UNGA VEEDU PAY AND STAY

Unga Veedu is a quiet, clean and comfortable space for those visiting Tiruvannamalai, especially the Ramanashram. Staff is very friendly, courteous & helpful. The amenities are enough for both leisure travelers and those with a bit of work to catch during the stay. On request they can accommodate elders on the ground floor based on availability

The prices are a bit on the higher side, no lifts and no parking within the premises. Roadside parking is available. Food is not available but plenty of options nearby

Room is bigger. But they can incorporate breakfast in the morning. Since I paid 4500 per day.

Location is very close to Ramana Ashram in a nice locality which is absolutely clean and neat. It is an excellent choice of location. I would recommend it to everyone who is looking full value for their money.

I stayed in Silver room in back which didn’t have loud street noise but some evenings and mornings there was loud music that seemed to be coming from behind the bathroom.

This is one of the cleaner and more organized hotels I've seen in India. It would take you a long time to find something better in Tiruvanamalai. They have a large staff and it's not the usual money-making operation where the proprietor tries to squeeze every dime in exchange for nothing.

Very tastefully decorated. Very well designed rooms with excellent facilities. Extremely clean. Temple is nearby and plenty of choices for meals.

The staff were really amazing - all so friendly and eager to assist. There was a washing machine onsite available for guests to use. Although the communal kitchen was on the same floor as my room (Copper), I asked for an electric kettle and was provided one immediately. The room was spacious and free of mosquitoes. The bed was comfy. There was decent wardrobe space, and a small table.

All just little things ... The sockets were the far side of the room to the bed. There was no squeegy in the bathroom to remove water after a shower. The slippers mentioned in the listing weren't provided (although I didn't mention this to the staff, and probably they would have rectified it if I had!) The air freshener balls in the wardrobe and sink were very overpowering. I threw them out straight away but could still smell them 3 days later.

I can highly recommend Unga Veedu pay and stay. It is a newly build place with everything functioning well, great wifi, AC, washing machine, shared kitchen, attention to detail such as plants. Staff and managment are delightful and kind. It is just a few minutes walk from Sri Ramanasramam.

An excellent and budget-friendly stay in Thiruvannamalai. While traveling from Madurai to Tirumala, we chose this as a stopover, and it exceeded our expectations in every aspect—staff, room quality, and facilities were all outstanding for the price. However, there is no elevator, so guests who may have difficulty climbing stairs should keep this in mind. Other than that, we had no complaints and would definitely consider staying here again on a future visit.

Everything was great. Property is located close to Ramana Maharshi Ashramam and the temple is close by.

Check out time mentioned as 12:30 in booking.com and that was the main reason I booked this but the staff told me that the check out time was 11:30. When I talk to them they didn’t force me which is good.

Two things - Bed/Mattress is very hard. Do not order taxi from the hotel. Even though the taxi from the hotel was more expensive we ordered it from the hotel assuming it will be more reliable. The taxi guy came an hour late and the driver did many halts before reaching my destination.

Location is central, near restaurants and the Sri Ramana Ashram. It was clean

It was over priced for the room, I paid for a family room which was actually a twin room. It had no natural light it was such a dark room. I had to ask for a kettle, no tea and coffee included. It was basic … which is ok if the price reflected this. I don’t think it did.

All is good, but it is too expensive compared to peers surrounding locality.

Very far from temple n costly

If you are a person who wants a home feel away from home, this is the place. Very close to Girvalam path and also Ramana Ashram. Manager Amutha was the best, she provided us with all information and also booked us cabs. When you staying here for long term please avail their bike rental service.

Few changes had to be made, I have already updated with Amutha (Manager). She will take care of the things that were lacking.

A very good address to be close to the Ramana ashram, while escaping the tumult of the city. The rooms offered, equipped with air conditioning, are clean and welcoming, the service and the welcome are of very good quality. We highly recommend this address.

The property was well maintained and clean.

Room was little congested I felt. If you want to avoid the AC and want open the window.... adjacent building mask the flow of wind.
