Funky fun boat.

Location was 20 minutes by tram from the action. No privacy as there is only glass doors from shower into the living area. Perfect for honeymooners, but not good for a family with teens. Very precarious getting in & out on a steep staircase.

Everything was perfect. Very clean, the owner was very welcoming. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Easy transport into the centre. Very quiet location. Even had drinks on arrival. We will definitely be going back, everything you could need was there. The owner was contactable if needed which we didn't, very organized and exceptional stay. Easy to find, only a 3 minute walk from transport

Owner was very friendly and attentive. Was on the water, but very calm. Could not tell. They also helped me navigate the public transportation of Amsterdam.

Wasn’t actually the property, but the people of Amsterdam. They are very uptight about walking through their bike paths.

Ruhige Lage, gute Tram Anbindung, schönes Ambiente, tolles Oberdeck. Sehr netter Vermieter. Wir haben sogar zwei E-Bikes für die Dauer unseres Aufenthaltes bekommen! Viele Dank nochmal Jan Paul…

An apartment absolutely worth recommending. Clean, beautiful, cozy, and with an incredible atmosphere. The "Queen Room" is indeed tiny, but cozy and beautiful. The host was wonderful—he even offered the use of the "King Room" for a day since it happened to be vacant. It was incredibly beautiful—the sauna, the Jacuzzi, simply everything. WONDERFUL! It is a bit of a distance away, but perfect if you enjoy long walks; plus, bicycles are available, so it’s pure luxury. Absolutely highly recommended!!!

Such a great idea! Had everything that we needed for a weekend away & was in a great location! The hosts were so friendly and accommodating! A great experience!

Ich habe diese Reise meinem Sohn zum 20sten Geburtstag geschenkt. Mein Sohn und sein bester Freund waren begeistert vom Hausboot, den zuvorkommenden Vermietern und die Nähe zur Stadt. Sie haben gesagt, dass sie das Hausboot immer wieder mieten würden. Die Reise war erfolgreich 👍😊

This is a great place to stay! Jan Paul went above and beyond in making us welcome. The room is wonderful. The location is very convenient to public transit. I can’t recommend it enough!

Jan Paul was a very welcoming host, and very kindly allowed us the use of his laundry machines on our last night. The room was comfortable, clean, and cosy, and the loft bed was fun. Excellent shower, trendy modern decor. Fantastic location - quiet neighborhood with easy connection to central Amsterdam via tram just a short walk away. We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the boat, and would absolutely stay here again.

There was nothing to not like. But not suitable for guests with mobility issues...

Alles, es war ein perfektes Wochenende, das Apartment ist absolut einen Aufenthalt wert. Der Gastgeber ist super freundlich, die Ausstattung 1a und mit den Öffis ist man auch super schnell im Zentrum um zu bummeln. 😊

Chambre impeccable. Propre, confortable, impossible de s'ennuyer. Le sauna, hamam et bain a remous, les trois dans la même chambre, super idée. Très fonctionnel.

Lage war fantastisch. Klein aber fein. Sauber war's ebenfalls. Suuuuuper bequemes Bett.

Dass man das Fenster überm Bett nicht, und wenns nur ein Spalt wäre, aufmachen kann. War nachts schon arg warm. Aber der Ventilator hat geholfen.

The facilities were beautiful and clean, the location was gorgeous, a little bit out of the way, but lovely!

We were expecting a mini bar but all that was in there was 2 cans of Grolsch. When prompted for a reason for booking I advised honeymoon. A lot of other reviews had mentioned being greeted with a bottle of champagne or similar, but we just had the 2 cans

Beautifully designed, compact space. Good travel connections into Amsterdam Central Station & the city (easy to get to the Rijksmuseum & Van Gogh). John Paul was very friendly & welcoming.

Need a personal safe. Felt bad at times to use bathroom at night as the pump made noise and I was worried to wake up the neighbors.

Gute und ruhige Lage

The property was so well kept and such a standard I now want to live on a boat. Welcome gifts like a bottle of bubbly and a couple cans of Heineken in the fridge were a lovely touch even from two non drinkers the thought is clearly there for their guests. Jacuzzi, sauna and steam shower worked brilliantly and the two videos that were provided when we first arrived to show how to operate came in very handy! Nice little iPad set up by the jacuzzi, Sonos speaker and candles around the boat made for a really relaxing evening.

