Lovely quiet location out of the business of the Galloway but convenient for the excess to the road to see the beauties and sites of Ireland.

Host Ronnie rolls out the welcome mat for guests that began with bowls of delicious apple crumble and ice-cream. During our three-night stay in Ronnie's spotless and comfortable home, he shared his local knowledge, provided personalised routes for our day trips and perfect restaurant recommendations. Thank you Ronnie for making our Galway stay so memorable.

Our room had sloping ceilings - a challenge for two tall people - and bed could be a little creaky.

We stayed in Ronnie’s for 2 nights as part of our roadtrip around Ireland. I can’t speak highly enough about the property but more importantly Ronnie. What an amazing host, so friendly and accommodating. His recommendations of where to go on days out were invaluable. Plus the apple pie and ice cream when we arrived was gorgeous.

Sind von unserem Host sehr herzlich mit Apple Pie und Eis empfangen worden inklusive umfangreicher Insidertipps für unsere Tour. Haben sogar Reiseproviant für unsere Tagestour vor die Zimmertür gestellt bekommen. Großartiges, ruhig gelegenes Haus, komfortables Zimmer und noch großartigerer Host - Herzensempfehlung!

Ronnie is a terrific host and treated us more like friends than guests! He put a lot of time into making sure we enjoyed our experience in Galway, giving us a detailed map and notes to get the most out of our day in Connemara. The location of the cottage was in a peaceful area that was a few minutes drive from Galway. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. Thank you, Ronnie!

We felt super relaxed at Ronnie’s home and the room we stayed in and breakfast each morning exceeded our expectations. When we arrived we were given some delicious apple pie with ice cream which we were super grateful for. In addition to that Ronnie had some helpful tips on the area and made sure we were welcome and comfortable. We hope we get the opportunity to stay at Ronnie’s place again.

Ronnie, the host, is a great guy. Ths Cottage is in great condition and close location to Galway City Centre.

I just loved this place,,I would highly recommend staying here,the host was very welcoming,and a great conversationalist,very down to earth. The Apple tart and cream and the cup of coffee both evenings of my stay went down a treat,I have stayed in lots of places, but the "Cosy Rooms in a Stone Cottage had a different touch, a touch of class and a home from home, isn't this what we all strive for, when we go for our long or short breakaway.. A beautiful cottage & warm welcome from Ronnie had us feeling like we were home, a fabulous feeling in the midst of a few weeks of travel. Apple pie & ice-cream soon after arrival was delicious & a lovely treat. Ronnie suggested a few things to do while in Galway. His most helpful map & a couple of notes ensured we had a brilliant day and got to see & experience Galway in ways we otherwise would have overlooked. Can’t thank Ronnie enough for his 11/10 hospitality, thoughtfulness & sharing his much loved and very beautiful cottage with us.

The Cottage with the red door was a really lovely stay.

Our stay at Cosy Rooms was exactly as described in the listing. Everything was truly clean and well maintained, which made us feel comfortable from the very first moment. Ronnie is an excellent host — he genuinely cares about the people staying with him and is always willing to help with anything you need. On our first day, he welcomed us with homemade apple pie, and one evening he even prepared dinner for us, which made the experience feel incredibly warm and personal. The room was always warm, cozy, and perfect for resting after a long day. We felt at home throughout our entire stay. We definitely recommend this place and enjoyed it so much that we are already planning for our family to stay here when they come to Galway.

El alojamiento es espectacular, la atención de Ronnie era de 10, no pudimos estar más cómodos y contentos tanto con la habitación como con su atención. La casa está a 10/15 minutos en coche de la ciudad, pero a la vez en una zona muy tranquila y con mucho aparcamiento en la parcela, lo cuál era positivo. Además, Ronnie, dejaba un poco de desayuno para todos los huéspedes (cereales, café, té, galletas y croissants), sin coste extra. Nos gustaría volver.

Sólo tengo dos quejas: 1.- La principal queja es que no nos pudimos quedar más tiempo 2.- Como pequeña crítica, estaría bien que preguntase a los huéspedes si tenemos alergias alimientarias para que nos pusiese algo sin gluten (pequeña crítica)

La casa es muy bonita y acogedora, el comedor precioso, y la cama muy cómoda. Pero lo mejor es Roonie y su hospitalidad, una persona amable y simpática. Nos ayudó mucho.

I couldn't have stayed with a kinder, more welcoming host. Ronnie welcomed me with apple pie and ice cream, then gave me a tour of the area in his car as I was attending a training course in the area the next day. He even shared his own dinner with me on the first night as I was tired after travelling. The room was spotless, great hot water in the shower, good WiFi and comfy bed. Easy to park at Ronnie's too. If you have time to do his recommended Connemara route, do! I'm already looking forward to planning my next visit back.

Superleuke host! Attent, iedere dag flesje water en zelfgemaakte taart of koeken. Bracht ons zelfs naar het centrum en haalde ons weer op. Echt superaardige man.

This is the ultimate in B&B home experience. From the apple pie and ice cream on arrival, everything was absolutely fantastic. Ronnie is the most welcoming host and his home is magnificent. His communication and recommendations were excellent! Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The location is great, so peaceful and quiet, and a short drive into Galway. Loved our stay here and really enjoyed meeting Ronnie.

