Sehr schöne sehr saubere Unterkunft. Sehr nettes Personal. Wunderschöne Sicht!!! Liegt außerhalb Bonn Ella, ist jedoch schnell in der Stadt. Der Besitzer fährt einem mit dem Tuk Tuk in die Stadt und holt wieder ab. Immer sehr gute Kommunikation.

Prachtige en rustige ligging net buiten Ella met een fantastisch uitzicht. Hele aardige en behulpzame eigenaren. Lekker ontbijt en een prima prijs kwaliteit verhouding. Met de tuk tuk word je in 5 min naar de doorgaande weg gebracht, leuk!

Koffers kun je in je kamer niet zo makkelijk kwijt.

A Little Piece of Heaven at H3 Hilltop Heaven Our stay at H3 Hilltop Heaven was absolutely wonderful and one of the highlights of our time in Ella. The setting is simply beautiful — peaceful, quiet and surrounded by lush greenery, with gorgeous views and a wonderfully calm atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle. What really made our stay special were the hosts, Chathurika and Asith. They are such a warm, welcoming and genuinely lovely husband-and-wife team. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they went out of their way to make us feel at home. The breakfasts were delicious and beautifully prepared, giving us the perfect start to each day. Chathurika and Asith were also incredibly helpful with suggestions about what to see and do in the area. They took the time to help us plan and fine-tune our itinerary, which made exploring Ella so much easier and more enjoyable. We especially loved the beautifully manicured garden, filled with flowers and tropical plants. You can really see the care and love that has gone into creating this peaceful little haven — with the gorgeous bougainvillea being a particular highlight. It was lovely to see how much pride our wonderful hosts take in their home and garden. If you are looking for somewhere quiet, beautiful and genuinely welcoming, with wonderful hosts, delicious food and a stunning natural setting, we cannot recommend H3 Hilltop Heaven highly enough. A truly special place, made even more special by Chathurika and Asith. ❤️🌺🌿 Thank you for making our stay so memorable — we would love to return!

Location is lovely, it's very peaceful, food is delicious, Chatrikar and Asit - husband and wife who run the guest house are lovely people.its easy to get I to Ella, yet so much nicer staying here than in the town. I cannot recommend it enough

We spent two days at this hotel and had a wonderful stay. The hotel is beautiful, spotless, and incredibly peaceful. It was perfect for our family of four. The view over the tea plantations and the surrounding valley is simply breathtaking. Although it’s about 15 minutes from the center of Ella, it’s very easy to get there using the hosts’ tuk-tuk service. The hosts were exceptionally kind and attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Breakfast was delicious, especially the homemade honey. We highly recommend this lovely little hotel to anyone planning to visit Ella.

The location is a bit outside of Ella (10 minutes with the tuk-tuk), but this is great as it means you are away from the hustle and bustle of Ella. Nestled in the hills, in the middle of tea plantations, with nothing but nature surrounding you - a dream! The staff (chathurika and asith) are so loving and attentive! Tuk-tuk rides to and from the hotel, food, laundry - they left no wishes open! Breakfast was a lovely spread which could be customized as needed. We made use of the dinner service as well which was simple but delicious We had the family room (2 interconnected rooms) for a family of four and liked it so much that we ended up staying 2 extra nights!

The approach road is not for the faint of heart, and not all taxi drivers are willing to go down/up but we always used the tuktuk service and had no complaints!

Alles sehr sauber und gemütlich. Die Gastgeber waren total hilfsbereit und haben alles organisiert. Das Frühstück und auch das Abendessen waren liebevoll zubereitet und sehr frisch und lecker. Sehr zu empfehlen!

The service by Chathurika and Asith was incredible. It was very clean and quiet in the middle of tea plants and palms. The food was very good. Call the hotel in case you arrived there by taxi the location ist hard to find.

The hosts were very helpful, considered and made the stay very enjoying. The homestay itself is located about a 15 minute scooter ride from Ella. It is very quite and peaceful and you have a good view of the valley below. I would definitely stay here again.

Nous avons séjourné avec nos deux enfants et tout était parfait ! L’hôtel se situe à l’écart d’Ella, à 10mn en tuktuk( l’hôte peut vous y amener ) , au milieu de nul part , dans un cadre verdoyant et calme . On se réveille aux chants des oiseaux … Le petit déjeuner était assez copieux et la chambre impeccable. Les hôtes sont des gens adorables, toujours prêts à aider et à rendre le séjour agréable .

Wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer mit Kühlschrank, Doppelbett und 2 Einzelbetten (alle mit Mückennetzen) sowie ein recht neu saniert wirkendes Bad. In den Hauptzimmern gab es eine Dachlüftung, keine Klimaanlage, was während unserem Aufenthalt zu einem angenehmen Klima geführt hat, es war nachts nicht zu warm im Zimmer. Das Frühstück bestand aus lokalen Gerichten und es konnten zusätzliche Gerichte bestellt werden (nicht inklusive). Auch konnte man Abends nach frühzeitiger Anmeldung dort essen, was uns vor allem am Anreisetag bei starkem Regen davor gerettet hat, nochmal nach Ella zu müssen (gute 6km). Das Essen war immer lecker. Von der Terrasse aus hat man auch einen wundervollen Blick in die Ferne auf little Adams Peak! Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und raus aus dem trubeligen Ortszentrum, aber man braucht mit einem TukTuk gut ca. 15 Minuten um dorthin zu kommen. Besonders hervorheben muss man die Freundlichkeit der Gastgeber, welche sich extrem gut um uns gekümmert haben. Die Gastgeberin, welche nebenbei noch einen Hauptjob hat, stand uns per WhatsApp immer mit Rat zur Seite, während ihr Mann uns ebenfalls gut betreute und regelmäßig mit seinem Tuk Tuk an verschiedene Orte gefahren hat, das ist nicht im Preis inklusive, aber zu einem guten lokalen Satz. Auch gibt es einen Waschservice gegen Entgelt, welchen wir einmal genutzt haben, Trocknung im Trockner ist möglich, bevorzugt werden die Klamotten jedoch in die Sonne gehangen. Wir sind gerne dort gewesen und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

Die Geräuschkulisse der umliegenden Natur kann nachts durch die Dachlüftung etwas laut werden, wenn man einen eher leichten Schlaf hat kann man häufiger wach werden. Wir hatten Ohrstöpsel dabei. Das ist jedoch rein subjektiv und keine Kritik, nur ein Hinweis.

Wspaniałe miejsce. Mieliśmy okazję zatrzymać się w świeżo wyremontowanym pokoju. Pokój był zadbany, czysty. Śniadania wyśmienite i gospodarze przemili i zawsze chętni do pomocy.

We had an absolutely perfect stay! The accommodation is a lovely family-run homestay with a very new and modern room. Although the room is on the smaller side, it has everything you need: a kettle, hairdryer, tea and coffee, and even a helpful booklet with nearby attractions and their distances from the homestay. This was very useful for planning our trips. Everything was exceptionally clean, modern, and well maintained. Hot water was always available once you figures out how the shower handle works. One of the biggest highlights is how peaceful the place is — it’s located high up in the mountains, making it incredibly quiet and relaxing. The views of the surrounding mountains are simply stunning. Getting around was also very convenient. We were able to rent a scooter directly through the homestay at a very affordable price and explore the area easily. There is also a tuk-tuk service available (driven by the owner) for fair prices if you don’t want to ride a scooter. However, the absolute highlight was the hosts. The couple running the homestay are extremely kind, welcoming, and helpful. They gave us many great tips, regularly checked in on us, and made us feel truly cared for throughout our stay. The food was another big plus. We ended up eating there every evening because the freshly prepared curry was so delicious. Everything is home-cooked, and you can choose from several dishes that are prepared fresh. Overall, this was a fantastic experience that we would happily repeat. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Die Gastgeber sind wahnsinnig herzlich und nett. Man fühlt sich sehr wohl bei der Familie. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und hatte alles was man an Komfort und Ausstattung braucht. Das Frühstück war lecker und die Aussicht dabei war auch top :) Die Lage ist etwas abseits, aber das fanden wir toll. Man konnte den Ort abseits des Trubels ideal genießen. Wenn wir zurück in Ella sind kommen wir auf jeden Fall wieder. Absolute Empfehlung :) Probiert den Honig der Familie, er ist echt gut. Vielen Dank für alles!

We stayed there for two nights, the rooms are clean, there is hot water. The views from the house are amazing, surrounded by the jungle and the sounds of the jungle. We had both breakfast and dinner there, it was the best rice and curry we had so far. Try their hinny it is delicious. They also offer Tuktuk services which is handy going for dinner into town.

One of the best places in the Ella area, with smooth ckimate and quite environment. Environment firendly location is so embrassing. Parking facilities is an additional value. Friendly and supprotve staff is always helpful.

The road to property is very difficult to reach by car given narrow roads but host will give provide tuk tuk ride to main road or places you want to go for a fee.

Красивый атмосферный гостевой дом среди чайных плантаций. Красивый вид из окна и балкона, где нам накрывали вкусные завтраки. Приветливые хозяева дома, всегда стараются помочь, очень гостеприимные. Есть горячая вода, которая очень актуальна в связи с месторасположением отеля (он в горах и в номере достаточно прохладно). Есть небольшой гараж, в котором можно оставить свой байк. Так же могут отвезти на тук-туке в Эллу за небольшую сумму— очень удобно.

Hosts were welcoming and friendly. I Enjoyed a delicious and plentiful Breakfast on the veranda overlooking trees and hills. Accommodation is set high amongst the trees. Room was spacious enough and bed was very comfortable.