I have poor eye sight so stepping onto the boat was a bit worrying for me but that’s just boats in general, maybe some little solar lights by the step over part, but again very minor small problem for myself not for everyone. It is definitely not a reason to not stay again I absolutely loved it.

JP is lovely, and the boat itself was class - we went during a storm but felt no disruptions from weather whatsoever! The complimentary Heinekens and cava were a lovely touch, and we would love to come back :)

Very unique interior and lots of love put into the details! Enjoyed it from the very first second. Also the host is just perfect, super friendly and very helpful in making sure you feel like staying with a good friend rather than just being a guest

Could not recommend enough ! The best hospitality I’ve ever received . The property was spectacular and extremely clean . Amenities were next level , not to mention the bed was to dream for even tho it may look small in the photo it was huge ! And you’ll sink right in it . John was eager to make sure I enjoyed my experience and I sure know where I will be booking in future visits to Amsterdam , host turnt freind ! Even a bottle of bubbly to welcome !

Not a single thing

Das Bett war super bequem, auch wenn mein Freund (1,82m) gerade so reingepasst hat. Es ist ganz kuschelig.

Leider hat uns der Besitzer im Vorfeld nicht mehr richtig über den Check-In informiert. Als wir dann angekommen sind, trafen wir dann unseren leicht angetrunkenen Vermieter (was ja an sich völlig egal ist), der weder unseren Zimmmerschlüssel dabei hatte, noch gab es Toilettenpapier oder frische Handtücher in unserem Zimmer. Er reichte es dann direkt alles nach ( hatte nur noch eine klopapierrolle für maximal ein Geschäft), ist aber trotzdem sehr merkwürdig. Nachdem wir dann nochmal eine Runde Amsterdam erkunden gegangen sind, kamen wir in unser Zimmer zurück und haben uns extrem erschrocken, weil in unserem Zimmer laut Musik lief. Scheinbar war die Musikbox in unserem Zimmer mit seiner Box verbunden. Alles etwas verpeilt! Wir sind keine Leute mit extrem hohen Ansprüchen, aber wir haben viel Geld für das kleine Zimmer gezahlt und dann nervt sowas schon!

WOW! This property exceeded our expectations. We loved every single thing about our accommodations. The entire place was spotless. LOVED the steam shower and sauna. The iPad for music and speaker was an awesome unexpected extra. LOVED that there were bikes included with this booking.

Literally nothing could have been better.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Kurztrip! Die Unterkunft ist sehr liebevoll und geschmackvoll eingerichtet – man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Perfekt für einen Pärchenurlaub, um einfach mal abzuschalten und die Zeit zu zweit zu genießen. Für drei Tage war alles absolut ausreichend, vor allem wenn man viel unterwegs ist. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und können den Aufenthalt auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen!

We loved everything about Boat and Boost Amsterdam. It was an ideal getaway spot for the two of us. Check-in was easy and Jan Paul, the delightful host, was there to greet us upon our arrival. We stayed in the smaller of the two houseboat apartments and it was perfectly cosy and comfortable with enough space for two. The apartment was spotless. Full marks as well for creative use of space and modern well thought out craftsmanship. While slightly off the beaten path relative to Amsterdam's city centre, its location made for very tranquil living away from the bustle of city centre, yet close enough to be within convenient reach of Amsterdam's main attractions. There are several restaurants as well as grocery stores a short walk away if needed. Public transit to downtown is quick, easy and right around the corner. A Highly recommended Amsterdam houseboat experience.

The area is easy to get to via public transport bus and rail, the room is excellent, spacious, well laid out and well designed. The hot tub and sauna are an excellent addition and are easy to use and enjoy. JP is a very nice, friendly and interesting host and has a beautiful friendly 4 legged friend to boot!

Fantastische tijd mogen beleven in deze toffe accommodatie. De boot en kamer heeft een mooi afwerkingsniveau met oog voor detail in de luxe inrichting. Uiterst vriendelijke gastheer.

