“Absolutely loved my stay at Rai’s Coorg Cave House! It’s one of the most unique places you’ll find in Coorg, beautifully designed and very well maintained. The food was excellent and truly added to the experience. The owner was very responsive and guided us well on nearby sightseeing spots. They also have homegrown honey, pepper, and coffee, which you can purchase. We also got to see the Rock House, which has a beautiful natural, earthy feel. A special highlight is the small private waterfall inside the property — you can go down and have a great time there with family. Overall, everything about the stay was perfect — highly recommended!”

Amazing location and nice concept, the cave house! We had a tranquil and lovely stay with our pet. Ideal place for a family with a pet. Caretaker,Mr. Subaiah and his family were very friendly. Food was good. Overall a couple of days well spent.

This is place for nature lovers.Morning walks are really thrilling amidst coffee plantations.The motorable road almost ends near the cave house.one should walk in the extended bumpy road.After 10 mins,take left turn and find a stream down below.Calm place with lush green forest across.Climb back and continue ur walk.Lo! you are in a narrow lane with plantations on both sides.No permission required. come back ,have good breakfast and go out for nearby places of tourist interest. Return in night to relax,chill and have sumptuous dinner.We stayed for two nights and stay is really memorable. Cave house, living in is a unique experience by itself.Early morning, sit in balcony to hear chirping sounds of birds and sound of stream and watch the scenery.

WOW, the place was amazing, Cave house was made very nicely, feel like we staying in different location. Owner of this Cave house is very friendly, informed every bit of information which are available in the Cave House. Food was very nice, everything are home made. I will recommend we should experience with this stay with family and friends.

The ambience and the way they have made the homestay, its simply amazing. The waterfall is quite good and private. The facilities available in homestay are good.

The path to waterfall is damaged and needs repair. Little bit language barrier. The quick bite options should be more clear and should not need pre ordering.

I liked the cave and it’s concept.

There was no pool, a swimming pool for children to play and elders to relax will add it up to this property. Area is secluded, that’s little scary for outsiders. There was no scenery(scenic places around) except we had to spend our whole time inside the cave.

It was tough to engage the kids once the waterfalls were inaccessible due to heavy rains.

The way this space is designed, truly a piece of marvellous architecture. The best of Club Mahindra or Evolve Back resorts don’t come close to this experience

Unique. Beautiful surroundings, with private waterfalls. Owner very friendly, promptly replied to all our queries. Caretaker and family were very nice. They made sure we got everything to celebrate my mother’s birthday in style.

A great property, with a cool concept. We rented the whole place as a couple. Comes with a nice trail into the coffee plantation that has monkeys at least a dozen bird species. The backyard has a fantastic view and you can walk down to your own tiny private waterfall within 5 minutes. The campfire was amazing sitting under the stars. The host is wonderful, caring and very responsive. Good local dishes made to your liking. They won’t overcharge you, so go ahead and take all their add ons and products.

It was quite hot in March, and the power kept fluctuating but not a deal breaker. Communication with the caretakers was a little challenging due to language issues but manageable.

The food cooked by the hosts is great! The place truly exceptional and will meet your expectations of experiential stays. Must visit if you’re coming over to coorg

The location is excellent. Truly this property is for Nature Lovers. This place is for families who love nature. You wake up to birds chirping, trees swaying, and the sounds of rapids and the river water flowing. The food is very good, both veg and non-veg. The owner of the property (Mr. Rupak Rai), personally ensures that his guests have a good stay. For those who are working on their holidays, the WiFi connection is Excellent. We did not experience any power cuts. All in all a SUPERB property. I would highly recommend this place to NATURE LOVERS!!! The barbeque and Bonfire were the highlight of our trip. We requested the caretaker of the property to arrange it for us. (of course, you have to pay for the meats/veggies). TRULY A JUNGLE EXPERIENCE 15 mins away from Coorg city.

