Stay at the art gallery

The host was very helpful. She checked in with me on a regular basis to see if I needed anything. I appreciated that she baked cookies for me every day.

Great location to shops and beach area. Had lovely chats with the owners, and it was a bonus to have an art gallery and retail store right next door. Room was cosy and warm.

Couldn't get any closer to the village

This was such a lovely space! I had 3 nights here and enjoyed them very much. It was most inspiring and healing to be amongst all the beautiful art and to be spoiled with treats by my lovely host. I also loved being so near the lively 'hub' of the wharf at Mapua and its closer to the Abel Tasman than Nelson. The host was in touch in the days prior to check on preferences (which I did not connect with ... my bad!)

Just so others know (did not bother me at all) there are a couple of stairs from the bedroom to the bathroom & kitchenette.

Lovely room, clean, spacious, warm and bright. Although bathroom and kitchen were shared they were close to the room and very private. I didn’t see anyone else. Both well equipped and clean

Lovely room with a very comfortable bed. Very friendly hosts, and great location very close to a handful of bars and restaurants. Perfect for a one night stay after two days hiking in Abel Tasman.

The location is amazing, and the owners are lovely. Plus you get to look at the art.

The toilet/shower is outside and shared with the art gallery during shop hours, its fine but worth noting.

Great location 5min walk to Mapua wharf with a great selection of shops,cafes, restaurants and a great fish and chips shop. very scenic.

Exceeded expectations. Rosheen was a great host. She helped me with a 3rd bed. Great location, very cute and very convenient.

Perfect location across from the Mapua wharf complex. Small but perfectly formed. V good value for money. V good shower and check out is 11am not the usual 10 am.

If you were staying a few days it may be a little inconvenient to share the kitchen and toilet space with the shop next door between 10-4pm in the afternoon but it didn’t bother us as we arrived late and checked out early.

Lovely hosts, great location and very well priced.

Lovely, cosy accomodation with a spacious bathroom and walking distance to everywhere. We were cycling through and there was also space to easily store our bikes.

Mapua is a lovely place, and the art gallery is right by the warf. The room is cozy.

As mentioned in the description, the bathroom/ kitchen is in another building. The bathroom was actually quite cold, with a cold concrete floor. That part was unexpected. But clean and had everything we needed.

Everything was great. Comfortable bed, very clean. Kitchenette is well stocked and clean. Little treats provided made the stay special.

The bed was ridiculously comfortable, the shower pressure blissful, the location ideal, and the extra touches (homemade muffins!) were very welcome (and tasty). We would love to stay again.

The location was perfect, very close to the restaurants. The hosts were friendly and super responsive.

Very comfi bed in a nice room, quiet area near to marina and shops incl. parking. Just the stairs outside to bath and kitchen could be dangerous for some. Bath & kitchen are in one area and via an outside way but very modern. One of the best accommodation I had in 3 weeks NZ!

Great stay and hosts!

Perfect location right across the road from the wharf with cafes, art studios, etc. There was even a stunning on on the property which we could view at our convenience. Host net is on arrival and was very welcoming and gave complete and concise instructions. Everything had been thought of and the kitchenette was well stocked.

Very minor but the cat started meowing as soon as someone got up to use the toilet. It didn’t try to cone into the room though.

Great location by the wharf. Very fun to peruse the art gallery in the evening. Beautifully furnished. Breakfast was included which was nice. Host met us and showed us around which was a nice add.

The room is quite small, so it took some maneuvering when we ate dinner in the room. Probably a better option if you don't plan on eating at the place.

Fantastic Hosts, Roisin, and Stu made sure I felt very welcome. Great communication on access, facilities, breakfast, parking, places to eat, gigs, and places to visit. The location was perfect. Facilities were exceptional. Free internet, big tv comfortable bed, excellent kitchen and bathroom. Bed was very comfortable. Also got spoiled by some delicious home baking. Best place I've stayed at ..

Comfy bed, great location

Great location, just a stone’s throw from the wharf. Quite a private area, never had to wait for the shared facilities. Fast communication, great hosts.

There was a random soft beeping sound that came from another room … but not a biggie.

Cosy, clean and homely. Every aspect of our stay was well thought and very welcoming. From the warm room to comfy bed and easy access. Can't forget to mention the location is just perfect. The owners have really saved a little piece of paradise for each traveller to feel the wonder of Mapua. I will only stay here when I am back in town. Thankyou!

Room was warm and ready, hosts very good with communication. Beautiful art on display in the room, and very close to the local pop up shops and restaurants.

Handy spot. Clean . Off street parking for motorbikes.

The room felt like it had been shed that had been lined. Quite small with 3 steps outside to go to the bathroom/ kitchen. Not ideal at night. Breakfast was a basic cereal choice of three . Weetbix/ cornflakes or rice bubbles and milk .

The location is excellent. Right next to the wharf and food places. I'd been staying in backpackers for the last couple of days and this was just the reset I needed!

Location great

We loved our stay, but the room was very hot and no heat pump. The fan was helpful, but very loud and just blew hot air around. The towels we had to use every day - no fresh ones were supplied. The steps for access to the room were too large need an extra one added, but the new handrail was a great help for me. Also need a step into the room with the bathroom and kitchen facilities. Especially for someone who needs the toilet two or three times in the night. Was windy last night and the sensor light goes on and off with the wind, so kept me awake going on & off all night! Maybe a blind for the glass door might be an idea. Great spot to stay, beautiful part of the area, Mapua and Ruby Bay. ❤️💛🖤
