En este sentido, y en situaciones muy incómodas, quiero destacar la atención de Melchor, recepción del hotel, y Enrique, camarero del Villa Rica. Gracias a los dos por salvar nuestra experiencia!
Además de que no es aceptable el estado de la piscina la tarde del viernes (desde el sábado, con la aparición de la persona encargada de la misma, estuvo, como es habitual, perfecta), dado las situaciones que he comentado anteriormente, para saber si regresamos otra vez (siendo clientes fidelizados), creo que el hotel debe tomar una decisión sobre su modelo de negocio. Las incomodidades vinieron de personas que estaban "invitadas" o habían comprado un "day pass". Qué quiere el hotel? Mantener el ambiente de tranquilidad y paz que vende o que cada persona, en la piscina, ponga su altavoz con música, rompiendo la atmósfera de relajación, y/o que se produzcan situaciones de tensión entre personas que no entienden el ambiente del hotel? Esperamos la decisión del hotel para regresar o.no.

Reviewed Jan 12, 2025We have stayed for the whole week and enjoyed every minute. The rooms are very comfortable and clean, the ceilings are high and beds super comfy. The staff is absolutely lovely and always available. Ladies at reception are so kind and helpful. We will definitely be returning in future. The sea in front of the hotel in very swimmable and water is clean. We have also enjoyed our walks on the beach. Veracruz and the resort is a treasure and hope it stays as a little secret 😁
There are no negatives about the hotel at all. Something that is not hotel related but worth mentioning is that if you love seafood you will enjoy your stay even more as hotel is attached to Villa Rica. However if you are not into seafood you will have to venture out as there is nothing nearby food outlets wise. It wasn’t a problem for us.

One day we were unlucky with a group of Mexican people who were being very loud at the pool area. It was certainly not a group of people you would expect at a Boutique Hotel.

I got very ill from drinking there purified water in my room halfway thru my stay a noticed small bugs in the water the next day. When I got back to the U. S. A. Had to go to urgent care care and got 2 scripts that I took for a week to cure, told them how I got sick when checking out and they haven’t even inquired to see if I was ok or offered any compensation to make up for there negligence in sanitary and hygiene to a customer. But if I didn’t get ill they would have gotten an excellent review for most of everything while staying there

Reviewed Mar 25, 2024I loved everything about the property. The beds were super comfortable plenty of pillows (6) just like at home we booked the balcony room. It was superb. We had room number 10 the lobby staff of Xenia and Juan were exceptional down to the waiters Alejandro & Eduardo for our morning breakfast and snacks on the beach to the cleaning ladies Victoria and Sara.
There is nothing I didnt like with 16 rooms the first few days we were the only guest there as the week went on more guest showed up. The beach in front water is warm , Sandy beach no rocks.

The breakfast was in a nearby restaurant. Taste, choice and quality of the food were below expectations. The pool was pretty small and the private beach dirty.

One evening my husband went to order food. After some language issues a young man came out and approached my husband with a very rude take-charge aggressive attitude. My husband said the young man was mocking him and laughing at his Spanish. Other servers did come out to apologize to my husband for his treatment. On our last night we pre-ordered dinner to be delivered to our room at 6:30. It never came. After calling the front desk, we were told it was being prepared and 30 mins later it arrived however, they brought us something other than what we ordered. By that time we just ate it and the cost.

Remember you are in a suburbian area of Verá Cruz, therefore is not a tropical escape. Highly recommended for a couple of nights during the week.
