We loved our stay at bar harbor cottages. It was clean and quaint, with all the supplies needed for cooking.

The bed was super comfortable(memory foam with crisp sheets) and had really nice fluffy pillows that weren't too hard. Just perfect pillows. Also the AC worked great! Our cabin was almost too cold in the mornings!

So cute, clean, the people were so nice, I had way too many questions and he did not seem put out. They did our laundry for free. Fire every night was fun. It was easy to have our whole family together!

I can't even begin to explain how much our family enjoyed our time at Bar Harbor Cottages and Suites. The cottage was beautiful and had everything we needed, and the location was great. It's slightly out of town but you can walk to a bus stop approx. 15 minutes away to get buses in to town and to Acadia National Park. The hosts were really helpful with information about the area. We were really sad to leave.

Probably the best stay during our USA road trip! The cottages were pretty and nicely decorated, and I think they were spacious enough, except for the bathroom. The facility provides grills (charcoal and electric) and a bonfire, which was the highlight of our stay. The housekeeping is on demand but is not really needed, as new towels and coffee or other necessities are provided 24/7 in the main office. Additionally, the laundry was taken care of for us and even folded free of charge!!!

Smelly septic tank, keep the toilet door shut

They had nice shared spaces including a fire pit area and provided fire starters and wood to utilize them. They also had corn hole available. In addition they had grilling supplies available for use. They even offered to and did a couple of load of laundry for us during our week-long stay.

The only thing that wasn't ideal was the size of the bathroom of the cottage. It was quite cramped. That being said, I didn't anticipate a large bathroom in a cottage.

We really loved staying at the unique cottage. You could see the attention to detail - decor, cleanliness, and comfort. Peaceful and quiet setting. We’ll definitely be back!

Friendly staff, great location,

The cottage was cosy and the property itself was easy to navigate, private, and quiet. The screened in porch gave us some privacy and also provided a place to let our dog nap in the afternoon. Location was great - close to several trailheads in Acadia as well as lots of great coffee shops and lobster pounds. The AC was WONDERFUL.

Laid back and easy. Check in was a breeze. Good location, just a short distance from downtown Bar Harbor. Great stay.

Very clean and well equipped cottages. Child and pet friendly. Exceptional staff and services - Joe was very responsive to inquiries. They even provided complimentary laundry service. We had a great time staying at Bar Harbor Cottages and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a comfortable vacation home that is close to Acadia NP.

Cute cottage located in a quieter area off the main road, convenient drive to the main Acadia attractions and downtown bar harbor, responsive and helpful host.

Organized facility, bed was very comfortable, cottage was clean, we had more towels available along with other items in a nearby storage room if needed. The cottage was cozy and comfortable.

The outdoor space was built to encourage renters to interact with each other but yet have privacy. ILoved the model to leave a clip board y the door giving you the details of what was expected. BEst part was the self service to towels coffee packs and other items you are usually chasing down a maid for. BEst part was Joe the owner. VEry accessible and friendly and went out of his way to be accommodating - gave us a ride without hesitation to return our rental card, took one of group back to retrieve a credit card she left behind and just a great guy

Joe and his staff made this stay the highlight of our entire road trip of Maine. The attention to detail of the cottage decor, the availability of games, grilling equipment, firewood etc. Everything about each cottage has something significant and memorable for the family or group staying there. It’s a 3 minute drive to the entrance of Acadia, a 9 minute drive to the grocery store and off a quiet road outside of the overly busy Bar Harbor. I was excited to stay here since I booked it and my family (especially my 7 year old daughter) were all extremely sad to leave. Joe thank you for the hospitality and memories, we will definitely be back and will be telling all of our friends and family about this lovely establishment. Cottage #3 will always remain with us.

The cottage was just perfect. We were two couples and had an amazing time. The kitchen was sufficient to cook. We really enjoyed the barbecue area and table in front of our cottage. One day it was really cold outside, but the heating worked perfectly. Also the location to the Arcadia national park was great. Highly recommend!

Property was great, great location. The only issue we had, which is not much. The cold water nozzle in the showers was a little tight and had a hard time turning it.

