The resort property is amazing! Very close to the whale watching area. The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. The staff were so friendly, kind and helpful especially our guide who assisted and walked us to the whale watching area.

The second floor was just a little inconvenient for our luggage but it was a short and we got some help from the staff so not a big deal.

One of the things I loved most about this place was how private it felt. Having direct beach access made it even better..just a few steps and you’re on the sand. The staff truly made the stay special. They were so welcoming, friendly, and incredibly accommodating, always making sure we had everything we needed. Also, the location was perfect just minutes from the whale shark watching and Tumalog Falls, making it so easy to explore two of Oslob’s must-visit attractions. It was the ideal base for our adventure!

The only minor downside was that the TV signal wasn’t very good

We had a fantastic stay at AJ's and would definitely recommend it. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and made everything easy from the moment we arrived. The location is excellent, just a few minutes walk to the whale shark briefing area, making the early morning excursion very convenient. We highly recommend booking the whale shark experience through the resort, including one of their guides, as that made everything seamless and stress-free. The staff also arranged our airport transfer with sightseeing stops, transportation to Tumalog Falls, transportation into Oslob town, and our ferry transfer, all of which worked our perfectly. Our Sea View Room was comfortable and well equipped, with beautiful views, robes, a Nespresso machine, and quality toiletries. We also enjoyed the complimentary mango sticky rice with coffee each morning, and there were several great local restaurants within easy walking distance. After the whale shark tours finished in the morning, we enjoyed snorkeling right off the beach. AJ's is a relaxing and convenient base for exploring Oslob, and the outstanding hospitality of the staff made our stay especially memorable.

Although no in house restaurant, breakfast was ordered offsite (not too far) and delivered. We asked if we could have the breakfast in one of the gazebos by the beach. Staff was friendly and very helpful. They also have a minivan that can take you back to Cebu City

Highly recommend this place! Clean, spacious rooms that are excellent value for money and located just minutes from the whale shark point. The staff are wonderfully friendly and responsive. AJ was a massive help in organizing our transport and a superb trip to Kawasan Falls. To top it off, when the whale sharks didn't show up, they honestly gave us call And full refund even after I reached cebe. Incredible service!

We highly recommend this accommodation, we stayed one night before diving with the whalesharks. The staff were fabulous. Rooms very comfortable. Seating and huts by the beach perfect for relaxing in the afternoon and evening dinner (we got takeaway pizza and ate it by the beach). We booked our whaleshark dive through AJs and it was so easy, they pre purchased our tickets. The day before, confirmed our time for the dive as 7am, Angie meet us at the front desk and guided us. Just a five minute walk from the accomodation to the whaleshark dive area. Within 30 minutes we were in the water with these amazing creatures. We went back, had showers in the room. Checked out and headed off to our next stop, AJs also organised our transfer. All fantastic, great way to see the whalesharks.

We stayed at AJ’s Beach Resort for one night as a family of 4 with our two young children during our Philippines trip, and honestly they were the BEST hotel experience we had out of all 6 hotels we stayed at throughout our trip. From well before check-in day, their communication was absolutely amazing. They responded to emails so quickly every single time, which was incredibly helpful. In fact, because they were so efficient and helpful, I ended up booking all 3 of our Cebu hotel transfers through them as well. We had to book two rooms as there were 4 of us, and I genuinely think they could charge a lot more for what they offer. The rooms were exceptionally nice, modern, comfortable and spotless, and the location was absolutely perfect. The main reason we stayed here was to do the whale shark experience the following morning, and AJ’s organised EVERYTHING for us — the whale shark swim booking, a guide, underwater camera hire, and even one of their lovely staff members to nanny our 1.5 year old while we did the experience with our older child. Their service went so far above our expectations. If you are planning to do the whale sharks in Oslob, I would 100% recommend staying here and booking through them with a guide. We literally didn’t have to stress about a single thing — just turn up with the guide 15 minutes before our booking time and everything was handled seamlessly and perfectly. Every single staff member we encountered was warm, kind and genuinely helpful. We left feeling so happy with our stay and honestly wished we could have stayed longer. Highly, highly recommend AJ’s Beach Resort!

The staff was the best of this place, really made the difference for our stay. They were very responsive and helpful on any requests even before we arrived, whether via WhatsApp or onsite. The place is located right next to the whale shark watch, made it convenient.

They have a corkage fee for any outside drinks or food, even though they don’t sell them onsite. Made it inconvenient in that regard. Whenever we buy some drinks or fruits, we had to make sure we finish it outside of the resort….

Very close to the whale shark watching area. We also found out that going there at 9am instead of 6 when everyone arrives , there is no queu . Our room was big. Seaview and confortable.

Staff is very polite but not very helpful. We asked to check in early as my wife was sick and needed to rest. I understand this is subject to availability and that payment can be required . The room was freed early according to the to the staff but no priority was put on it's cleaning. We had to heavily insist so that they could finish it first. The next morning, we were woken up at 5:30 by the staff which was using the leaf blower (yes at 5:30am in front of the room!!). This is really not acceptable.

The location was excellent- we were looking for somewhere close to the whale shark adventure and AJs is literally about a 200m walk away! The staff were also excellent and extremely friendly and helpful. They helped us to book for the whale shark experience so that we didn't have to line up in long queues. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and beachfront.

