Helen and her family made this stay. We booked two nights and extended to three simply because we enjoyed it so much. They were always available whenever we needed anything, and on arrival Helen hands you a paper map packed with genuinely useful local information — where to eat, where to shop, and what to see and do. The location is perfect — a short walk to the night market and Old Town, with plenty of local food spots nearby and an ATM just two minutes away. We barely needed transport during our stay. The aircon is lovely and cold, the wifi is good and stable, and they also offer laundry, tours, and bike and scooter rentals. Visa cards are accepted. What really stood out was one stormy evening when the whole town lost power due to a severe thunderstorm. It was an area-wide outage, entirely outside Helen's control, but she and her family immediately brought us a battery-powered fan and light, plus plenty of cold water, and checked that we were comfortable. That kind of care isn't something you can put in a listing. At the end of our stay Helen stored our luggage and arranged a taxi to Da Nang at a much better price than Grab or other apps. Perfect for a short stay in Hoi An — easy location, lots to do and eat within walking distance, and hosts who genuinely look after their guests. We look forward to welcoming Helen and her family to our home in Thailand one day.

Das Personal war so unfassbar freundlich und hat uns viele Tipps gegeben, es war mit Abstand die beste Unterkunft in Vietnam (wir waren in vielen, da wir über 1 Monat unterwegs waren). Die Lage ist gut und das Zimmer war geräumig und die Betten sehr bequem! Wir konnten nach dem Checkout unsere Sachen bis abends abstellen und durften sogar noch die Dusche und Toilette benutzen.

The location is okay, about a 15 min walk to Old Town

Before arriving, the host kept texting me trying to pressure me into upgrading my room. On arrival, she got snappy that I had not answered 9 of her messages about the upgrade. I explained that upgrading wasn’t in my budget, and the more expensive room did not look worth the extra money. She then tried to get me to cancel my booking on booking.com so that she would not have to pay commission. The room itself was not clean. The walls were filthy where other people had killed bugs that were now rotting away. My first night I killed about 15 mosquitos and chased geckos out of the room. I also encountered types of bugs that I had never even seen before. The bed is wildly uncomfortable and there’s no hot water in the shower. The window is a decoration and is concreted up so no natural light. The room is not soundproofed whatsoever and from 5am to 1am you can hear people stamping around and shouting downstairs. The bathroom in the lobby seems to be for the family’s personal use and there were dirty underwear left on the back of the door handle. When leaving, she tried to insist that we booked our driver through her instead what we had already planned.

My favourite stay from my whole trip. Helen is the most helpful, lovely human and really goes above and beyond. She also speaks great English. I stayed here at the start and end of my trip and both times the rooms were clean, quiet and felt safe. They have the best aircon, a huge fan, 10/10 wifi, a mini fridge, comfy beds, hairdryer etc It is set back a block from the main area which is ideal as you can use the street that runs behind the main area to quickly get close to where you need to go before walking into the busy crowds. If you take a Grab car to Hoi An with your luggage, they cannot go into the ‘main area’ so this location - as well as being quiet - worked out the best as I had heavy bags. There is a bicycle to rent for 40,000VND but everything is walking distance anyway, including HDbank which has no cash withdrawal fees for foreign cards.

It was a fancy hotel in a residential community. The owner spoke perfect English. I felt safe there, it was very clean and new, staff was outstanding, and it was situated not far from the action spots. I would stay there again if I return to DaNang. I’ve stayed in many home stays in Vietnam, and staff has always been amazing and helpful. This one is no exception, absolutely amazing, friendly, and helpful local family. Helen was very helpful in booking all tours I wanted, even when she needed surgery she still helped. On my last night I burned my leg on the exhaust of a hot motorbike, and Helen’s mother gave me aloe vera to apply to my burnt leg. Words cannot describe how wonderful this family is. Highly recommend, and when I come back to hoi an I would definitely stay here again.

Fijne locatie, de old town is te voet makkelijk te bereiken. De host was ontzettend aardig en hielp ons goed met onze vragen. De kamer was schoon met een fijn bedje. Fijn verblijf gehad!

La dame qui s'occupe de l'hôtel est très gentille et donne plein de bons conseils, discute très volontiers. La chambre est grande et la salle de bain est vraiment très agréable. Meilleure pression de douche le matin que le soir. L'emplacement est assez proche de la vieille ville (5-7 mn à pied) et il y a plein de petits restaurants autour de l'hôtel.

Il y avait un lit confortable et l'autre (le plus bas) beaucoup trop dur. L'une de nous a très bien dormi et celle sur le lit dur très mal, ce qui est dommage. Les bouteilles d'eau offertes n'ont pas été renouvelées, nous avons donc eu sur 3 jours 2 bouteilles offertes à notre arrivée et les autres nous ont été facturées car nous les avons prises dans le mini frigo.

Helen, the owner, made sure I had everything I needed. And provided plenty of ideas and information to make my time in HoiAn enjoyable. She even recommended a wonderful tailor who made me a suit for my son’s wedding. The hotel itself was within walking distance of all the main attractions, and I rented a bike to go to the beach as well.

