The shower had hair on the floor. The toilet was not so clean.

For foreigners that don’t speak Zulu, Xhosa etc. if you’re back they automatically assume you can speak yet you’re probably coming from Malawi or Zimbabwe where they don’t speak. So English is suitable to just communicate with.

The acoustics are really bad and the place is overpriced knowing that there are construction works next to it. The staff at the reception attitude is pretty poor.

A lot of noise on the corridors at early hours of the morning. The walls are very thin so you can hear everything in the next hotel room. The place is frequented by a lot of drunk people as two tried to open my hotel room at odd hours of the morning. Cleaners are very loud and chatty with one another on the corridors and even engage in full conversations with one another whilst in your hotel room.

The staff were friendly and location was really great . The apartment was lovely and clean

Du côté où nous étions logés ma famille et moi il y'a des travaux de construction derrière, du coup il y'a énormément de bruit certains jours très tard le soir et souvent très tot le matin.

The walls are very thin and there is no noise control. It’s said to be no noise after 22:00 but I couldn’t sleep because neighbours had a party. Early morning was the same thing. Besides the loud noise you can hear the TV from the room next door and people having conversations outside or the next room.

The unit I stayed in really needed to be thoroughly cleaned. It was infested with roaches. They were even running on the couch. The unit also smelled of cigarette smoke which was apparently from the previous guest.

Apartment is infested with roaches. I killed so many of them. Towels were stained, linen as well. The unit reeked of cigarette smoke which permeated my hair and clothes, the bedding, the curtains. The housekeeping lady did mention that the previous guest smoked and she reported him. However, it didn’t change anything, the damage was already done. Cleanliness really needs to be higher on the priority list. If you plan on sleeping in a bit later on the weekend, tough luck. There was ongoing construction which starts really early in the morning and stops late at night.

Too much noise and poor customer care, tried calling to alert reception about noise and no one picked up calls, despite complaints the night before. We did not sleep for both nights, people were playing loud music and shouting from evening to early hours of the morning.

I was booking for a staff member and we have these workshops every 6 weeks. There was a miscomputation with myself and the staff member , we were coming to pay for the extra night and my staff member was put outside in the cold on the 30th July 2026. I usually book more then 5 rooms at a time I really feel like the matter was not handle well .

Two young men at the front desk were excellent, friendly and helpful, easy to talk with, housekeeping staff and mentainance staff were very helpful too. All the amenities in the room, including a microwave and toaster, nice hot shower, comfortable bed and a great back view. The location is near the rosebank mall, everything you would need.

The location is perfect, close to the rosebank mall, the rooms are lovely and big,clean bathrooms. The room has a kettle,refrigerator,toaster and microwave. There is also a sink and few dishes,spoons,knieves and folks, also a tv.big window. There is very good Wi-Fi, hot water, a/c and heat, love the shower. The staff are amazing, friendly,helpful and kind, always willing to help.

First, thank you so much for the surprise upgrade from a hotel room to a self-catering apartment. I really appreciated it and didn’t expect it at all — that was a lovely start to my stay. I did notice a few things with housekeeping that I thought you’d want to know: - The kitchen table and chairs didn’t appear to have been wiped down, and one chair had a food particle on it - The microwave also wasn’t clean - The TV remote had a burnt battery inside, so I wasn’t able to use the television Other than that, everything else was fine and I enjoyed my stay. I like the security/safety of the property

I didn’t like how housekeeping department wasn’t up to par. I had to ask for a room change and on one of the days I asked for towels because when the room was cleaned no towels were placed in the room.

The bed was comfortable, close to shopping mall, the room was clean and big. I loved everything about the place, I will definitely recommend and come back

A bit noisy on the first day due to construction next door, I was not given the wifi code upon checkin so I had to get to the reception to get it. Other than that. I was very happy with my stay.

I usually stay at Mint Hotel Rosebank because it's convenient, affordable, and consistently offers great service. The security is great and the staff are always friendly, professional, and very efficient. Unfortunately, my most recent stay in Unit 405 was disappointing. The unit is in need of some serious maintenance. The kettle wasn't working on arrival, although the staff replaced it promptly, which I appreciated. The air conditioner would not produce hot air, which was frustrating during the cold weather. The biggest issue, however, was the bathroom. There was a persistent sewer smell that was extremely unpleasant. Even with the windows left open, the odour never went away. It really affected the overall stay. There were also electrical issues. The kitchen lights went off, and there was only one two-pin plug adapter available, which made charging devices inconvenient. I genuinely enjoy staying at Mint Hotel Rosebank and will likely stay again, but I hope Unit 405 receives the attention it needs. It doesn't reflect the standard I've come to expect from the hotel.
