Everything was amazing

The apartment itself was lovely…modern, clean and comfortable. The bed was high, but comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with cutlery and crockery, but could have done with a toaster…something that seems to be lacking in most places weve stayed in the West Indies. It did, however, have a toaster oven, which was very handy. The apartment faced a quite busy road, but the noise did not bother us as the bedroom was quiet enough.

Communication with the host was quite poor. We sent 3 emails ( we travel without a phone) the day before our arrival, telling her we had arrived in Montego Bay and could she please confirm our early check in(which had previously been agreed to by email). All we got back was “Welcome to Montego Bay”. Not very helpful. We arrived after much confusion from the taxi driver, who was a born and bred local, trying to find the place, which is not signposted and no house number is published on the booking site….luckily it was on a short street and he went up and down the street asking people where the place was. (It’s on the corner of the street, in case you have the same trouble.) The lady there was able to ring the host and she told us that early check in was not possible and to come back at 3pm. Understandably we were very early, but some better communication would have put our minds to rest, and we would have planned something else for those few hours. Also, the shower was almost cold…could not get it above lukewarm…I know it’s the tropics, but you can’t wash your hair with cold water.

If you need a quiet location which is not a far drive from the hip strip this is perfect. It was clean and just a nice place to stay. There’s a gym right across the road which was a bonus. Shops are literally right down the road too.

There wasn’t anything that I didn’t like about the property but most probably not the best location for a solo female traveller unless you are driving.

It felt like home away from home. Great value for money, I am definitely recommending and Absolutely booking again summer.

The apartment is spacious, new and clean. It has all the amenities you require. The bed is very comfortable, albeit it a little high and the bathroom is nice and tidy It is close to Clock which is very happening with lots of local route taxis, markets and places to eat.

The internet was unreliable at times, but great when it worked. Would sometimes not connect, and sometimes not load. The blinds in the bedroom are not block out so the light from outside would filter into the room

Spacious, comfortable and VERY clean. Mika, the host running business from NJ, is helpful.

The location is good for someone who likes downtown life or does social study.

I enjoyed how light and simple the place felt. Feels fresh and comfortable.

Little maintaince on the touchpad for the front door handle. Clearer instructions on the screen mirroring feature on the TV. The instructions displayed when you go to select that option, its outdated and is mainly for Android, so if it's even to print instructions and laminate them on the TV stand...stating like for YouTube or Netflix you can use screen share feature on those platforms , find and select the TV...watch and enjoy! Something along those lines would make it easier and faster for others. As well as, the delay it has when displaying movies or YouTube via a smartphone.

Location was perfect. it was close to the property within walking distance.

It should have been a bit more mod com, but I know Mika will get too it.

If breakfast was added then Mika would have to ask me to leave 😉....that would have made the stay more exceptional. I love the fact that the apartment was fully equipped and modernized and felt homely. Mika was very responsive, helpful and patient. The keyless door gave me a sense of security had a very restful night...bed was comfy. The place was very clean I had no problems or reservations about using the rags or towels on my skin. Very close to uptown shopping area either by walking or to get a taxi. This is definitely my go to place once I overnight in Mobay. Will definitely stay longer...thank you Mika...Awesome!!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The Shelton. The apartment exceeded expectations in terms of how comfortable I felt. It was exceptionally clean, very modern and aesthetically pleasing. Mika, the host was very responsive and any requests were dealt with promptly. Ms Nola upstairs was very gracious and warm which made me feel comfortable and safe. It really felt like my home-from-home. I loved the keyless access, it made me feel free not having to carry a key every time I left the apartment and it felt secure. I also liked that the bedroom was lockable by key on the outside, meaning that there was that little bit of extra security and peace of mind. I felt a sense of peace and safety staying at the Shelton and I will surely return.

The only thing I would say is that it wasn’t feasible to walk to and from the beach everyday. And in my downtimes, I would have liked the option of a TV.

TV did not work - Host did not respond to email to rectify Customer Service poor - Host banged on the bathroom window one night scaring me, had an attitude because I hadnt read her email re payment - that put me off Hurricane Beryl happening - affected Lighting on 1st day Location- said 0.3m from airport and I booked because of that but is more 3-4km. Didnt like actual location Noticed the closed gate to my apartment was open on my return No Sign on Property Ants on the bed. Bit me all over Traffic Noise - Extremely Loud Steps down to property, very narrow - difficult with suitcases Paid more that what was quoted by Bookings as Host’s balance incl tax Bed was very high - had to climb up

The Shelton was cosy, clean and comfortable. I felt at home from the start of my stay.

The bottom apartment was nice street is noisy but can maintain location is town only it is a taxi town First time in Jamaica 🇯🇲🌟🤷🪩

We parked inside a gate and walked down a ray of stairs that led you to a beautiful 1 bedroom apartment that looks brand new. The water was not hot but did get luke warm. There is comfort wifi and great ambience. Ceiling fan and Ac available which is a plus. The bed stands very high and very comfortable. The living room was equipped with a huge full mirror and furniture as well as the kitchen was furnished with all you need to cook. I loved it so much I went back and stayed another night and will be going back. The area is located walking distance to downtown as well.

I stayed only 1 night and wanted to stay longer.

The property was easy to locate and had everything needed for a comfort stay.

I liked that the facilities were clean and in excellent condition and it's close proximity to downtown Montego Bay. My host was also very pleasant.

I wish the kitchen had a packet of complementary tea bags and sugar so we could make tea.

We loved everything. The host was super nice nice. She tended to our every needs. The room was very comfortable and clean. I would recommend anyone to stay here as well as I am coming back!!!!

The host is exceptionally kind. Mika first cared if I was feeling safe and if I was at a safe location. I didn't have a taxi number but was quickly sorted. I don't think I ever been so cared for by a host before, and that felt so warm. On arrival, Tamika, the host assistant, was so welcoming and showed me around the apartment and was assertive when saying if I needed anything, I could let her know. The apartment is gorgeous and has absolutely everything you need. If you decide to cook, there's a fully equipped kitchen with cute plates. At the lounge, there's a comfortable sofa and Netflix, so you can chill after a long day. The bed is so comfortable and I had a lovely night sleep. There's also a cute garden where you can sunbathe on days you don't feel like going out. At night, you can get beautiful views of the city lights from the upper part of the property. So beautiful. It's well located if you want to be near town and it has taxis going up and down regularly. It's a good place to stay if you just arrived Mobay or if you want to go either Negril or Portland after. I felt welcomed, comfortable, and safe. I love Mount Salem. There's all sorts of amenities, and you can feel the sense of community around the area. Even found a hairdresser. Will definitely be back and totally recommend.

Having to leave. Could stay for months. That's how homely it felt.