Ms Helen is the best host you can wish for. Always smiling, up for a chat and helpful with about anything you can think of. She organised our complete trip for the next stage of our journey including driver, bus tickets and coordinated everything. The Homestay is just like 15 mins walking distance to the old town, so it’s a quiet place. Some very good local food options just close by. Our room was very big, clean with a nice bathroom and two beds, one queen and one king. We slept like babies. You can rent bicycles or scooters or get tours arranged by Ms Helen as well, also laundry service is available.

Helen and her family are fantastic hosts! Nothing was too much and they were so helpful. We had the nicest stay ever at Green Town, just outside of the centre this is a hidden gem. I couldn’t recommend it enough, if I’m ever back in Hoi An this is where I will be back to stay

We really enjoyed our stay at the Green Town Hotel. Since we stayed an entire week over Tet in Hoi An, it was the perfect place to find some peace and good sleep. The owner was always friendly, good for some advices/recommendations and really fast in communication. If you go there you‘ll feel really welcomed :) we would definitely come back to this Homestay!

The shower is not separated, but since it’s quite common in entire Vietnam for us that wasn’t a real problem :)

The hosts - Helen and her family were super welcoming and helpful. We will definitely be back. Ideal location between old town and rice fields. Restaurants and street food close by which were excellent. Nice and quiet hotel.

Very clean rooms and a lovely hot shower

Helen could not have been nicer or more accommodating. We booked for a night and ended up staying 6 nights. A wonderful location just outside of the old town, accessible for us to visit An Bang beach daily. Great value for money. Made use of their very reasonable laundry service which was great as we packed light for our 18 night trip. Free WiFi, a trip booked through Helen... it was all very easy.

Not the accommodations fault, but there was building work going on next door meaning we were woken up at 7am but at least it got us out of our bed to explore.

Das Zimmer war sauber und schön. Alles wie auf den Bildern. Die Hotelbesitzerin war sehr zuvorkommend, sie hat uns unser Boot auf die Cham Insel gebucht, wir durften mehrmals unser Gepäck bei ihr lagern und sie buchte uns ein Taxi. Es war alles sehr unkompliziert und wir bedanken uns für den schönen Aufenthalt!

Hotel propre, confortable et famille très accueillante, aux petits soins avec plein de bons conseils donnés par Helen ! Noter que l'immeuble adjacent est en construction mais pas de bruit la nuit.

Helen was great and very helpful. We got a map with tips and it led to some of the best meals of our trip! A short walk from the tourist centre but it was a calm area.

The room was quite humid, which is understandable as it was a bit rainy but made sleeping less comfortable.

It’s on the edge of town

The owner was very helpful with everyting I needed: taxi, bike, bus. Very close to town center and at the same time very quiet area, very recommended!

Really well located, only a short walk to the old town, great price, large room, staff so friendly and helpful. Helen helped arranged transport to the airport for us which was seamless.

Helen ist eine so herzliche, super bemühte Gastgeberin! Ich habe mich total willkommen und wohlgefühlt, sie hat mich bei allem unterstützt, mir Tipps gegeben und Ausflüge für mich gebucht. Das Hostel ist etwas außerhalb des citycenters, sodass es dort - abgesehen von Bauarbeiten nebenan - super ruhig ist. Ich würde jedem empfehlen, dort zu übernachten und würde selbst auf jeden Fall auch wieder dorthin gehen!

The place is quiet I needed that Helen was super helpful and the whole family was lovely. Within walking distance from the old town. When it was too hot, I took a grab for 16000. Really nice place to stay

Good size room, very friendly staff

Nice little family-run hotel within easy walking distance to the old town. The staff were very helpful even supplying me with snacks to take on the bus to my next destination. An extra motorbike to get me to the bus stop was also provided... without an extra charge. Great value at a low price.

Helen was an exceptional host who went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed and helped us to book our activities and transportation.

We had a wonderful time at Green Town hotel. Helen is an outstanding host and made sure we enjoyed our week stay. It’s close enough to old town that you can easy walk there but far enough to enjoy a quieter more authentic part of Hoi An.

Everything was great here ! The room is clean and well-equipped and everything functions well. The place is located close to Old Town, within walking distance. Best of all was the host ! Helen was extremely sweet and helpful, I was really sick during my stay here and she checked up on me regularly, bringing ginger tea when she could hear I was coughing and preparing pots for steam inhalation. I felt at home and taken care of so far away from home - thanks so much !

Helen the host and her family are so welcoming. There for whatever you need. Helen speaks great English and can schedule whatever activities u need. They don't have bikes but can rent one for u. It is in a very quiet area which i appreciated. Great AC. Only$15US for a driver to meet u at the airport in Danang.

Loved my stay here, I extended twice as it felt like a home away from home. The family were extremely friendly and offered to help with anything I needed. I also hired a scooter here, which was a great experience. The room was cleaned frequently, shower was great, nothing negative to stay, highly recommend!
