The view was great, very friendly
NA
Dirty carpets, small bathroom and lowest toilet I have ever seen!!! We are seniors!!!!!!
The staff were very accommodating and very friendly. The prices at the pub were great.
The room was very outdated, OLD carpet, and needed a paint job. When I walked into the room, the smell of dog was disgusting. I turned down the blankets to check the bed and the sheets were not straightened out and there was people hair, not dog hair, all over them. The pillows were flat. We had to ask for more and pile them on top of each other....3 each. We ended up switching rooms and it didn't smell like dog but was in bad need of paint. The bathroom was very clean.
Rien
Toilette qui ne fonctionne pas bien , très bruyant , trop cher pour ce qu’ils offrent
Bed was comfortable
Everything was old and worn looking.
Carpet is rotten I waste water and went for a towel to soak it up OMG! Never ever steam cleaned. Not fit healthy for anyone to breath We had cool temperatures and rain witj window opened.
First it was the efficiency unit. Old, worn dirty couch and chairs. Stove omg dirty. Then swiched next room mice droppings on the mattress, third on better had to pay more, over priced. Taps don’t turn off properly. Needs fresh paint and my God take up that dirty carpet that stinks
Aside from the Location and the Cleaning/Maintenance Staff, there was little to Like.
First Impressions are usually correct and being served by Front Desk Staff that made You feel like You were imposing and They wanting to be somewhere else was a Harbinger of what was to come. At $300.00 per night, We were greeted with Black Mold in the Shower and along the bottom of the Tub. Rusty Sink Taps that spun endlessly with Water flowing, not flowing, flowing was disconcerting. Intermittent Grout on the Sink Shelf looked unsightly and disgusting. The Decor could only be described as putting Lipstick on a Pig. The Beds were Lumpy and uncomfortable as were the Chairs. Internet Service was spotty at best. No Complimentary breakfast nor in-room amenities. I could list more but I think You get the Gist...

J’ai payé le prix négocié avec ebookers mais majoré de 53 dollars sans aucune volonté de donner une explication sur une facture incompressible . Établissement à éviter pour ne pas se faire arnaquer

This is a scam, the room was not at the hotem, I must take a car and go to the other side of the highway to some hold facilities....

deus séjours, cautions de 2x 200,00 dollars toujours pas libérées L’emplacement du frigo était vide, donc pas de frigo, Personnel de la réception du genre je m’enfoutiste.
The front desk and manager were very pleasant, this review has nothing to do with our interactions with them.
To put this review into perspective, we travel frequently and have stayed at many different hotels and accommodations over the years. Until this experience, I had never felt the need to write a negative review. Unfortunately, this stay was so disappointing that I feel compelled to share our experience. We have never stayed in a room that was in such deplorable condition. The furniture was extremely old, worn, and clearly showed years of use. The bathroom was in terrible condition, with the moulding around the bathtub appearing dirty and covered in mould. The pillows were soiled and lumpy, and the air conditioner filter was visibly filled with dirt and dust. The hinges on the doors were rusty, adding to the overall impression that the room had been poorly maintained. These are just a few of the issues we encountered during our stay. Overall, the room was not only uncomfortable but also raised serious concerns about cleanliness and basic maintenance. For the price we paid, the condition of the room was completely unacceptable, and this was by far one of the worst accommodations we have experienced in our travels.
Excellent
More modern fixtures in the room
It was available.
Dated. And at $250 a night, the “resort” addition to their name is a joke. But…not much competition in GFW.
The room in general
The name was Peyton resourt With cabins I have been to many resorts Peyton is not a resort So I booked the cabin When we arrived , we were told we’re we would be staying instruction across the highway We were to take the overpass When we arrived I was pretty upset tears It was a very dirty and old looking motel The parking lot was full of pot hole and the motel was very dirty looking WAS NOT A CABIN It was a dated small motel room Air conditioning buttons to control the level of air had been removed NOT ONE WINDOW could be opened The screen door was a piece of junk Maybe 50 years old could not open the screen We were stuck in a stuffy warm room We asked about getting ice we were told the ice machine was broken TV. Was not working Called for maintenance to fix tv He was able to get the tv but most stations were blurred Few hours later the tv said could not find a signal no tv We phoned again He was able to get it working Bathroom sink had rusted area’s The place was a dump We had just stayed at the Sand man hotel in St Johns we paid the exact amount for the Peyton Grand Falls in the Half way mark to St Johns NFLD Going we stayed at the Robyn Hood Hotel a beautiful modern clean hotel
The building needs to be stripped to the studs outside siding as well Bathroom Reno Parking lot Reno or just torn town No microwave no mini fridge
Not much, except staff were professional and very helpful.
The facilities are dated. Rooms have old furniture. Two vending machines not working.
