Grand SaiGon Centre - RiverGate Residence Ho Chi Minh City

nothing

change apartment to another place at last minute although already contacted fews days before check in day . new position is not convenient for shopping or do anything . staff rude when gave check in instruction ( not attending at all )

fantastic apartment, great location

L'appartement est bien situé .

La propreté est à revoir .

Cannot check in

Không thích gì cả

Dơ, bồn rửa chén, nhà tắm tất cả đều bị ngập nước , những nhân viên ko hề trợ giúp mặc dù chung tôi có báo cáo, cách dịch vụ tệ,

Nic

To scam.

The reservation was made several weeks in advance. In the lead up to arriving, I was receiving messages that my card would not work. I contacted the property more times than I can remember. Through bookings.com, by phone and also by Whattsap. I even changed the card. There was never a room available. Cancellation of the booking happened a few hours before I was due to arrive. I was contacted by someone offering a ‘similar’ apartment close by. The cost was a little more but we were stuck and had been travelling 18hrs. I had to pay for the alternative in cash. It was not ‘similar’ to what I had booked in any respect. We understand we should have paid £20 per night for what we had but paid £50 per night. DO NOT book this accommodation. IT IS A SCAM

The mgmt agent was rude, impolite and disrespectful. I decided to rent some where else. Nhân viên mất lịch sự, láo and không tôn trọng - thái độ bất cần - giám cancel my reservation.

First of all they gave away our room and booked it on another hotel. The room was dirty and under the bed was filled with trash. Unpleasant experience. You have ruined out vacation in Ho Chi Minh City. Don't recommend

Location is the only thing thats good

The staff advertised that i could use the gym and pool, but thats not the case and its only for tenants. Also the advertise that you can pay with creditcard, but thats not possible. They only accept cash. The appartement was not clean and had cockroaches everyday. Especially the utilities in the kitchen were disgusting. Overal too much money for value. I really would not recommend it!

good apartment

Right when I landed, the host called and told me that they couldn't let me in the apartment I booked, because the last guest damaged it and now they didn't have the electricity. They offered me another option and after negotiation, I needed to pay 3.3M for 3 nights. However the quality there wasn't that I expected, dirty, noisy, full of deodorant, and I needed to waited until 3 PM for the cleaning process. The TV didn't work, lucky me I brought my own iPad, so at least I could watch sth from it. There was no swimming pool or gym as in the ads because the new building doesn't have that. The service also told me that the building I booked as plan also doesn't allow short-term rental to use those facilities, they just put there for ... ads. Overall I would credit this experience -10 overall if I could. I used booking.com multiple times before but so far this is the worst rent I've ever made.

oke

Becoming common to have to wait for someone to arrive and bring keys which not really an issue but when its your first time a bit more direction would help. As this was our first time we were in the wrong block of the building.

The apartments are nice however why basic repairs are not been done is a shame. An example the main bathroom glass shower door has slipped out of the hinges and can no longer close correctly you can very easy see the issue. The shower head in other bathroom room holder is broke not even $1 to replace, so need to hold shower head

The location is good, the city views from the room were nice and the internet was fast. There is security 24 hours and it felt very safe.

The room was way different (less nice and much older furniture) from the one in the picture, it had not been cleaned (there were stains everywhere... in the door, walls, ceilings, duvet, hairs in the mattress...), the wardrobe handle was broken, the aircon was very noisy, no toiletries in the bathroom... and the check in process was stressful as our flight got delayed and the host was not replying to my messages.

Staff were very helpful in finding a satisfactory room even though I booked late. They were contactable by WhatsApp.

Not clean

Not clean

Swimming pool is very good

I have booked this place because there was a free gym included but I could not use it due to a short stay??? Also I asked for the receipt of payment but have not got one! Sometimes reception is unattended whereas it was advertised that there is 24hr someone at the reception?

The new location is near a lot of convenience stores and restaurants, as well as Landmark 81, making walking around a bit fun

Moved to a different apartments building right at checkin. Then moved again to another apartment in the same building due to problems with the first. Both apartments missing multiple things. A/C keeps leaking water. No clothes hanger to dry clothes after washing them. Bathroom door open the wrong way( into a tiny standing bath, can barely fit a toddler).