Loved the individualized cottage, was perfect for our needs. We used the campfire supplies as well one night which was really convenient. It’s a pretty quick drive into town from the cottages!

Better description of the room. My husband’s shoulders hit the walls on either side of the toilet. Our cottage was not meant for taller people.Had we known, we would have never booked the room.

Lage war sehr gut, um mit dem Auto alles zu erkunden. Sehr sauber, Küche gut ausgestattet. Tee/Kaffee steht kostenlos zur Verfügung. Toster könnte noch zusätzlich da sein.

Die Schlafräume mit je 1 Queensbett waren sehr klein. Koffer passten nicht rein und das Bett hat fast den ganzen Raum ausgefüllt. Insgesamt für 4 Erwachsene mehr als eng.

We loved EVERY SINGLE THING about our cottage AND the in keepers.

#12 didn't have a screened in porch which is one reason I liked the listing. I booked 8 months in advance so that was disappointing

We had a wonderful experience. The cottage was quaint, adorable, and full of charm. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and at ease. The cottage was incredibly comfortable, with thoughtful touches throughout that made it feel like home away from home. The surroundings were quiet and peaceful... perfect for a relaxing getaway.

There was nothing I didn't like. However, if I could suggest one small improvement, it would be to offer a light grab-and-go breakfast option... something simple like pastries, fruit, or yogurt. It's certainly not a dealbreaker, just a little extra touch that could make the mornings even nicer.

The cabin was wonderful. It was decorated nicely and very clean. When we were there it was cold, and the heating worked great. They had nice flowers outside and there were plenty of places to sit outside.

Bathroom was ridiculous small. I am tall, larger size fit and active man. I couldn't lean over to wipe my ass. To stand and pee i had to stand sideways and lean towards the toilet. Shower was just as bad.

Die Lage. Nicht weit zum Arcadia Nationalpark. Es war sauber und ordentlich. Auch die Küche war gut bestückt.

Etwas klein die Beiden Schlafzimmer. Die Koffer mussten wir im Wohnbereich auf den Boden legen.

Nice to have 2 rooms, living room and kitchen for less than 2 hotel rooms in the area--with a full kitchen and living room.

Good location. Was quaint and liked the open office to get what you needed and really appreciated the books on the area. Sheets were good and clean. Floor clean. Lot of utensils for cooking. Even scissors. Loved the large fridge

Bath way to small. Could use more shelves. Bed ridiculously high. No room to open a second suitcase. Little dresser was old and stinky. The buoys on the outside are cute for decor but when the wind blows at night you can hear them banging all night. Didnt leave heat on when gone since it was so antiquated was afraid it would start a fire. Never tried the ac. Kitchen stove was updated but even on high cooked slow. And no prep room really. I understand these are old and they tried to make due with what limited space they had but the bath alone would be a no go and lets talk towels. First night we had great large towels the rest of the stay it was like a shammy cloth. Please invest in more decent towels.

It was very cute, had great views and was tastefully furnished, it was clean and the linen provided was really good, and the beds were comfortable.

There was no room really to open suitcases in the bedrooms, the shower was poor, and the oven was inadequate. We had booked to self cater for two days and there were 4 of us! However, please be assured it was a fun stay, two nights in the middle of a road trip that covered many miles and several types of accommodation.

The location was great and the cottage was very cute. Loved the retro appliances and it was very cozy.

The shower head system needs to be replaced with something a little more substantial. This system looked like it came out of a motor home. Also... shampoo and conditioner would be great in the cottage.

Freezing inside when we got there. Two out of the four small space heaters didn't work, so called the management number, and he came over...took the non functional heaters and brought us two that worked...took awhile to warm up the cabin. Bedrooms were very small and tight. Bathroom very small and narrow. Floor tilted. No Kleenex. Very expensive to stay here.

This place is was amazing, cute, clean, cottages. I asked them where was a close place to do laundry. They said they did it for their guests. Dropped off in the afternoon and had it back by next day. Full kitchenette, microwave and coffee maker. The “office” was open all day where you could refresh your linens or complimentary toiletries and coffee. Staff was attentive to customer needs and offered any assistance needed.

Exceptional for 1938 cottage.