Easy access to the room
No microwave or fridge in room
Staff were great old facilities,
Old facilities, upgrades needed in bathroom, rooms generally
Easy to get to and the staff were great
The property is old and worn. When I turned the sheets back to go to bed there was hair on the bottom sheet so I slept on top
Location, staff, room and bed was comfortable.
Dated building, hallways
Motel is located across the street from conference centre. Nice clean room, shower worked great.
Out front of the unit cigarette butts were everywhere and the chairs provided for outdoor sitting were broken.
Nothing
Bad smell.
Food was great
No fridge and the room had a funny smell. Not enough pillows.
It was old, chairs were dirty and stained, there was no fridge, ice machine had no ice and that area was really dirty. Scrub bucket left in the hallway. The outside was old and run down. One of the out side doors was broken and wouldn’t close. The patio chair was also cracked. Definitely not worth the $246 we had to pay
It was an okay stay thats it.
On Saturday they stopped my card from working without telling me even though I had two nights book Saturday night aswell. Ran to the door nearest to our room with kids needing to use the washroom and my card would not work and had to go right around to front desk almost causing an accident. The staff were poor swearing infront of kids and telling stories not appropriate. Extremely expensive for what the hotel is. Very old, old everything. Carpet was so dirty. The stairs was hard for a single mom with kids to get everything brought up with no help offered. The restaurant staff were very rude. Stating my kid can order certain. Food only if we went to the bar side and I could order whichever on the bar side from any menu and I couldnt believe that, it makes zero sense. I didnt want my kid on the side with people drinking. Amenities were very old. Coffee was just okay whitener instead of creamer. No fridges for the price of the room is outrageous. The customer service was so poor. It was a hard lesson after paying close to 600 for two nights.
There was NOTHING to like
This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed. It was old, dirty, ugly, didn’t have basic things like a fridge or microwave. I was awake the whole night. We couldn’t sleep on the sheets because they were so dirty and looked so old. The chairs had faded from wine to white, we had to put a towel on the chair to sit in because we were scared there could be bugs. It would have honestly been better to sleep in the car than stay at Mount Peyton. DO NOT BOOK this hotel if you care for basic decency and comfort, you will not get it. The staff couldn’t even help microwave some food. We had to go food hunting at past 10, honestly it was such a horrible and traumatic experience, like a horror movie setting. For about $248 a night, not even a bottle of water. Completely avoid this place for your own good .
Location was across the street from the main building. Stayed in a long building that was one level. Old pull up motel style. The outside was scattered with cigarette butts and appeared dirty, as people milled around outside. The room itself was nice.
Beautification needed on the grounds and buildings. Inside was so much better.
The room was clean and bathroom were clean.
The furniture in the room is little outdated. Before entering the room, there was garbage, empty cans and cigarette buts very visible. The out side chairs were dirty. Maintenance was not a priority to the hotel. The road in has lots of pot holes on the observed. The cabins were not attractive driving in. For the cost to stay one night was not appropriate.
Staff, cleanliness, location
The tv keep losing sound and remote didn't work very good1
Nice roomie beds. Good size room is acess right off of the trans canada highway. Very accommodating. Very nice people. We had a small issue and it was rectified immediately. Great service. Will definitely go back
That they refunded me in full, no questions asked
It might be a great stopover for hunters…but that’s about it. The rooms were dank, dark and smelly.
Easy check-in. Plenty of parking. Easy access. Comfortable bed.
Breakfast wasn’t included and the restaurant was pricier than we wanted for getting on the road quickly.
All the surrounding outside areas were dirty. No access to food on Sunday or Monday.Beds were very uncomfortable!
We loved the town, Grand Falls Windsor. It was beautiful and the amenities and people were amazing There were 2 arondack chairs outside to sit and enjoy the lawn and trees. The staff responded to our requests for more towels, coffee, and a do not disturb sign.
The room we stayed in, which was supposed to be a cottage, was a ridiculous price for what we got. There were 2 beds, comfortable enough, with bedding that was yellowed...? Don't know how to describe it but it seemed to be clean. The curtains were stained with, I think coffee, patched holes in the walls with no pictures. Not that that would have made a difference. The step to get outside was quite high and you had to be careful. The door was stuck and to open or close you had to push very hard, slam it. No fridge, no microwave, just coffee. Hard to find channels on the TV and no Raku or Netflix. Thankfully we had lots to do and look at in the town. The front desk was in the hotel across the highway. 5 left turns or right depending on whether you were coming or going.
There is no breakfast that we found.
Cleaniness a nd upkeep of the property.
In Grand Falls, this is the only game in town for a regular hotel that is business friendly. The rooms are well worn and the bathrooms have the tiniest toilets I have ever seen. The rooms also vary quite a bit judging from comments by my coworkers.
The toilets are child sized. The showers are okay clean, but not really sparkling or anything. There is nothing around the hotel and it is not a walkable area, so you have to have a car.
