Dry clean, excellent breakfast, lots of choices. Nice sitting area at night.

We had room 5, knowing it was two single beds which was fine. Upon arriving didn’t think it was going to be the size of a kids bedroom. Way too small of beds and room. More ideal for kids under 10. Over priced for that room. Sorry just being honest.

Une saucisse de Francfort et 3 demi toasts beurres si on choisit le chaud, et dans ce cas interdit de se servir dans le froid et guère mieux si un choisit le froid. Interdit de compléter le chaud par un peu de froid. Chambre 1 juste à côté du salon. Très bruyant.

Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Staff all helpful and friendly. Nice outside seating and comfortable lounge area. It was nice to be able to help ourselves to tea and coffee at any time. Excellent value for money.

We were in the smallest room which was very good value for money but did get warm. There’s an air-con unit but it was very loud so we ended up propping open the door in the night which was fine but some people wouldn’t like doing? Breakfast was fine for the price of the stay but nothing special.

Attractive property, comfortable room

Note: Wearing of shoes inside the property wasn’t allowed & the attractive polished wooden floors were slippery. This made the stairs a significant tripping hazard for me. Guests should be aware that loaner slippers are readily available (I didn’t notice them until after I’d gone up and down several times)! My only negative experience during our single-night stay was at the complimentary breakfast. A posted sign said that guests should choose between a hot or cold breakfast, and that coffee, tea & fruit were included. We chose the hot breakfast and we each picked up a banana from a bowl on the counter near the self-service coffee/tea station. The cook/server immediately scolded us verbally, saying loudly that bananas were part of the cold breakfast option only. I felt very embarrassed and that memory has colored my memory of an otherwise pleasant stay. The hosts themselves were quite pleasant, by the way.

Our room was on main floor right by entrance and we would hear door opening and the other guests often talking just outside our room. Also the shoe cubby was right by the door and some shoes weren’t put away so we’re in our path to leave our room. To no fault of BnB but guests above us for the night were loud and could hear their movement in our ceiling and also chose to move furniture likely chairs and made screeching sounds throughout our stay. We would stay again but pick another room.

I thoroughly enjoyed both of my stays. I have already booked my return for next year.

Well maintained and clean lodging. Staff were very friendly and helpful at directing us to local amenities and points of interest. Breakfast was very good and loved having access to coffee, tea, juice and microwave 7/24. Would definitely stay again.

Not enough options

Parfait pour couper la route entre Saint John et Channel port aux basques. Arrivée et départ facile, clef directement dans la chambre, literie très confortable, chambre et établissement propre. ( C'est bien la première fois que je vais dans un hôtel ou l'on nous demande de retirer les chaussures dès la porte d'entrée)

Ce n'est pas vraiment une maison d'hôte comme peux nous le laisser croire l'annonce avec les photos de la famille qui gère l'établissement. Sur place aucun personnel si ce n'est la personne du petit déjeuner très peu aimable et qui on à l'impression de déranger. Petit déjeuner basic et classique sans grand intérêt. Chambre très mal isolée ( merci à la personne qui est parti à 5h du matin en séchant ses cheveux)

Bed was a little soft for us, but everyone has their own preferences of mattress firmness.

This was our first BnB experience & it was great ... room was clean, comfortable bed, tea/coffee/water station was available any time we wanted, seating areas & library is a great touch, breakfast was delicious & even accommodated my gluten-free needs at no extra cost!

Would have appreciated a brief verbal walk-through of the facilities when we arrived. Suggestion: a designated temporary parking spot near the front door for guests to unload their luggage.

La chambre était un peu petite et une fois les valises ouvertes il n y avait plus beaucoup de place... heureusement c etait juste pour une nuit, donc rien de rédhibitoire.

The walls are not well insulated. We could hear the people in the room next to ours and the floor above, as well as folks going up and down the stairs next to our room. Loud enough it woke us up a couple times.

Very thoughfully historically furnished bed and breakfast. Antique wooden floors etc.. Be prepared to take off your outdoor shoes direclty at the entrance :-) Coffee/tea making facilites in the common area accessible at all times.