The location was good, just across the river from the main city centre with access to the bridges easily. Convenient shops and cafes underneath the buildings. The size of the apartment was good and the views were incredible.

It wasn’t the cleanest. The pictures are obviously very old and the apartment is now very run down with some broken features such as the shower head. The kitchen and bathroom are well stocked but both need a good clean. It was too complicated for us to be able to get access to the gym during a short stay which was disappointing considering that was one of the draws to the apartment.

Not much to like. Probably say the view from the 17th window was a highlight.

I'm sure most of the reviews are bots or fake accounts, it certainly wasn't "exceptional" as some have stated, was probably one of the worst I've stayed in, didn't even supply toilet paper, the cutlery was odd bits, there was one coffee mug and what looked like a small kiddies cup, there was a half loaf of moldy bread in an upper cupboard, but in fairness the cleaner probably wouldn't have seen it, though the cleaner didn't see much at all, the TV had a big hand print on it from a previous client, the shower glass was grimey, I could go on but I'll leave some for others to find, they'll never get me again.

Great view over the city from the 17th story. The room has all comforts you expect. Direct whatsapp contact with the host if you need something.

There's no wifi to connect at the swimming pool

Location is convenient Within walking distance to food and entertainment and the convenient store was very close 24/7

The place was only surface level clean and not fully clean under one of the beds you can see underneath was filled with trash and dust. There was also no shampoo and body wash when it was suppose to be included and weird smell from the sink (they forgot to take out the trash from previous tenants).

Affordable, good location. Staff friendly. Plenty of amenities and could ask if you needed anything more.

I arrived earlier than expected due to the flight schedule, but everything was fine. I can check in early.

Vietnam's weather is around a time when the sky is clear and dry. I enjoyed sunbathing and city walks

Nothing. I only had trouble with Grand SaiGon Centre

ALERT ABOUT GRAND SAIGON CENTRE - MY WORST ACCOMODATION EXPERIENCE EVER - SCAM? You read and decide: My wife and I travel around the world 6 months a year. I am Genius 3 with Booking.com. We had our worst experience renting an apartment with Grand SaiGon Centre. Some examples of their attitude towards the guests: 1 - I was double charged for my room on 9 April 24 and until today, 25 April 24 I have not received my refund. Note that Booking.com was informed 3 times of the double charge but has done anything, to date, to refund my money even if Booking.com says that feedback of complaints will be given in 24 hours. 2 - The apartments of Grand SaiGon Centre have major wear and tear and poor maintenance & cleaning. On my check in, my wife had to move to 3 different apartments because the apartments were not suitable for our stay, in particular because the apartments did not comply with the information included in Booking.com. major problems : electrical wiring for lights and air conditioning were exposed and not inside conducts or the walls: excessive mould in the apartments; damage curtains not allowing gets to sleep beyond 5 AM due to hot sun: apartments not properly cleaned after previous guests and many areas had accumulation of dirt and mould; the apartments did not have cleaning cloths and chemicals: the apartments had different types of plates and cutlery, demonstrating that they were left there by previous guests. Note that we accepted the third apartment for our stay not because it was OK but because we were not in the business of stay moving apartments but trying to have holidays 3 - In Vietnam, hosts need to register the passport of guests and send to the poilice. In our case the hosts failed to inform the Police and Police Officers knocked our door at 1AM to ask passport. The Police Officers asked us to move to a hotel. In addition to this, after the episode with the Police , the host register us but failed to include all days of our stay.

nice staff

Even though it's not the same as the picture, it's still similar to the room type and my stay is still very comfortable

This is the second time I have chosen this place, and it was still a great experience. The apartment is spacious, the service is great and it's like a modern house full of everything. I can walk just a few minutes to enjoy the food, wine and nightlife of Saigon people. What deserves praise is that the service staff is very dedicated when I need help. I will definitely continue to choose this place again when I come to Vietnam.

Swimming pool was actually nice.

