HOTEL SHANDON-2 Mins From Connaught Place

The premises and room were super clean, excellent client service. The room was big and the bed sup r comfortable. The air con and ventilator worked flawlessly.

The surroundings of the hotel location are not very safe, especially if you are a woman travelling solo. If is close to Connaught Place if you take a tuktuk or Uber . The breakfast service was a bit poor, there was no fresh coffee - only Nescafe - and the wáter boiler was broken.

Staff were friendly and helpful with our needs. Room was clean but a bit smaller than the photo. Near to Connaught place area which is a safe area in Delhi.

Parking is just on the road side in front of the hotel, but it still was fine.

I am especially thankful to Mr. Tanveer, who personally came forward to understand and resolve the concern and made sure everything moved smoothly. His ownership and customer-focused approach were highly appreciated. A special thanks to Afsana for her warm gesture and genuine hospitality. Habitación y ubicación bien. Personal bien.

Si te toca habitación exterior. al lado hay un club nocturno y el ruido no te deja dormir. ni con audífonos. Lo siento. Seguramente si me tocaba otra habitación ponía todo 10. Pero no poder dormir me ha bajado puntos al hotel.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und hat fast alle Wünsche erfüllt, speziell Bittu. Das Essen beim Frühstücksbüffet war gut. Ich habe immer so viele Wasserflaschen mit Trinkwasser bekommen wie ich wollte (im Hotel Preis inbegriffen). Das Hotel ist modern eingerichtet und es hat in den Zimmern Klimaanlage und einen Deckenventilator. Heisses Wasser gibt es 24 Stunden am Tag und das WLAN funktioniert einwandfrei. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis hat auch gestimmt. Ausserdem hatte es im Hotel Shandon eine Tour Desk von India Trip Aisha und Mr. Tanveer Khan hat mir für Tagesausflüge einen Fahrer organisiert. Hat super funktioniert. Eine Metrostation ist auch gleich in der Nähe.

Die Lärmbelästigung von einem Gebäude in der Nähe des Hotels, die von ca. 21:00 Uhr bis spät nach Mitternacht laute Bollywood Musik gespielt haben. Ich hatte Ohrstöpsel dabei und so konnte ich sehr gut schlafen.

Partiamo dal taxi mandato dall'hotel in aeroporto (pagato 1.500 rupie indiane)... L'auto era sporca con sedili ricoperti di moquette... Vabbè, Atteso davanti al gate x 35 minuti nonostante l'appuntamento... Prelevati e durante il tragitto ha fatto una lunga deviazione x fermarsi a fare gas... Risultato arrivati in hotel dopo più di un'ora. Proseguiamo... La notte è piovuto forte (ci sta')... risultato, veniva giù acqua anche nel bagno della camera (non ci sta').. Si ma parliamo della colazione... Doveva essere dalle 8:00 alle 10.00... ma dato che era piovuto erano in ritardo (ci sta')... Colazione 8.30. Abbiamo mangiato pane e acqua perché il resto era da lasciar perdere. Premetto, viaggiamo tanto, ma questa è stata tra le peggiori esperienze... Meglio spendere di più. Non cerchiamo standard elevati. Pessima esperienza

Friendly staff.

The staff were friendly but unfortunately they scammed us in the morning on a 5am pick up. Reception ask if we had travel plans and I told them I was getting a 6am train from New Delhi station. He offered a taxi which I declined as I always get uber. He said uber wouldn’t be working at that time in the morning as they would take us. He asked for 500 rupees, I didn’t question it as this was a busy work trip, at 5am we waited downstairs, woke up the night porter which he then had a million different conversations and finally at 5.20 put us in the taxi, which time I was very very stressed, as the station is huge and busy. Got into the taxi drove us up the road around 3 minutes, said he didn’t want to get in the traffic so would we walk the rest with our suitcases and charged us 500 rupees for the pleasure of it all. We had to run for the train thru crowds of porters and people ! Very stressful at 5am! We made the train, but the whole situation could have been avoided. I messaged the manager but had no reply. It’s an easy hotel for getting round Delhi and great if you’re not actually there! But not clean, breakfast awful and just want to scam you for money on trips and taxis! Thanks guys.

Un très bon hotel, surtout dans les premiers jours de voyage. Le personnel est au petit soin er vraimenr adorable, tout particulièrement Apshana. Je recommande surtout si vous voyagez seule. Tanveer est absolument incroyable et sécurisant. Il peut vous organiser la suite de votre voyage, avec les transferts (trains +++++, chauffeurs, tours de la ville etc). Un énorme merci aux personnels de l'hotel ainsi qu'à Tanveer.

