Reasonable cost. Clean. Well equipped. Coffee machine—fantastic. Room fridge with complimentary water milk yoghurt and orange juice. Basic breakfast comp too.

Entrance is gloomy and needs redecoration. Restaurant has limited opening days but that’s going to change.

Manager,bar staff and waitress were all very friendly and helpful on our stay at The Roost on Rock Room was lovely and modern with excellent facilities, shower was amazing and the bed very comfortable ,Evening live singer was a lovely extra to our stay

Fantastic rooms, really smartly done up and with everything you could need. The pub was lovely too, with excellent food and wonderful staff who went out of their way to help. The garden is also a lovely evening sun trap. Would definitely stay again!

The main hallway could probably do with a fresh coat of paint, but it’s a very minor point and didn’t detract from the stay at all.

The first room we had was lovely, because i added another night stay seperately , We got moved to another room,

The second room we stayed in, Was disgusting , hair in the bed ,

Noise after 11 pm Staff from restaurant smoke cigarettes and talk loud .

Amazing food very friendly professional staff.very comfy mattress and pillows lovely linen on bed.

Toilet flush faulty. Wardrobe door stiff to open dragging along the wooden floor making marks on the floor. Noisy chillers from the pub under our window kept us awake.

Very peaceful location in picturesque village

Room was comfy, with a fridge and coffee maker. Also TV had lots of choices and options.

Only one window that opens and it was on the roof so tricky to access with the pole, so it was very hot and stuffy even with the fan on to the pointI had to leave the room door open . The shower only seem to have hot as it's lowest temperature, which also didn't help the heat situation either. Would have been nice if there was staff their on hand, even if it was just for the bar to be open.

Comfortable and well furnished room with all amenities. Self check-in process was easy. No breakfast option available, but complimentary self-service cereal, fruit, yogurt and juice were provided which was a nice touch.

Room was well appointed but looking just a little tired in places - shower temp dial did not work so water was warmer than I'd have preferred but overall fine.

The staff was very friendly, the room was unexpectedly modern, given the location is a bit off beaten tracks. The food was very good (not the cheapest but still good value). Little details like feminine hygiene available in the pub toilet, a small fridge with yogurt and juice, as well as things like bananas and croissants for a light breakfast, made the difference.

The bathroom door was a bit wobbly, but that was very little nuisance compared to the overall quality.

Lovely quiet location. Nice pub attached and area and nice area to sit outside. Excellent food in the pub and nice bar staff. Great to have a huge fan and window able to be opened wide in such hot weather.

Don’t think I’d agree that ours was a King room. We knew when we booked that the premises would be empty but we assumed that there would be someone to contact if any issues. We also knew that there was a complimentary breakfast by the accommodation entrance (cereal, fruit) . The problem was that the ‘complimentary’ milk in the inadequate tiny fridge was ‘off’. We wanted just to ask someone for some fresh milk. I found the owners telephone number. She was abroad and just said there’s a shop at the top of the road . Also, although we asked for the room to be cleaned, they didn’t go in the bathroom. No new towels, bin unemptied. Other residents felt the same way.

Easy to find and get access. No time restrictions. Lovely room and impeccably clean.

Shame the bar/restaurant wasn’t open on the night I stayed which is a shame as I hear the welcome and food is awesome!

The room was spacious with a good size en-suite and very comfortable bed. Good quality bedding, towels etc and the breakfast items were enough. Plenty of off street parking available.

None of the windows were able to be opened. There is a fan but sometimes you just want fresh air especially when it’s hot. The was a skylight but no instructions were left regarding how to operate it. The controls on the wall by the bed didn’t seem to work.

Fantastic hotel, every little detail you would expect from a hotel, staff fantastic, evening meal was amazing. Very friendly relaxing hotel. The bed was so comfy, didn't want to get out of bed.

although cereals were available nothing wrong with what offered, although based on how fantastic the evening meal was, would love to have tasted full breakfast as chef amazing

On arrival we already had received the codes for the front door and the room. On arrival to the bar/reastaurant we were met with very friendly staff who could not do enough for us. We had booked a table to celebrate my husbands birthday and agin nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing and I would highly recommend xxx

The location was nice and the keyless entry using only codes was a good and convenient way of checking in. The shower was nice and there was a small mini fridge provided. There was a big fan in the room as well.