Oh boy, here we go. I have never given any rating below 6, but this one truely deserves this rating. The check-in was without a problem.(aside from the language barrier, but got around it using Google Translate). The moment we walked through the door, I have noticed problems with the room. The tv remote was smashed, sheets were definitely wasn't changed (bunch of long black hair were present) and it was dirty/had whiteish spots on it there was a huge crack on the floor (which I kept tripping). The couch by the window had black marks on it and it was extremely dusty. Bathroom was not clean either, and the tiles and faucets had (what I presume) black mold on it. The list goes on and on. The cherry on top was, I told there were no toilet paper and hand soap in the bathroom. When I asked it, I only got the toilet paper, and got the answer "Sorry, there is no soap" (via google translate of course. I tried to upload the video I took of the room when I checked in, but booking doesn't allow video uploads. TLDR: Try it at your own risk.

nice staff

nothing

Many times I've been here and it's really good

The common room was great and big. The staff was very friendly, and the location was very good. I had a nice time there, and I will definitely go there again.

The owner is very friendly, the scenery here is very friendly, the boys here are very beautiful

nice staff, good room with nice coditions

good room with good coditions

I easily checked in without anyone, the check-in procedure was fast.

Checked in really late: around 11pm.

A bit noisy. Too dirty. The room has nothing in common with what has been listed on the Booking. I payed at the place using my credit card and has been promised to change checkout date. The dates has not been changed. And I was charged for the whole stay via booking. The property is not answering.

Nice location, nice pool, nice view.

Place could have needed a deep clean. The pictures weren't really what we got, different older couch etc.

Nothing

We chose this place based on its appealing photos and prime position. However, we left immediately upon arrival and sought alternative accommodation. The premise was filthy, emitting a foul odor, and lacked hygiene. Hairs littered the floor alongside discarded plaster, and the bathroom was repulsive, with mold present. We informed the property of our departure through WhatsApp, their preferred communication channel, citing the deplorable conditions. Our attempt to secure a refund through Booking was unsuccessful. The property contested our departure notification, stating no grounds for a refund existed, and Booking did not assist, resulting in charges for two accommodations—a disappointing outcome. In summary, avoid this at all costs. While some units may appear tidy and inviting, the risk of being assigned an uninhabitable one is high, as evidenced by the pictures we are sharing here, including the documented message exchange confirming our immediate departure. Ho Chi Minh City boasts numerous great accommodations; this is not among them, and if you want to avoid being in our position and dealing with scammers, go somewhere else.

Great location, and it was nice having a 7/11 and another mini mart just downstairs. The bed was comfortable as well. The staff were prompt with replying, but only AFTER check in, and the WhatsApp group was very handy, they can definitely be fast workers! But unfortunately would NEVER book again.

PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING! CHECK IN: Through booking.com I was told that the property “would do their best to accomodate” for a 12pm check in, rather than the 2pm (which would’ve been totally fine if they couldn’t) but due to this exact message it was my impression, and by no further message from the property, that I assumed this could potentially work out. I arrived at the residence around 12:15pm. No staff available. Of course staff need breaks, but there were no clear signs as to when staff would return, nor was there a sign that saying they were having a break, this was just my assumption! I had to walk around the lobby and luckily found a very small sign on a back door (not close to reception) that said something about coming back at 1pm (which again, I had to assume this meant the reception staff as there was no indication of who it referred to). I ended up messaging the property, and they were prompt to reply thankfully! I still had to wait till 1pm to check in, and was guided by a member kindly to my apartment. However, as they dropped me off to the apartment, they then told me they required an additional 100,000 VND for an earlier check in! This isn’t such a large amount, but for me it was the principle of not mentioning this prior and only telling me then and there. THE APARTMENT: Absolutely disgusting. As soon as I walked in it smelt like cat urine. Wallpaper was falling apart, mould was in the cupboards, walls, kitchen, bathroom etc! I later noticed that the AC was leaking and dripping down the wall, which probably explained the horrible smell. The toilet was absolutely wet from cleaning, to which I dried off & sat down, but when I went to stand up all of my skin stuck to the toilet seat! I have no idea what they used to clean the toilet if that happened! The shower looked like it had communal use by the looks of it. I didn’t want to touch anything in the apartment at all, even the cutlery in the drawers was disgusting.