All staff very good and easy to communicate with. Breakfast was good and if I needed dinner it was also available A tour desk at the reception helped me to see everything I wanted. A great day In Jaipur The metro was handy and a car and driver available

I was disappointed to find that my room key had automatically deactivated by the time I returned to the hotel after sightseeing.

Hotel muy bueno, en buena zona. Personal muy amable, habitación espectacular, con todas las comodidades. Servicio de comidas y bebidas en la habitación, con servicio de cambio de moneda y más. Desayuno bufé bastante completo.

Está al lado de un Bar, y hay noches que la música se escucha demasiado en la habitación hasta las 12-1 h de la noche. Que no se pudiera usar el rooftop, estaban realizando trabajos.

The best part of Hotel was their staff, specially Tanveer and Afsana. They did make us comfortable and also went beyond their comfort zone to help us for our emergency plan change. Highly reccomend it.

Hôtel proche de Connaught Place et du métro. Très bien situé pour visiter Delhi quelques jours. Le quartier est assez animé mais pas assez pour vous d’entité en tout insécurité ni vous empêcher de dormir correctement. Notre chambre donnant sur l’arrière de l’hôtel.

Le dernier petit déjeuner n’a pas été à la hauteur car nous devons reprendre la route tôt et l’heure d’ouverture ainsi que la mise à disposition des préparations et boissons tardives nous on fait prendre du retard sur notre départ.

La proprieta è ottima e il posto estremamente strategico con la metro a Pochi passi. Ottima anche la colazione! Super Consigliato

El hotel es nuevo, también las instalaciones y está muy limpio. Aunque no es una zona especialmente moderna, está en una calle principal, lo cual es muy práctico para pedir tuk tuk y taxi. Aunque se anuncian diciendo que están a 2 minutos de Connaught Place, andando hay que caminar por una carretera sin aceras con 4 carriles por la que no se puede respirar. En tuk tuk o en metro (está a 3 minutos andando de una parada), sin problema. Nuestra habitación era interior, pudimos descansar sin problema.

El desayuno apenas tiene opciones occidentales, sólo cereales, fruta y café soluble. Algo de pan con mantequilla estaría bien para quienes no podemos comenzar el día comiendo picante.

El personal fue sumamente amable con nosotros, sin duda uno de los mejores tratos que jamás he recibido en hotelería. Nos recomendaron muchos lugares para visitar, nos ayudaron a resguardar nuestro equipaje muchas horas extra, nos orientaron bastante bien lo cual nos dio mucha tranquilidad en nuestra primera visita a India y sin duda sentimos bastante tranquilidad con ellos. Un lugar muy recomendable si quieres una estadía cerca de Connaught Place, lo cual recomendaría bastante por sus restaurantes, tiendas y proximidad a lugares turísticos.

Se podría mejorar un poco la limpieza de ropa de cama, ya que encontré una almohada con una pequeña mancha, lo cual no fue un gran problema; fuera de este punto la estadía fue excelente.

If you wanna escape the busy noisy streets of connaught circle, consider staying at hotel shandon, literally few minutes away from connaught place, calmer location and the rooms are superb and clean and you get more than what you paid for. All the staffs are nice polite and helpful especially ms afsana. She upgraded my room to a bigger one with a window without adding extra charge. The food is amazing and room service is fast. They will respond to every need you request. I came from somewhere in middle east for a short stay in delhi and i didnt anticipate about bringing a universal wall adaptor for charging my electronics, but one of the guy staffs assisted me and quickly lent me one! Overall my stay was a pleasant experience and if ever i get the chance to visit delhi again i will book again in hotel shandon and will recommend to some friends travellibg to delhi too

Just they should mention in the booking page that some rooms doesnt have a window so anyone claustrophobic like me can have options. Thats it

The Location was grate. Considering what we paid, the loaction and room were good. The manager was nice and his information helped a lot make most of the short time we had.

Involvement to keep everything need and tidy was lacking a lot. Stuff was all over the place. Didnt get two near by rooms although informed while booking. Resturant was not swept and not clean. Brakefast was too simple, not one would prefer in a hotel when you are traveling. Dinner was the same. Best you walk for 5mins, go to the center and grab some thing better. during the payments they were trying to avoid cards. it was to save the card commission. Although I told I only had little cash and to charge my card they had no consideration for my difficulty. The check in and check out was horrible because of this. Including the 3% in your price would be much better than the frustration you create during the exit....
