Unglaublich tolle Lage, wunderbare Aussicht, toller Pool mit grandiosem Blick. Sehr nettes Personal. Tolle Zimmer mit ganz viel Licht, Ruhe und schönem Ausblick. Wunderschöner Garten.

Amazing experience!

I really enjoyed my stay here. The views were beautiful, and the balcony was a great place to sit and take in the surroundings. The room was fairly basic, but it was clean and comfortable. Breakfast had less variety than some of the other places we stayed, but the eggs were very tasty, and I loved the fresh fruits from the garden. One of the nicest touches was the property itself, especially the beautiful orange trees and the greenery around the hotel. The location is a little away from the buzz of Ella, which makes it peaceful and relaxing, but it’s still very convenient — only around a 15-minute drive from the town and major attractions. Overall, a lovely choice if you want great views and a quieter stay while still being close enough to everything Ella has to offer.

A secluded location and lovely to enjoy the Mountain View’s and lovely birds and gardens.

The steps to walk up to the room, however, that was the reason we got such fabulous views.

The location. Stunning views over Little Adam’s Peak from a lovely pool. Peace away from the busyness of Kandy, only a short tuk tuk ride away with their lovely in-house driver Asfaak who was a great guide when we visited places. Good food, friendly staff and luxurious room.

A little overpriced compared to luxury in other areas but Ella is an expensive place. Vegetarian choices a little limited.

It was a haven from the craziness of Ella. The view was breathtaking and the breakfast definitely something to get up for. The staff are really lovely, particularly the gardeners who always had a smile on their faces and a happy ‘hello’.

All the towels could do with a refresh. The pool towels had brown marks on them and the room towels felt old.

Absolutely loved my stay at Chill Ville, View Point Hotel! Everything was absolutely perfect — from the beautiful location and stunning views to the hospitality and attention to detail. The whole experience was wonderful and truly exceeded my expectations. What made my stay even more special was the lovely surprise on my birthday: the team surprised me with a delicious birthday cake! 🎂❤️ Such a thoughtful gesture that I really appreciated and will remember. Wir hatten hier eine fantastische Zeit. Der atemberaubende Ausblick, die Ruhe, das Essen, der Blue Butterfly Tea, das Frühstück, der frische Mangosaft, die angenehmen Menschen…sehr zu empfehlen.

I loved everything about Chill Ville. First and foremost is the stunning view down the valley towards the plains with Ella Rock behind. It is breathtaking and particularly good from our room which was room 1. We were delighted with the terrace and uninterrupted views. The room itself was huge with a massive and very comfortable bed. Really effective but quiet aircon, and a clearly very recently upgraded bathroom. It was lovely. The food in the restaurant was also great and as a result we ended up eating there every night. Some people have mentioned in reviews that it is outside of Ella but this was a huge positive because it was so quiet and relaxed. Central Ella is a brilliant place but it is pretty hectic and not somewhere I would like to spend a lot of time, whereas Chill Ville is close enough to easily go into town using the hotels tuk tuk service but also far enough away to be very very chilled! Far and away the best thing about the hotel are the wonderful staff, particularly the waiters in the restaurant who were lovely and so friendly.

Enorme coup de coeur pour ce petit hotel dont la vue est a couper le souffle. La chambre tres confortable et ultra propre avec grande terrasse perdue entre les plantations de the- on peut meme apercevoir des dames qui font le cueillette le matin- avec egalement une vue grandiose. Nous avons teste le restaurant un midi et un soir. Service impeccable et plats absolument delicieux. Le buffet du petit dejeuner change d'un jour à l'autre pour proposer une diversité de mets. La piscine est tres jolie et l'ensemble du personnel adorable. Nous reviondrons!!!

The hotel is exceptionnal with a breathtaking view. The staff is professionnal and kind. The rooms are incredible with a fantastic view wheb you wake up. Do not hesitate to book there if you happen to go to Ella.

Fantastische locatie, zeer vriendelijk personeel, lekker ontbijt en lunch van de kaart. Mooie kamer, goede bedden, goede airco en wifi. Ligt ruimt kwartier rijden van centrum Ella, er staan tuk tuks klaar die je tegen betaling brengen en weer halen (via whatsapp doorgeven als je gehaald wilt worden)

Tout était superbe : la vue, la chambre, la propreté, la nourriture et le staff ! Nous avons passé un excellent séjour.