Breakfast is OK, but nothing special

The breakfast cook/server was quite friendly. He gave us a choice of a continentmal breakfast or a hot breakfast, we chose a hot breakfast. It was served within a minue. The portion was very small, a little bit of scrambled eggs and one tiny little sausage, one piece of toast and an orange slice.

The process to check in was entirely digital. We were welcomed by no-one. The creepy thing is that you have to literlly accept a contract to check-in, including a Force Majeur article, I am not kidding. I have never experienced that in my life. We didn't like that the lighting in the room was terrible, there was only one garbage can and it had a foor lever to operate, so quite inconvenient. The whole place had a creepy vibe with no human interaction. It seemed that the owner's primary concern was limiting their risk and minimizing their costs, not guest satisfaction.

Il a su nous mettre confortable dès notre arrivé et s’assurait de notre confort tout au long de notre très court passage. Nous avons adoré notre expérience.

La douche était tellement petite qu'on arrivait difficilement à bouger. Mon mari qui est très grand n'a pas apprécié. Personnel du déjeuner très peu accueillant.

It was difficult to sleep as the occupants of other room in section kept going in and out of their room during the night and their door needed oiling.

Great locatation, very clean and pretty good breakfast included.

The only thing we had trouble with was the room #3 we had. This room is facing the front and right in front of the window is the seating area for smoking., We are early to bed usually and the load talking right outside our window from the guests gathering til 11 pm made it imposibe to sleep, We will stay again but ask to be in any room but # 3.

The breakfast was very nice - but did not quite meet the descriptions on line. the property was very nice - well looked after.

the bed was not comfortable - it was my worst night sleep on the entire trip. The room was cramped. Not as roomy as other place we had stayed at.

Our room on our second stay was quite small but room one was good! We liked the sitting areas and friendly staff

The king suite is very spacious. The bed is comfortable but quite high. The whirlpool tub is lovely. Nice to have tv and air conditioning in room.

The walls are thin and it is easy to hear other guests unless they are very quiet. Could also sometimes hear noise from downstairs. The carriage house is in a residential area so a bit of a drive to get anywhere. Breakfast was ok but staff did not engage with us in any way and it all seemed a bit unfriendly.

Small room, just 2 singles tucked under sloping roof, cramped... bathroom not attached, located across hall All guests required to remove shoes to "protect" wood floor while staff wore their shoes

Idéal pour un arrêt de passage entre deux points de chute, les distances étant sis grandes à TN. Les lits étaient confortables, les déjeuners généreux et raffinés, avec petite boutique pour acheter de la confiture maison.

D'avoir à enlever nos souliers en entrant quand nous étions fatiguées et chargées de sacs à dos et valises. (mais c'est pour cela que c'était très propre aussi). Nous avions une très jolie salle de bain privée mais un peu loin de notre chambre. Ils mettent à notre disposition des robes de chambres très utiles en cette circonstance, mais en mettant les mains dans les poches il y avait des vieux Klinex...un oublie probablement, donc les robes-de-chambre n'avaient pas été lavées.

Lovely bed & breakfast for one night to break up my travel from Gros Morne to St. John’s. Junior is a gem of a host! Super comfy bed, coffee and tea available 24hrs and a fridge and ice if needed.

Stairs were not clearly noted when I reserved. My fault I guess for not inquiring. Didn’t feel like I was greeted- felt more like I was scolded when I arrived and wasn’t sure why? I’m not sure I appreciate contactless check ins when it’s not a private set up. (Like an apartment or Airbnb). Don’t see the value to me. The use of the building wasn’t explained (like kitchen area or lounge area) just a hurried, while I still was opening the door and coming in, demand for when I was booking my breakfast time. Put me off right away.

ce n'est pas un bed and breakfast. Mais une véritable usine. Il y a plus de 15 chambres. Très bruyant. Chambre minuscule. Fenêtre condamnée par une climatisation qui se lançait toute seule et était extrêmement bruyante. Aucune rencontre avec les propriétaires. Pas du tout l'esprit d'un bed and breakfast !!

The hinges on the door to #5 and the associated separate bathroom were so squeaky we thought we'd wake everyone in the hotel up during the night when we had to use the facilities.

The excellent service provided by the staff at the front desk to the chef providing an amazing breakfast. The breakfast area is very spacious and accommodating.

The location is in a residential area so it is a bit of a distance when walking to the city center.