The rooms really need to be renovated. The linen and pillows are very old and the pillows are bumpy
Friendly staff
No refrigerator in the room we stayed
It was easy to check in and out
The extra pillows were not cleaned and had hair on them
The breakfast was good, very nice server.
The room was worn and outdated. Cabinet doors rattled while walking past it, Carpet needed a cleaning.iv
Nice location
Needs to be updated has an old smell to it and the rooms need to be updated
The smell is bad
Location and that it was pet friendly
The ice machine didn't work. No fridge in room
Rien . Prix très élevé. Pas de frigo. Meuble tres usés. Petite chambre sans rien de beau.
Tout .Je peux pas croire avoir payé aussi cher.
I have stayed at the Mount Peyton a few times over the last 25 years. The property is a little tired on first sight, BUT, the big plus is it is very clean and comfortable and the staff could not be fore friendly or helpful
Location
Opening times of restaurant and bar.
Ad says breakfast included but receipt says it is not included
We have stayed at this hotel in the past, I booked here this time for a procedure that we were told would require me to stay nearby the hospital in case of difficulty with recovery. Mount Peyton has family rooms for families like ours of 5, which is what drew me to book in with them again. I sent messages through this app about requests and was answered in a timely manner. I called after my procedure to let them know that I would not need to stay and acknowledged that my reservation did not have free cancellation, but that it would be better for us to bite the bullet and pay for the stay, even though we would no longer need it, as my husband could instead avoid missing another days pay by returning to work a day earlier. The staff member appreciated my call and advised me to make sure I followup on the app, she was very kind. I clicked the cancellation button and "request for refund", and I wholly did not expect to have that approved. I just got notified by my bank that the credit card was refunded, and oh what a weight that has lifted off us to have that money returned. This is the kind of actions that demonstrate the kind of business you run is one that cares about their community and their guests. It shows a morality that is lost in this world alot lately, they were not contractually obligated, but they did the nice thing anyway. I am so incredibly grateful for that. On this medical journey, living rurally means lots of costs incurred that aren't refundable, you don't even know my story, but you've supported me in it and in turn, I will be returning the favour in kind. See you on our next overnight trip to GFW.
Photos of rooms are different between apps/booking sites. The staff were not able to confirm which family room we could be staying in, the layout between the new and old are very different space wise and I would have been willing to pay extra for one over the other. Could not find sufficient information about the restaurant and whether they had safe options for gluten intolerant guests - last time we stayed, the restaurant was not open at convenient times.
Time for this hotel to get updates!!!!!!!
Hotel needs major updates.
Did not have breakfast. Staff were pleasant..It was simple to communicate. The hotel were accommodating to our requests.
Sometimes kids were running around making some noise. Probably associated with sports events.
The location and cleanliness were great no access to food beds uncomfortable
Beds no restaurant or amenities
Convenient
They were hosting multiple hockey teams during our stay and the kids were screaming and yelling and running up and down the hallways until 1am.
Conveniently located. Central to the purpose of our trip.
The Mount Peyton is in desperate need of a refresh in the rooms. An upgrade is long overdue.
comfortablr bed

The location was why we stayed there…
The pillows were very thin.. only two pillows per bed… as we were going to sleep we were waken by a worker knocking on the door bringing extra pillows and a few mins after the phone rang .. I am guessing it was for the same reason… that would have been fine but it wasn’t our room who ordered extra pillows… it was a uneasy feeling someone knocked on your door and saying maintenance man… by the time we woke up and grabbed clothes to put on the person was gone and the pillows were by the door….also there are no mini fridge in the room….
The location was about it and that we could get a room on short notice bit nothing else was good.
We had to book last minute due to needing to be close to the hospital, location was great and the staff were wonderful However the room was not clean , sheets had holes in them there was actual dirt all behind the bed where the headboard is and bathroom wasn't clean it didn't give you a very good feeling but we were so overwhelmed already due to a family member being in icu that we just had to take it
The rooms were clean, spacious and updated.
Guest services advised that the restaurant was opened until 9pm. My partner and I showed up at 7:56pm and greeted with 3 wait staff looking at us and one greeted us with “Yes?” And then we were told the kitchen was closed at 8pm and the bar usually had the kitchen pub food on until 9pm but not on Monday’s. All the guest information slip (photo attached) states that the kitchen closes at 9pm. So either the information has to be updated or there’s miscommunication between staff. Either option doesn’t paint a good look on staff.
It was all good for the overnight trip
Clean and very quiet
Needs complete renovations.
We booked via Expedia for a pet friendly room. The room was in dire need of a whole makeover. The pillows should have been tossed years ago. No fridge in our room because it was pet friendly. We could get one for an added cost of $60.00 Upon arrival the front desk staff was rude and did not listen when I answered her questions. I would not recommend staying here unless you are desperate.