If we had to have one criticism, it would be that it is slightly out the way. However, the hotel staff will arrange tips into Ella for you so not a problem.

The location

The breakfast options are minimal They kept very basic breakfast .There is no fish or meat only egg omelette I expected atleast a live hopper station to my kids which was not there. And there is no dressing table available in the hotel.Intercom did not work. I did not feel its a four star hotel during my stay

We verbleven twee nachten in Chille Ville. We waren er heel goed ontvangen. Onze kamer (room 5) was een echt pareltje met een van de mooiste uitzichten ooit. Er is een restaurant om heel de dag door a la carte te kunnen bestellen. Een mooie setting, vriendelijke mensen én super kwalitatief eten voor zeer scherpe prijzen! Daarom gingen we niet buiten het hotel om te eten: van 2x ontbijt tot 3x lunch en 2x diner, alles was uitmuntend. Het zwembad is mooi maar wel zeer koud. Enige nadeel is de houten vloer rond het zwembad die hier en daar wat loskomen maar dit is normaal met de warmte. Het hotel heeft eigen tuktuks en drivers die je graag overal rondbrengen. We hebben genoten!

Location is a bit far from town, about 15min by tuktuk. However tuktuks are available at the hotel and views make up for it.

De lokatie is echt waanzinnig. Prachtig uitzicht! Personeel is super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het hele team stond 24/7 voor ons klaar. Wij zouden deze accomodatie zeker aanbevelen!

Die Anlage liegt ruhig und etwa 15 Minuten mit einem Tuktuk entfernt vom quirligen Ella. Unser erstes Ferienhaus hat uns wirklich ausgesprochen gut gefallen, war sehr komfortabel mit atemberaubenden Blick. Das zweite Zimmer (Familienzimmer), in das wir aufgrund einer spontanen Verlängerung unseres Aufenthaltes wechseln mussten, hat nicht so gut gefallen wie ersteres. Die Anlage insgesamt ist aber sehr ansprechend. Der Pool war toll mit schönem Blick (teilweise war das Wasser etwas schmutzig). Das Essen im Restaurant hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt, das Personal war stets freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir würden wiederkommen.

Chill Ville Ella offers absolutely breath-taking views and is easily one of the most scenic places to stay in Ella. The staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and went out of their way to help with everything we needed. They also arranged all our sightseeing and local transport seamlessly, making our stay completely hassle-free. Highly recommended!

Lo que más gustó fueron las vistas de la habitación. Amanecíamos con el valle frente a la cama, con los sonidos de los pájaros, todo muy idílico. El espacio dentro del bungalow era magnífico. Aprovechamos la mañana para estar en la piscina y fue estupendo. Las vistas son espectáculares, el restaurante junto a la piscina tambien.

El acceso al hotel era complicado con una pendiente muy elevada. El desayuno era algo básico y con poca variedad

The breakfast has limited choice (no meat, no cereals for kids). The pool is not heated, so was a bit cold. Steep and uneven paths and lots of steps - not suitable for people with mobility issues or very young children (not pram suitable). Rooms are quite dark, lighting could be improved.

Ich kann gar nicht in Worte fassen, wie gut mir die Unterkunft gefallen hat. Es war einfach perfekt. Es ist sehr ruhig gelegen, mitten in der Natur. Man hört Tiergeräusche. Die Aussicht ist atemberaubend. Das Zimmer ist schön gross und das Bad modern. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ich kann es aufjedenfall weiter empfehlen!!

Outstanding views, pool and gardens. I enjoyed watching the birds and wildlife from the veranda. Breakfast was laid out as a buffet on my first day but served on my second which felt a bit nicer.

Dieses Hotel befindet sich in einer absolut traumhaften Lage, der Blick aus dem Zimmer sowie dem Restaurant und Poolbereich ist wunderschön. Die gesamte Anlage ist schön angelegt (es gibt ein paar Treppen zu den Zimmern, aber davon kann man bei einem Hotel auf dem Berg wohl ausgehen). Das Personal war so nett und hilfsbereit, selbst spontane Ausflüge mit dem TukTuk waren kein Problem und vergleichsweise günstig. Das Frühstücksbuffet bietet eine sehr gute Auswahl, zu dem gibt es frisch zubereitete Eierspeisen. Die Zimmer/Anlage war sehr sauber, die Betten wirklich bequem und groß. Mit dem TukTuk sind es ca. 10-15 Minuten in die Stadt - dafür wohnt man aber fernab vom Trubel und kann die Aussicht in Ruhe genießen. Wir können das Hotel wirklich nur jedem empfehlen!