The hot water system for the shower is a little temperamental- hot water comes and goes.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel—easily one of the best experiences I’ve had. What truly stood out was the staff. They are likely the best hotel staff I have ever met: incredibly warm, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile. They helped us book the whale shark experience online in advance, which meant we didn’t have to wait in the long lines—a huge plus. They also assisted in booking our Sumilon Island tour, making everything smooth and hassle-free. One moment that really impressed me was when the reception staff personally went out of her way to accompany us to the Bluewater pier, just to make sure everything was properly arranged for our trip to Sumilon Island. Another lovely touch is that you can order your meals from the restaurant next door and enjoy them by the sea in the hotel’s gazebos. It’s such a relaxing and scenic way to dine, and it really adds to the whole experience. This level of care and dedication is rare, and it made our stay truly special. Highly recommended for anyone looking not just for a comfortable stay, but for genuinely outstanding service.

This resort was a slice of heaven in Oslob. So much better to stay here than do a day trip from Cebu City. What an oasis in the midst of what can be chaotic din in the Oslob whale swimming area. The grounds are very well maintained, with plantings watered and leaves swept every day. The reception area and eating huts lining the shore view are clean, new and well maintained. The photos really don't do it justice. The hotel will order food for you from a nearby restaurant and serve it to you in those open air mini-huts,. We did that after our whale shark swim and it was fabulous. The rooms themselves appear recently renovated and are immaculate. I felt very clean, cool and comfortable in the room. The view from our first floor room looking out at the ocean was fantastic. I think most of all, the staff was very friendly and helpful. They can set up excursions and transportation for you. We used their services to take us to Moalboal and see a few waterfalls on the way. Their van was in the best condition we've encountered in Cebu. Highly recommend.

A very nice, clean and well appointed room. Unbeatable location for whale shark experience! Lovely staff. They organized transport and sightseeing for us - Aguinid falls were our favorites! (I know we probably paid a premium by organizing it all through the hotel, but everything was easy and well done). I also appreciated the ability to pay by credit/debit card - yes, there is a 5% convenience fee that many people have complained about. But I viewed it as convenience,(not a surcharge charge), as withdrawing cash or changing money would cost about the same... with the added inconvenience

В первую очередь хочется отметить отзывчивый и доброжелательный персонал, всегда готовы помочь, подсказать и организовать всё необходимое. Мы проживали в улучшенном двухместном номере, который находился на втором этаже, с видом на море. Вид был просто потрясающий, особенно приятно было просыпаться и засыпать под шум моря. Отель расположен на первой береговой линии, что очень удобно. До места, где можно посмотреть китовых акул, идти совсем рядом, это большой плюс. Персонал помог нам записаться на посещение китовых акул и сопроводил нас до нужного места. Услуга была за дополнительную плату, но всё было организовано чётко и без лишних хлопот. Также персонал организовал для нас трансфер при выезде из отеля до Моалбоала, а во время проживания , трансфер туда и обратно на автомобиле к водопаду Tumalog Falls в Ослобе. Всё прошло комфортно, вовремя и без стресса. Отель не новый, но находится в отличном состоянии. Видно, что хозяева действительно заботятся о нём: везде очень чисто, ухоженная территория, чистые номера. Полотенца и постельное бельё свежие, уборка на хорошем уровне. Завтраки в отеле не предоставляются, однако это не стало проблемой, рядом есть несколько кафе, где можно позавтракать. При этом в отеле бесплатно предлагают напиток на выбор (кофе или чай), а также угощают манго с рисом, напоминающим манго sticky rice, как в Таиланде, очень приятный бонус. Отдельно хочется отметить, что у отеля есть собственный небольшой пляж. Мы купались там, и за всё время на пляже не было никого, кроме нас,полное уединение, мы были только вдвоём с супругой. Это создало особую атмосферу спокойствия и отдыха. В целом остались самые тёплые впечатления: уютный, чистый отель с отличным расположением, красивыми видами и замечательным персоналом.

Un vrai coup de coeur. Les deux chambres situées face à la mer (l'une au dessus de l'autre) sont superbes, vue incroyable. Le resort est situé a quelques dizaines de mètres seulement du "whale shark watching", mais malgré cela le resort est très calme. Petite plage privée qui permet de faire du snorkeling. Pour vous rendre du port d'Oslob au resort il faudra prendre un tuk tuk, pas le choix car Grab ne fonctionne pas à Oslob. Le Resort dispose de sa propre camionnette si vous cherchez un moyen de transport pour aller a Cebu ou MoalBoal (service payant mais prix correct).

The property exceeded all expectations, the room was well maintained and the bed was excellent. But the real star of the show is the beach out the front. You are literally 40m swim out to where the whale sharks are. You can sink beers on the beach and have an epic sunset. Couldn’t recommend the place more. The owner and staff were legends, they set us up with a guide to get the whale shark ticket (I’d highly recommend the guide, the whale shark ticketing centre is absolutely chaotic and we would of stood no chance without Ninya)

Very close and walking distance to the Whale Shark Attraction we can see the boats from our hotel.

In Philippines we stayed in around 10 different hotels, this one was definitely the most clean, the location is great if you want to do the whale watching, is in front of the hotel. I have to mention the smell in the room was amazing, super clean.

The only issue we had was the communication about the transfer on the check out. The only option we had was to pay 1000 pesos to go to the port which was maximum 10 minutes by car (for me was the most expensive transfer) a part from that the hotel was incredibly beautiful.

AJ's Place Beach Resort is a great place to hang out. Few room, excellent waterfront and chill out seating areas outside It is conveniently located especially if you are doing the Whale Shark encounter. Located just 3 mins walk away. Has a great ambience if you are out at night. Good if you want to walk out from the waterfront to snorkel. The room is perfect, large ensuite and has a fantastic view of the ocean from the balcony. The staff were fantastic and accommodating. Spoke to one of the owners 'A' (sorry as I could not recall her name) on a call and managed to get my problem with transportation resolved with her help

Food places were limited. The restaurant beside was not open when we were there. So the next place that we would be willing to venture into was a good 10 min walk away and has a limited menu and pretty average food.