The location was ideal for my 3 Night/2 Day visit as I was up & out early on both days. Bed was semi comfy

Where to begin! Having arrived 2 hours later than expected, I was met by a young guy who then proceeded to tell me the apartment was not ready, so we must go to another apartment. I immediately queried this, explained that I was not happy, & said I would cancel booking. Funnily enough, the apartment was then ready once he had been on the phone for 10 mins. I was then taken to an apartment, which was quite clearly NOT what I had booked as it looked more like a students bedsit & was clearly a last min workaround. I felt I was trying to be SCAMMED/CONNED, & got the impression they overbook & try to then palm you off with substandard accom. I stayed as I had been travelling now for 8 weeks & nearing the end of my travels. Besides, it's hard to argue when no English spoken & I was planning to be out sightseeing over my stay. The apartment was shabby bordering dirty as certainly had not cleaner in & 2 awful cheap towels left, The rooftop pool is nice, but about 4 loungers from the 100s in the complex want to use it. Gym access is not available as fingerprint registered required for permanent residents. My advice is DO NOT use these to saty as you certainly won't get what you think you are getting. This is the only accommodation from 8 weeks travelling where I will be submitting an official complaint to Booking.com.

Location is pretty good. Many convenient stores near by and local restaurants too.

I could not use gym and pool in the building I stayed. I had to walk 5-10mins from the apartment and went to the other building with different card key. I could not use them on the first day. The host was not answering my messages and calls for hrs and then sorted it out later.

Very pleasamt to stay. All good.

Great location with a 7-11 downstairs. Close to district one which is just over the bridge and takes minutes to get to by car.

The rooms were very small and did not look like photos. The bathroom wasn't very clean it was still wet and some parts were still dirty. We got charged an additional "holiday" surcharge for new years and new years eve after we checked in addition to our booking. We tried to dispute this since we booked the apartment via Booking.com and this wasn't mentioned on the site. The managers were very rude about this and told us to check out if we didn't pay for the surcharge which was 1.2 million VND. Sofabed was very uncomfortable and the mattress was uneven. During the middle of the night the sofabed collapsed and my son was in the ground with the bed on top of him. Worst stay ever. Fake photos, unclean bathroom, uncomfortable, rude management, extra holiday fee.

Gym and pool: really good. Wifi: fast feed. Location: easy to find. Staff helpful

The studio was spacious, and the view (18th floor) was beautiful. The swimming pool is great but impossible to find a spot to relax, only some chair or hard floor. Location is convenient

Not really clean, and, being an apartment, there is no possibility to drop the bags at the reception for a late check-out. Pictures are old.

Nothing. When I reached there for checking they gave me apartment at other location with 1 bathroom.

I was looking for 2 bathrooms and got only 1. If they can’t commit on apartment then they should have informed me earlier not the time of check in.

Comfortable, clean and good location.

Nice spot for eating in district 4. Pool and gym were great. Room was fine

Most expensive place we’ve stayed. Apartments let out for short stay I think, so no reception. We didn’t have enough towels, kept being told ‘tomorrow’ the extra one arrived at 10.30pm on our final night. Had to beg for toilet paper. Second time we had to buy it from the store because they wouldn’t give us any ( but didn’t say they wouldn’t) just not set up like any of the other places we’ve stayed have been, but a lot more expensive.

The apartment was modern and clean. The internet speed was super fast at 200mbp, which made it a perfect place to working online, the gym and pool were amazing too. This place was good value for money, I would recommend staying

Very disappointing. The photos are entirely misleading. I looked at staying in an Airbnb but decided to book a room here instead (which was more expensive) because the photos of the Saigon Centre made it look like an expensive hotel. Nope. Everything about this building feels like a hastily cleaned-up crime scene. There are hordes of people moving about at all hours (and partying, this is essentially a hostel). Banging noises and thin walls. The bed and couch were dirty, there was a crust of soap in the shower, and NO TOILET PAPER. When we mentioned the lack of toilet paper to our host (via text message) he said that he would drop by the following evening. Cool. Had to get our own paper. The best bit of the room was the tiny cockroaches crawling over our bags, through the kitchen sink, across the floor. I took a few photos of these in case anyone thinks I'm exaggerating.