Shower area needs to be non slip as tiled floor was very slippery when showering.

Die Lage etwas außerhalb von Ella und abseits vom Lärm ist genial und sorgt sofort für Entspannung. Schon die Straße zur Unterkunft bringt einen mit dem Panorama der Gegend zum Staunen. Die Unterkunft selbst ist sehr schön und sauber mit einem wunderbaren Garten und tollem Ausblick auf die Berge. Die Hosts sind außerdem super nett und hilfsbereit und haben jede Menge Tipps für Aktivitäten und anderes. Was wir außerdem super fanden, war der Roller, den wir für unseren Aufenthalt mieten konnten, um so die schöne Gegend auf eigene Faust zu erkunden. Wir würden die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall wieder buchen!

The views are spectacular, Especially from the balcony while eating the delicious breakfast that was made for us. All the staff were super friendly and helpful.

No fridge in the room and the steps leading from the road to the room can be a little dangerous especially at night. I guess that is the downside to being in the hills and getting those amazing views.

Das kleine Hotel liegt außerhalb der belebten Stadt wunderschön in der Natur zwischen Teepflanzen und tropischen Blumen. Die Aussicht ist fantastisch! Die Zimmer sind gemütlich, die modernen Badezimmer groß. Die Vermieter sind sehr bemüht, den Aufenthalt zu einem besonderen Erlebnis zu machen: Gutes, schön angerichtetes Essen, Ausflugtipps, Shuttleservice mit dem TukTuk. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und würden diese Unterkunft wieder buchen.

For those who appreciate a quiet environment and value a genuine atmosphere, this is a gem. With only three guest rooms in a newly built colonial-style villa, this boutique hotel is located secluded on a hillside and offers miles of mountain views. The environment is simple with tropical vegetation and a small tea plantation. A delightful and service minded host couple strives to provide high personal service.

It’s amazing location as it’s in really quiet place. One young couple is taking care of this place and they are really nice and helpful. This is still new business and they value any feedback given as they are doing their best to meet guests expectations. Breakfast was amazing!

It’s a bit slow internet, sometimes doesn’t work. If you need to work during the trip, don’t really rely on it.

Quiet rural place among the lush nature, tea plantation, singing birds and spectacular views and the opportunity to observe glow of a sun rise and sun set. The accommodation is quite new and with proper care. Good breakfast.

We got the room which was not matching the description on booking.com ( not private balcony, not two beds but one, no TV); it was on the ground floor next to the exit, which not always helped to feel privacy. There was no place for our clothes, would be nice to have at least a chair. There are only instant coffee and tea bags. For our almost a month trip through Sri Lanka we got the most expensive beer and water: 1320 and 220 accordingly ( for 0,5 litres) including 10% service. Very often we got the feeling that we were not heard or understood by the hostess. The answers didn’t relate to our questions at all.

Good facilities, nice quiet location, feeling like family, great food, just an overall amazing experience.

I strongly advise against booking in advance—you will likely end up paying much more than necessary. - Limited Breakfast Options: The included breakfast is surprisingly restrictive. You are only allowed to choose one option for both guests, meaning you cannot order different dishes or beverages. For the price we paid, this is a major drawback—what if one person prefers a different meal? - Overly Attentive Service: While the staff was clearly trying to ensure guest satisfaction, at times, their efforts felt a bit excessive, which slightly affected the overall experience. - Expensive Tuk-Tuk Rides: The hotel offers tuk-tuk rides to the city, but the cost can quickly add up if you need multiple trips. What they don’t tell you is that there’s a public bus running every 30 minutes from the main road, costing only 50 rupees—a far more budget-friendly option.

It is a beautiful hidden treasure managed by an amazing young couple. Beautiful Hause with a beautiful garden surrounded with tee plants. Fantastic breakfast at the Balkony with a very nice view to the hills. One of us had a birthday, they woke up early in the morning to get a birthday cake and made us a surprise. It was very nice and touching :)

Beautifully styled house set in a tea plantation in the mountains. Quite and away from the town of Ella, ideal to relax. Everything was very clean and the breakfast was delicious.

Amazing place to stay! It is all new and super clean. The family running the place is very nice and always happy to help out with information or whatever you need. It is near to Ella and great place to go hiking around the area. You can walk to Ella, but they also have tuktuk service. The house and surroundings are beautiful, hilltop with tea plantation and it has an amazing view into the green. Another thing to point out is the amazing breakfast! Soooo yummy and a lot of different options. Everyone can find something here!

The extremely clean accommodation is beautifully situated in the middle of tea plantations and offers a great starting point for hikes around Ella. We enjoyed walking to the village, but there is also a tuk tuk service for an extra charge. Our hosts were very nice and accommodating. The breakfast was incredibly tasty and varied and was even prepared vegan on request. The view at breakfast is great. We would love to come back!
