Reviewed Mar 14, 2026The apartment is beautifully appointed and very comfortable, it has everything a traveller requires and its location is an easy few minute walk to cafes bars restaurants and shops. If your trip includes a visit to Hobbiton it is the perfect place to stay.

Lack of floor covering in the kitchen. Door from bathroom to bedroom doesn’t close fully. A bed in the living area No side table for placing cups on, had to put them on the floor That awful red rug in the living area

No ventilation window in kitchen or xpelair fan for cooking. It meant leaving access door to unit open. No window in bedroom. No fan. If needed air flow had to have bathroom door off bedroom open and no privacy for others using toilet. One teaspoon only and cutlery very poor quality. Hot plate for cooking would be good but only had electric fry pan.

The floor from both the kitchen & bathroom is uneven, potentially a tripping hazard. Also, a small stove would be nice.

Only downfall for me (as a light sleeper), is that it is situated on the main highway to Tauranga. I was woken by trucks going passed early in the morning and the building shaking.

It rattled a bit when trucks went past, but not enough to deter my sleep!

Reviewed Nov 18, 2024I made mistake using lockbox in front unit v the back unit, my bad. Host came down in 5 mins to assist. TV modern smart with full Sky , utube, N/Flix. Bed very comfortable and good value for money. Place was clean
No iron, motels apartments always do so surprised- had biz meeting that morning. Couch is old and small, needs to be bigger for nice TV. No coat hanger or any place to hang, and a small bottle of milk would have been nice...all minor things though that dont detract from value
