Check in took a bit long awaiting for verification of the booking from someone offsite. Staff onsite should have a better way of verifying since they are the ones on the ground

Reviewed May 25, 2026Everything was perfect, the duvet was just a little too thin for the winter months, however you could make use of the aircon on the heating mode, however I don't prefer sleeping with the aircon on. Suzie the manager was super sweet and really accomodating. I would also just mention that a low car would struggle to get up the drive way as it is rather steep and may scratch the lower cars, we went in my friends car, so that was fine for us but I think it is worth a mention. If ever I need to stay in the area, we will definitely stay there again.

Reviewed Dec 6, 2025Home away from home in a very nice and quiet location where you have your peace of mind while enjoying your stay @Home Guest House. Bring your friends, bring your family bring your if you wanna have peace of mind and enjoy your stay in and around Rustenburg.
Sadly what I did not like was the size of the swimming pool in pictures it looked a bit big for one to cool off te scorching sun of Rustenburg but you only had to dip in your legs 🦵 as you won't enjoy your swimming. Otherwise all was as expected and the staff made their best to make us feel at home and the breakfast they took their time to prepare quality and palatable meal. Thanks very much @Home Guest House until we meet again.

I was dissatisfied with the phone service at the lodge. The lady at the desk responded in an unfriendly and undermining manner, which was not welcoming. This attitude could potentially discourage future guests from choosing to stay here.

I didn't like the security system, there was no overnight security guard, we were attacked by thieves in the middle of the night inside our room

Reviewed Mar 7, 2024Every room is charming and full of amenities- nice comfortable bed, beautiful decor, full water container, refrigerator, kettle, etc. It is quiet and comfortable, with air/con. The grounds are immaculate and relaxing. The breakfast room is charming and the food is delicious. The staff take excellent care of you.
The only critique is the wifi signal is weaker if you are booked into the rooms in the back. It is adequate but can go off/on. If you sit on the porch in front of your room, it becomes very adequate. It also depends on how many guests are booked. I have stayed in Room 8 which is in the main building and had no problems with wifi. I have stayed in room 10 two times and noted the wifi is noticeably weaker there. Adequate but intermittent.