Yes, the bathrooms desperately need a revamp. There was a sewage smell leaking into the bathrooms which became a bit of a nuisance. If blankets could be placed in sealed plastic bags after they were laundered, that would be a plus point. As we were skeptical about using the blankets, thinking of who used them before us because they were just folded and kept on the shelves.

This place was just amazing, literally pure serendipity. The location, the cave, the interiors, the hospitality, the food and everything was impeccable. The cave theme was very unique and well maintained. You must visit this place to enjoy a blissful experience. The sounds from nature all around you including the water stream is pure therapeutic. In fact the drive thru to this resort is itself so beautiful and was made easy enough to locate with proper sign boards. The staff and the owner are very helpful and humble. I would highly recommend this place to everyone for a delightful staycation and am definitely looking forward to visiting again.

This private estate offers a tranquil family getaway. A secluded waterfall, perfect for a refreshing dip after a short estate walk , ensures utmost privacy. Subbaiah and his family provide excellent care, enhancing security and services. An ideal retreat.

Such a lovely and unique experience of staying in the wild. The private waterfall was worth the experience.

The Cave House is a true testament to creativity and imagination. Designed to resemble a natural cave, the architecture blends seamlessly with the surrounding landscape, offering guests a harmonious connection to nature.

Wanted a something different from the regular hotel and it turned out to be a very good choice for us. My nieces enjoyed the stay very much. Cave experience was very good. The food cooked by the caretaker and his family was very delicious. Owner over WhatsApp was making sure we had the best arrangements.

1. Location- the entire house surrounded by forest. No noise. Just the sounds of nature. You are away from civilization. Need such breakes. Wonderful view all around with fresh air. 2. Cave house - very well planned interiors, furniture, optimum utilization of space, Cave like feel all around. 3. Rooms - one bedroom with perfect valley view from bed. This rooms bathroom has openning with forest view Other one with bunk bed completely like Cave. 4. Staff - Subbaiah and his wife. Timely delicious food. Support for all needs 5. House runs on. UPS and backup generator 6. Solar for hotwater 7. Barbecue set and bonfire area.

Everything comes with a package. But when there is external interference one need to wait. Being away from civilization you are on your own. We experienced no network and the house wifi went down.. sometimes this is good as u get complete privacy and break. Convenience and proximity to shops is not possible. There is serious shortage of electricity. Though the hose runs on UPS with 3 strong batteries we had power outage at night. But they have generator as backup which saved us from darkness. Commute or access to main road. You need to have ur own vehicle.

Stay n staff is nice

Main think I like in this resort is, even though we were only 2 member stayed, the whole resort home will be ours and no others will be allowed/shared, which admired me a lot. About owner, really a nice person, tracks us from our start and even after vacate, enquired whether we reached safely, which not most or none of the other resorts done till now. Caretakers are so friendly and always face us with a smile :). Home made food and they prepare food according to our request and the taste of food was awesome, both with quantity and quality.

This is a unique sort of holidaying experience, having a sense of staying inside the cave but with all modern amenities for a comfortable stay. The host was quite friendly, caring and helpful. He had constant touch with us during the entire stay, although he stayed out of India, to make sure our stay was comfortable. The caretakers were also friendly; the food was homely, hygienic, and tasty. They provided us with Coorg-style south Indian food on demand. I was carrying my pet with me (1.5 years Shih Tzu), who enjoyed the premises and freely roamed around for four days. The Cave is quite spacious with a kitchen, a sitting, large TV, a refrigerator, a toast maker, cutleries, a microwave oven, two bedrooms, and attached washrooms; we especially appreciated the balcony with the valley view. Sitting on the balcony in the cool breeze and enjoying the magnificent view was quite enjoyable.

The approach road is a slight concern, especially the last few meters. Although the property has a proper road, the last 1.5 km of road is muddy or stony. The last few meters have literally been stony with quite a bit of discomfort for driving.

The property is well managed. The rooms gives you the cave feeling which was great. Their is a rooftop fireplace with seating and garden which will good for cold nights.

The property location is bit tricky and road is not that good.
