge, balcony where we ate our meals had the most incredible view and there is a short cut to the town which makes it easy to walk.. Our hostess could not do enough for us and her English is excellent