The facilities were very well maintained and the staff (Liz) was exceptional. Joe was very quick to respond to any requests and was very polite to deal with. The recommendation to nearby Hadley Point Beach was a great tip.

We much preferred the size of the fridge in cabin 4 as opposed to the small fridge in cabin 7.

Very quaint cottages with personality and lots of thoughtful details. Lots of similar « cottage » properties nearby, but none were as warm and homey feeling as this one. Joe was very thoughtful with pre-stay phone call and text. Very easy check-in process and loved the « self-serve » amenities like extra towels and ice bags.

Hard to pull suitcases across gravel and grass. Paver stones or brick walkways to the cabins would make it easier to get from parking lot. Felt like I was tearing up the grass with my roller bag.

It was so cute and cozy….quiet and peaceful. The little kitchen was completely stocked with bottle openers/dishes/utensils/mugs/glassware/cookware (even scissors which you never think you’ll need but always do). It had a regular sized coffee maker, filters and coffee (there were even little creamers in the fridge). Beds were warm, towels were soft, and everything was very clean.

The shower stall was small.

The place was adorable, so clean, and Joe was incredibly helpful and responsive during our stay.

Super cool little spot to stay. Everything was very nice, new and quaint. Plenty of appliances to utilize my girlfriend was constantly exclaiming how cute everything was with the matching appliances and the overall space. Very private no one coming into your room for new towels you handle all of that yourself and it’s very easy to do.

The value is great I have nothing bad to say.

The little garden with barbeque facilities was fantastic; we spent every afternoon either out in the sun or on our little screened-in porch looking outside. We moved the two chairs and small table out onto the porch, which made a little more space inside, and was perfect for breakfasts. It was very peaceful, and a wonderful place to come back to after a long hike in Acadia. Also, it was nice that you could freely exchange towels when needed, and also pick up extra kitchen supplies at any time from the reception.

All was great, no complaints at all.

Absolutely loved the extras ,with fire pit ,wood, grill, and lobster pot. And the extras with dish soap , scrubby and coffee!!! Also the large coffee maker. We loved the screened in porch. And me I love flowers what a nice touch to all cabins. Thank you for a wonderful stay!! Also so much information for the area in the office.

Can't think of anything I didn't like , maybe a hook by door for keys when you come in .

Ein sehr gepflegtes Gelände mit charmanten kleinen Hütten. Schöne und vor allem ruhige Lage mit Blick zur Bucht. Das Team ist super freundlich und kümmert sich bestens um alles. Danke! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Beste: der kleine Kolibri, der uns jeden Tag besucht hat 😍

The location was close to Bar Harbor and Acadia but was still removed from the crowds. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful in answering any of our questions. The property was clean and had everything + more that you could need. The cottages felt surprisingly roomy for the 5 of us and were so cute. We loved staying on this property! We especially loved the fire pit and complimentary wood.

I loved the quaint little cabins. And the location was perfect. Everyone was nice and friendly.

As long as you realize these cabins are older and small there’s nothing to complain about.

The cottage was adorable and relaxing. There was easy access to supplies in a 'help yourself' fashion. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. The area was gorgeous and away from the hustle and bustle, especially on Labor Day weekend. There were games and grills and chipmunks and humming birds. My morning walk down my the water was unforgettable as well. We will be back. The proximity to BH downtown was close enough for groceries, kayaking, and easy access to Acadia!! Beat anniversary trip so far.

Location is a 10 minute drive from Bar Harbor. Even though there is a free shuttle, the bus stop is a 25 minute walk away.

Proprietari super cortesi e velocissimi nella risposta anche via chat booking. Il posto si trova a 15 min dal Visitor Center dell Acadia National park e a ca. 10 min dal centro di Bar Harbor quindi super comodo per vedere tutta l'isola

Nous avions un cottage pour 5. Il est bien conçu, très agréable et très propre. C'etait omme si on était au camping avec le confort d'une petite maison.

Well-appointed with everything you could imagine wanting during our 3-day stay. Friendly, unobtrusive service with gentle reminder about checkout. They even washed our bag of dirty laundry, no extra charge!

Should have booked a 4th day!