Great location and fun very different

Mezzanine bead was awkward and poor lighting was verging on dangerous, lots of steps very poorly lit coming in at night. Didn’t receive much feedback from owner either

Loved the location, felt far enough to be away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to a cute neighbourhood with cafes and bars and easy access via tram into the centre. Boat was so cool, felt very modern inside and finished to a high standard. Room had lots of nice little touches. Felt very safe and secure and loved looking out of the sky view window. Host was very friendly and made me feel very welcome - he and his dog are lovely!

Nothing, I thought it was wonderful, but some considerations for future guests: Whilst it wasn’t a problem for me, the bed is up a set of steep and narrow steps going to the ‘top bunk’, and some people might not like this especially if they have to get up in the night to use the toilet. Again, As a solo traveller it wasn’t an issue but if you were staying here with another person you’d have to be ‘well acquainted’ as the shower offers minimal privacy to anybody else in the room and you’d be ‘very on show’ :)

Es ist ein tolles Erlebnis auf einem ausrangierten Kahn zu wohnen, die Vermeiter waren ausnehmend nett und hilfsbereit. Insgesamt ein schönes Erlebnis.

Wenn es regnet, ist das Zimmer für einen Aufenthalt am Abend etwas klein. Zudem ist es wegen des Bettes im Alkoven mehr etwas für Sportliche

Mit allen Annehmlichkeiten technischer und digitaler Natur ausgestattetes Hausboot. Sauna, Dampfdusche, Whirlpool sind ein Erlebnis. Dazu super bequemes Bett. Heiße und kalte Drinks inklusive. Sehr ruhige Lage. Restaurants und Bäckerei ganz in der Nähe. Kompliment und Dank an JP, den freundlichen Gastgeber!

Very clean and ultra modern! Attention to detail was excellent.

One of the reasons I booked this property was for the included bikes. I sent a message about the bikes before my stay, to double check they were included. I did not get a reply. Once we arrived we met the host who showed us around the boat. However because we were tired due to just finishing a 3 day festival I Forgot to ask face to face about the bikes.Therefore I sent another message about the bikes, to which the host again missed. This resulted in us having to walk around Amsterdam for our 2 day stay and also use taxis. Therefore this let our trip down somewhat. The host did apologise. However not having the bikes available did really spoil our time. I’d recommend having the codes for the bikes available at the property so they don’t have to rely on the host. Other than this the host is very nice and the boat is excellent. It is quite a walk to the centre of Amsterdam, so I’d recommend ensuring you get the bikes.

Tolle Lage des Haus Bootes, ruhig und mit Restaurants in der Nähe. Tolle Zimmer Ausstattung mit stimmungsvoller Beleuchtung, Sonos Soundbox mit Tablet, gute Sanitär Anlage. Alles sauber und stilvoll eingerichtet. Jan, der Gastgeber, ist ein sehr netter hilfsbereiter Mensch mit einer tollen positiven Ausstrahlung.

Staying at Boat and Boost was like the early days of Airbnb: quirky and very cool accommodation in the host's home that really connects you to the place in a way that staying in a hotel cannot do. Jan Paul is an amazing host - super friendly, helpful, attentive and fun. It's beautifully designed and a fun space in a really lovely part of Amsterdam, with a tram to the centre 3 mins walk away. Honestly, just book it - you won't be disappointed!

I have nothing negative say! Just be aware that rules for tourist accommodation are really strict in Amsterdam - this is legally known as a B&B (confusingly this means that you can have breakfast on the premises, not that you are provided with breakfast) with facilities closer to a hotel room rather than a self contained apartment. So prepare to eat all meals out.

We had an amazing 3 night stay on the boat for my wife's 30th birthday, the place was very clean upon arrival. JP our host was great from start to finish and made us feel welcome on to the boat right away and he even went to the effort of putting 'Happy Birthday' decorations up. The facilities are fantastic, exactly as they look in the photos! He also has a very friendly dog named Luuk who greeted us every day. Can't recommend this place enough - arrived as guests and left as friends 👍🏻

Had an awesome stay at Boat & Boost. Such a great local location and easy to get to the city centre via tram! The room was clean, modern & comfortable! And such a cool experience to stay on a house boat.The hosts were super lovely! Hope to visit again sometime soon!