Tolle Lage mitten in der Natur.Das ganze Anwesen ist einfach schön und man gibt sich sehr Mühe die Aussenanlagen zu pflegen. Die Zimmer sind gross und haben spektakulären Ausblick. Auch der Pool und die Liegen sind toll. Frühstück bietet eine super Auswahl und die Speisen im Restaurant sind sehr fein. Alle Angestellten waren unheimlich aufmerksam und freundlich.

Location is more secluded (which is nice), but you pay 1500lkr one way to Ella. Electricity system seems a little precarious with table side lamps mildly flickering in my room.

A very seamless check in which is always appreciated. The room was large and beautiful with an amazing view from the terrace. The pool and view was stunning, and the breakfast was fantastic. We also ate dinner here which was very good. We had cocktails and snacks by the pool which were also very tasty. We loved our stay!

Super venligt personale. De er behjælpelige med alt, og alt kan i deres verden lade sig gøre. Tjenerne på restauranten er gode at snakke med og fortæller gerne om området eller hvad man nu ønsker. Vi tog toget til Ambewela og restauranten sørgede for at vi havde en frokost med på turen. Super hyggelige bungalows. Man føler virkelig at man har sit eget sted. Vi havde mange gode ture med hotellets egen tuktuk og chauffør. Han viste os gode seværdigheder og fungerede gerne som guide. Udsigten til bjergene er fænomenal.

Træterrassen omkring poolen trænger til fornyelse. Men det afholdte os ikke fra at bruge den meget.

The location is stunning. It is a peaceful place away from the Ella strip. The meals were outstanding (we stuck to the delicious Sri Lankan options). Tuks always available to take you into town...We only went in once...It was so lovely at the the hotel we did not want to leave. Lovely gardens and covered walkways, and a great pool deck. Stunning views all day long! Highly recommend for a quiet, peaceful escape.

The pool was not heated so too cold for us. Great for lounging.

Absolute heaven. The view and staff just made everything perfect. Our room was so comfortable. Food great. It just all felt majestic.

If you want to be amongst the party scene- it's a 1500 rupee and 20min tuktuk each way. So back and forth is a bit hard. But for us we just wanted to hike and explore- so worked perfectly.

This is an excellent hotel. The view (whether from the patio by our room, the restaurant or the pool) down to the southern foothills is gorgeous, basically the same view you’d get if you do the Little Adam’s Peak or Ella Rock hikes, just not quite as wide. And you can actually see the view, since Ella is high enough that you’re above the smoky sky of the lowlands. The staff are very friendly and helpful and spoke English better than at most other hotels. The room is nice and big and very quiet at night. The food at the restaurant is very good, especially the Sri Lankan dishes. The Sri Lankan curry and rice set a standard that no other restaurant has met, with an amazing variety of curries included. They have tuktuk drivers that can take you into town or to a trailhead, and the cost is competitive with what you’d pay any other driver. Lastly, the price is an excellent value.

Nous avons été accueillis après un long voyage avec un cocktail de fruits frais, ce qui a été appréciable. L'hôtel est bien entretenu et bien décoré. La vue est incroyable! Le personnel est très serviable, notamment les serveurs au bar/restaurant qui ont été très attentionnés, surtout avec nos enfants. Le petit déjeuner est excellent, très varié, il y en a pour tous les goûts (granola, fromage frais, fruits, jus de fruits frais, toasts, banana bread, pain perdu, spécialités sri lankaises,...). Sur les 3 hôtels dans lesquels nous avons séjourné, celui-ci a été le meilleur (propreté, qualité du service, restauration).

Nous avons trouvé la chambre un peu petite mais cela ne nous a pas dérangés finalement. Il est nécessaire de faire appel à un tuktuk pour bouger, rien n'est accessible à pieds. L'hôtel nous a proposé un chauffeur qui s'est montré très disponible et qui a été très gentil avec nos enfants.