Colazione ben organizzata e con tutto il necessario. Posizione in una zona tranquilla a pochi minuti dal centro. Camera pulita e con tutto il necessario. Complimenti al signor Ronnie !

Ronnie was very welcoming and gave excellent advice on the sights that we should see. We loved the location in the outskirts of Galway, reached through narrow country lanes.

Breakfast was plentiful, tasty and self service. Cooked food was not available.

Colazione buona, ottima accoglienza da parte di Ronnie molto gioviale e disponibile a offrirci utili informazioni sui luoghi da visitare e sui pub/ristoranti in cui mangiare. La casa è fuori dal centro di Galway. Noi l’abbiamo apprezzato perché è stato piu’ facile raggiungere le nostre mete nella costa occidentale e nel Connamara evitando l’intenso traffico cittadino. L’unico problema è che la casa è raggiungibile solo in macchina.

Very nice room and Ronnie was a very helpful host. He gave us heaps of good tips including for our trip further afield (we headed north to Sligo), as well as a beautiful loop around the Connemara area.

Nothing - but Google maps took us on a “back roads” trip to get there - to fellow travellers, we suggest you take the N59 and turn off onto Oranswell road, and use the property eircode once you are on Oranswell road - so much easier.

Il cottage è molto accogliente e pulitissimo, la nostra camera per due dotata di bagno con doccia era molto intima, luminosa e confortevole. Letto comodo e stanza silenziosa. Dotata di ogni confort. Il cottage ha un comodo parcheggio di fronte alla casa che dista 10’ o 15’ dal centro di Galway per cui comodo per gli spostamenti. Inoltre è vicina alle attrazioni più interessanti come Salthill, il Connemara National Park che merita una gita in giornata A/R, e ai traghetti che ti portano alle isole Aran, la località è Rossaveel e il primo Ferry parte alle 10:30, meglio acquistare i ticket online. Ronald è l’host perfetto che vi potrà dare tutte le informazioni per vivere al meglio la vostra vacanza.

Fantastisk och personlig värd som gav många fina tips på trevliga utflykter. Vi gjorde en lång dag norr om Galway och en ’normal’ full dag söder om Galway. Mycket trevligt. Boendet överträffade våra förväntningar.

Det låg ca 15 min från Galway centrum. Men det visste vi när vi bokade.

Loved the experience. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, it was amazing. Very nice house, with good breakfast included, such amazing hosts. I highly recommend it.

Very convenient location to explore Connemara, Galway, as far north as Mayo. The host, Ronnie, is very hospitable and helpful, and he gave us great tips on the area and our journey. He welcomed us with apple pie and gave us water and snacks for the way! The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and we felt like we were staying at a friend’s place. Big bonus points for the huge bathtub in our room’s bathroom! Breakfast was provided, which was lovely.

Cottage curato ed accogliente alle porte di Galway. Facilmente raggiungibile (noi eravamo in auto) e in mezzo al verde. Stanza molto pulita e dotata di tutto il necessario. Padrone di casa adorabile! Ronnie ci ha accolto con torta di mele e gelato e ci ha fornito consigli sul viaggio durante tutta la permanenza.

Suggerirei solo di arricchire un po’ la colazione, ma tutto perfetto!

I really appreciated the cleanliness and comfort. The host has put a lot of thought into making us feel comfortable and have a good rest. The communication with the host from booking to checking in was outstanding. We were coming late and the host waited and was in touch with us during the whole time. That piece of pie before going to bed was not only delicious but heartening touch of care and thoughtfulness. Very grateful for a lift to the nearest bus stop! It was more than I expected.

The breakfast was a pleasant bonus. I didn't think we would have anything to eat there. However, I'd prefer to have a more nutritious food. I can't complain though. I'm grateful we had some food in a very welcoming and hospitable home.

A lovely help-yourself continental breakfast was provided and chilled bottles of water daily. Ronnie carried our cases to our room, and down again when we left. Beautiful and comfortable home. Very clean and welcoming. Ronnie could not be more helpful even providing a light packed lunch and giving us a map and very useful advice regarding our excursions. I love staying in this beautiful house on my trips to Galway. Ronnie is an amazing host who does everything possible to make sure his guests have a great stay and visit to Galway. He has a huge knowledge of the whole region and is happy to share travel tips. The house is spotlessly clean with loads of parking in a great location on the western side of the city.

I can honestly say this place ticks all the boxes so no negatives to report.

The B and B is exceptional particularly due to the owner. Everything was customer focused unlike some others we experienced. The room was spacious and well set up. Good bathroom. Ronnie was possibly the most gracious host we have encountered anywhere. He met us at the door, offered warm apple pie as he chatted with us about our travel plans, made several great recommendations about the area, and generally tried his best to make our stay outstanding. He checked in with us several times before and during our stay and was very attentive. He put a lot of effort into small details to make you feel comfortable. Nice room and an outstanding host.

All the stars for Ronnie's incredible Stone Cottage! I had an incredible time here, loving it so much I stayed a third night. From the beginning Ronnie was warm and welcoming, sharing tips for exploring Galway and further north in Mayo. The best surprise was having a picnic bag for my first day exploring and warm apple pie when I came back! I would stay here again and again.