The room could’ve been a bit cleaner as we found other people’s hair on the bedding and the floor was dirty. No window that you could open in the room which made it stuffy in the summer but there was a fan provided which we appreciated.

There was so much to like….Lovely location, plenty of parking & gorgeous rooms! Very comfortable & beautifully furnished! Joanne, Andy & all the staff were wonderful & extremely attentive! We had an amazing dinner in the restaurant, incredible choice of food even for myself who is coeliac! Lovely ambience & incredible service. Thank you so very much!

This was our second stay at The Roost, this time we bought some friends and we all had a great time. Lovely rooms and a comfortable bed. Will be back next summer for sure!

Exceptionally, modern, well presented room. Excellent touches, coffee machine, kettle, fridge, fresh milk. Breakfast on the go, choice of cereal, granola and fruit included in the cost. Really lovely staff, friendly, helpful. Self contained with coded entry doors. Beautiful finish to the bathroom and bedroom.

The rooms were beautiful and the option to help yourself to cereals and fruit in the morning for free was fantastic. The fridges in the room were stocked with Milk, orange juice and water, again all included in the price. The lady managing was friendly and very welcoming. Shower was powerful and hot, really couldn't of asked for more.

Nothing at all to complain about. Only thing I would of preferred was a proper lock to the room instead of a key code.

Joanne and Andrew and all the staff were so welcoming and friendly. Rooms were beautiful and the complimentary breakfast items was a lovely extra. Food in the pub was exceptional, chef, bar staff and wait staff were friendly and helpful. Area was quiet and bed comfy so a good night's sleep was had by both of us. Really felt like our local pub, we would 100% stay again just for that reason.

Lovely, comfortable room in quiet location. Excellent complimentary breakfast choice with cereal,fruit and quality juice, fresh milk and yogurt in a quiet little fridge in room. Great little country pub with restaurant, although didn't eat this time as attending a private party nearby. Would definitely stay again, highly recommend.

The damp patch on the wall in the staircase up to the guest rooms was a shame, and didnt give the best of first impressions. the bedside tables have very nice reading lights - but you cannot control them without having the big main lights turned on in the room - which defeats the object really.

Rooms were clean and furnished to a good standard. Good location due to close proximity to airports.

Black hairs in the muesli and the orange juice was out of date by a month. Water or milk bottle was not restocked from first night. My colleagues milk was off and was unable to eat breakfast, again this was not refreshed. Did not see one member of staff.

It is a lovely country pub, everyone was very friendly and it had a great atmosphere. The room had everything you could ask for and more. Very comfortable bed, good quality linen, stylish bathroom with a really good shower. The complimentary extras are a nice touch.

Ease of check in was very efficient, all done by pin/security codes sent on day of arrival. Complementary breakfast snacks available in the foyer was a nice touch which we took full advantage of. Bar and restaurant served good food and drinks

The sky light in our room was broken, it was tied shut but a shoe lace or something so when it was windy at night it whistled throughout the night disturbing our sleep

From the second we walked in the door the staff couldn’t do enough for us. Owner Jo was lovely. Very friendly and had a nice chat about the area. 10000% go back. Food was unreal, Everything we had was just amazing. Not over priced but top quality food.

Staff went out of their way to help and were very welcoming. Little touches like USB ports and coffee machine were nice too. Sign in was easy. We couldn't hear any noise from the pub downstairs.

Lighting in the room was quite confusing. Bed was small and bouncy (hard not to wake each other up). Nice idea to have a fridge but it was very small so could barely fit anything in it.

Breakfast was great, really handy as well had an early start. Room was amazing and so comfortable. We ate in the restaurant downstairs and it was one of the best meals we’ve had

Had a lovely stay! The owners accommodated a late check out for us and every small detail was thought of within the property to ensure a smooth,comfortable stay, will definitely return here!
