The Jack Rose Hotel, Rosebank, Gautrain

During me entire stay of 3 days I had electricity for only 8 hours! E

Decent enough for a work trip. Parking, staff, spaciousness of the unit and amenities of the kitchen. Also they have back up water.

The lack of sink prop or stop gap so I couldn't wash the dishes.

On the entrance security needs to be tighten, since it's hotel they have to provide gowns in the rooms Too much noise on passage need to be controlled Kitchen where they serve breakfast needed to look appealing

Walldrobe are not clean, no security at the entrance

J'ai tout aimé du studio que j'occupais, très propre, paisible, reposant, bien équipé aussi. Bref, tout était comme il faut. C'est avec le cœur serré que je l'ai quitté pour retourner au Cameroun. L'hôtel est très bien situé (Rosebank Avenue), dans un environnement très sécurisé et avec de belles attractions dans les environs.

The hospitality of the staff has no march and the facility is spotless clean.

The breakfast included on the amount and the staff was friendly and helpful both reception and at the kitchen

The lift was not working and we had to use the stares to go to the 3rd floor and Noone notified us. The fact that we had to walk in rain going to the kitchen side. Toilet airfresheaner needed in the toilets Blankets throw was not smelling clean

Venue is deceptive as to what is online and not close to Gautrain as indicated. Area is not safe for tourists, at least if you want a decent place and no attacks or robbery then find a safer place

The kitchen stuff , no proper kitchen uniform , someone was called from the street to prepare breakfast which we did not even eat , dirty cafeteria

I had a really good stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, especially when I made a mistake with my booking dates while trying to extend my stay. They went out of their way to assist me and quickly sorted everything out with such professionalism and patience. I truly appreciate their support and the excellent customer service. I’ll definitely be staying here again and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming experience!

The hotel is close to Rosebank Mall. Good location

I was very disappointed with my sister's stay at this hotel. There was visible humidity on the ceiling near the window. When the cleaner came, she said the floor was already clean, so she only cleaned the bathtub. She did not change the bedsheets or pillowcases. At the restaurant, I was shocked to find a cockroach in the buffet area for 2 days. It was very unhygienic. On top of that, there was no drinking water provided in the room, not even a single bottle, which is unacceptable for a hotel. Overall, I am not satisfied with the service or the cleanliness. This hotel needs serious improvement in hygiene and customer care.

The room was huge, the aircon was very good. The beds were comfortable, and the sheets were spotless. Rosebank is a great area in Johannesburg. Breakfast in the cafe next door was good.

The building is, in general, quite tired. It looks to be an Art Nouveau/Art Deco era building, and as such, has a lot of interesting design touches and style. It would benefit greatly from a restrained refresh/renovation. To complain feels a bit unfair, though, as the cost of staying there was outstanding, especially when compared to other hotels in Rosebank.

Très peu d'ustensiles dans la cuisine, le petit déjeuner n'est pas très copieux et répétitif. Personnel pas forcément très agréable à l'accueil. Difficulté pour la résolution des problème que nous avons rencontré.

No communication from staff we have to go breakfast they need vouchers from us but nobody told us about,room service very poor, nobody came to clean or change our towels or clean the room,no body was in the bathroom

1. It took 3 days to fix a curtain rail which we found broken 2. Buffet breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. The other pair staff, lady and gentleman have need some workshop on customer care. 3. The front view needs constant cleaning. It was left untidy for days. 4 l. The TV is just on display, no dstv channels connected

Spacious rooms.

The area is a bit suspect especially at night you don't feel comfortable and safe being outside as you see many intoxicated people and guys on corners looking like they sell illegal things and make shady deals. The area where breakfast is served is also used as a shebeen/bar at night and the place was filthy with broken doors and worn tables and chairs. The breakfast was not worth it and the hygiene is questionable.

The breakfast was great and the location was a very convenient walk to the big mall and restaurants.

It was quite noisy, and the beds weren't very comfortable.

Tv doesnt have anything useful pre installed, only two pots to cook in, the breakfast is absolutely horrible and the breakfast staff hates their jobs.

Cockroaches in my colleagues room, used toothpick in mine and the aircon only blows out hot air. There were also some permanent residents keeping chickens and the rooms smelt of smoke.

The location is super, near the rosebank gautrain station, near the mall, restaurants and shops. The room was very big and comfortable, a kitchen with all the necessary equipment was available, the bathroom is also big. The staff was cordial and friendly. Really liked and recommend it

The breakfast which is included in the reservation is served in the restaurant attached to the hotel and it could be better, unfortunately one of the days I found an insect in the coffee and the coffee itself seemed to be old (prepared days better and reheated everyday) But the options are good and there is a person cooking eggs and some other things as per your request which is very good