Das Chill Ville liegt ca 15 Minuten mit dem tuktuk von Ella Town entfernt. Das war für uns die perfekte Lage: sehr ruhig, aber trotzdem fix in der Stadt. Der Blick vom Restaurant und Pool aus ist wirklich einmalig! Die Zimmer sind in einzelnen Häusern quer über das Gelände verteilt (Achtung nicht barrierefrei, da viele Treppen). Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Insbesondere der Gärtner ist ein absoluter Schatz und ein super netter Kerl (gibt dem Mann eine saftige Gehaltserhöhung!). Auch der Service („Kofferträger“) extrem zuvorkommend! Unser Zimmer war sehr groß und sehr sauber. Der Blick von der Terrasse war einmalig! Das Badezimmer war auch sehr modern und sauber. Anlage wirkte sehr gepflegt. Hotel hat einen TukTuk Service mit einem wirklich netten Fahrer.

Das Essen war zwar lecker, aber nichts besonderes.

It is very picturesque being so far up and out of the main town. Breakfast one of the best and very helpful and friendly staff.

Issue is location, it’s 20min drive out of Ella and not walkable rds. I wouldn’t stay here again based on that as there are cheaper options nearer town also with good views. Some may not have pools but think it’s more important to be nearer Ella. Not sure why it’s so expensive I think it’s overpriced.

Can’t fault it

Wij reizen de hele wereld rond en dit is wel een pareltje hoor! Wat een uitzicht! Lekker fris zwembad, heerlijk eten en prachtige kamers. Tuc tuc staat klaar om je naar Ella en omgeving te brengen. Druk dorpje, dus echt zo lekker weer terug te komen in dit hotel. Extra pluim voor personeel ! Wat een lieve zorgzame mensen! Dikke 10!

Spectacular location, so high up in the mountains, it gave you the most incredible panoramas. Loved the open large thatched roof bar and dining room with unforgettable views of deep valleys, mountains and gorges. We loved the fact there were only 7 individual bedroom units with their incredible balconies. The food was some of the most delicious we had been served in Sri Lanka. So much so, we found it’s sister restaurant in the centre of Ella and had a great lunch there. Thank you to our bar and breakfast person who talked us through some great alternatives to view secret waterfalls and good places to eat.

If I went to Ella again, I would only stay here but would add for others reading: 1. Considering it was in the tea producing region, our room offered a kettle and a few English tea bags with packets of coffee mate. This was really disappointing and unlike any other place we had stayed at in Sri Lanka which offered a range of fab teas. 2. The pool is a nice area, small, but with the best views in the world. Unfortunately, due to the smallness of the place, there were a number of TukTuks closeby continually revving their engines, fixing engine problems, etc which was noisy, annoying and smelly. We advised front desk who I hope take note and move the tuk tuks to the back of the building. 3. The bathroom accessories was just shampoo and shower gel. We thought this was a bit mean. 4. Due to it’s spectacular location, it is about 15 minutes drive out of Ella and tuk tuks can get expensive On saying this, it’s still fabulous.

Beautiful surrounds just outside Ella. Quiet and peaceful. Food was excellent. We loved the Sri Lankan curry for dinner. Staff were so helpful and even made us a packed breakfast for our early start. If you are looking for somewhere relaxing to stay in nature just a short tuk tuk to Ella book this place you won’t be disappointed.

Wonderful, peaceful location with fantastic views over the valley. The hotel has a great bar and restaurant area which make the most of the views. Staff are fantastic, making you feel so welcome and at home from the minute you arrive. Nothing was too much trouble and we were so well looked after we didn’t want to leave. Breakfast had a great selection and an egg station from which we enjoyed excellent omelettes. Dinner was also very good, we enjoyed local curries and international dishes. Ella and the sights are nearby but the peaceful location makes Chill Ville a delight to stay in. Thankyou for a wonderful holiday stay. Beautiful !

Our stay in Ella was absolutely unforgettable – the hotel was incredibly comfortable, beautifully designed, and the outdoor spaces were especially stunning, with a view so breathtaking that we chose to spend more time there just enjoying it rather than exploring the town. The staff were beyond amazing and kind – when we asked where we could buy jackfruit, they surprised us by picking one fresh from their own tree for us, which was such a thoughtful and unforgettable gesture. I truly recommend this place from the bottom of my heart.
