Peaceful room on a houseboat in the city centre

Location,peaceful,comfortable,host everything you need there was an amazing stay greeted by ducks swans and a heron.

If your not a couple, shower opens up straight into bedroom so hope you dont mind seeing orher person naked!!!!

Such a charming spot! You walk in the main door and turn left into an open space (there’s a sliding curtain partition with a fridge (fruit and beer on arrival very nice touch!), cutlery, glasses etc. the door to the bedroom and toilet are off this room. So the main bedroom has a sink and the shower in it and a super comfy bed! The window slides open and makes you feel like you’re right in the canal. Birds visit and it’s so nice and quiet. There are a few restaurants in the immediate vicinity too which is nice, highly recommend Cafe Dorst :) The tram is super close, you’re about 5 stops to downtown and the main action.

Nothing it was amazing! Just know you’re a little jaunt to downtown.

Absolutely lovely cozy, clean and peaceful space to spend a few nights in stunning Amsterdam. Jaron was a perfect host, great recommends for places to eat and was really accommodating when our flight was slightly delayed and our arrival time shifted. The lovely fruit and beer a great little touch. No more than a 5 minute walk from a tram line to Central Station less than that to a local bar with great beer on tap and housed in a windmill. So so so peaceful, really lovely few days.

Excellent facilities

It was in such an idyllic position for anybody looking to explore Amsterdam, as it was a 10 minute (or less) tram to the centre. There’s also a bunch of lovely bars and restaurants around the area, and the place itself is clean, quiet and comfortable. Great facilities and lovely host!

Nothing really, it was a perfect stay!

The room was peaceful, as advertised, but furthermore it was impeccably clean and very well-equipped for our needs. Jaron went above and beyond and also provided a few little treats which were appreciated. His information about the local area was very welcome and well-used!

The room got a little stuffy overnight, but that can't be helped with mild temperatures in a humid environment (the canal).

It was amazing, the view, waking up with the ducks… 10/10!

A bit far from the center but makes sense for the price

A big pro were the windows right by the water where birds came to visit us in the mornings. Also, there were bike stands right on the street which was convenient. Overall, really clean and nice place.

A big minus is the fact that you cannot really lock the door to your room as the owner, naturally, has the key as well but we felt safe. Also the building in front of the windows kept their bright lights on until midnight which can be annoying.

What didn’t I like? ❤️ This is such a quiet, perfect location. Jaron has certainly created a wonderful space for guests to visit Amsterdam. Where else can you wake in the morning to have a swan visit you at your window? This is a very clean place. The added touch of beer in the fridge and fruit in a bowl were very welcome. Jaron is also great with communication.

Die Lage ist sehr ruhig, abseits der Massen und dennoch zentral. In unmittelbarer Nähe befinden sich eine Vielzahl an Restaurants und Geschäften und ein Markt. Zur Bus- oder Strassenbahnhaltestelle sind nur ein paar Schritte. Die Unterkunft ist gut ausgestattet mit allem, was man braucht: Kaffeemaschine, Mikrowelle, Kühlschrank etc.. Die Getränke und das Obst zur Begrüßung waren eine nette Geste. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

Alles war bestens

Es war sehr gemütlich mit einen tollen Blick aufs Wasser. Und es war tatsächlich sehr ruhig in der Nacht. Alles war picobello sauber und der Vermieter ist sehr zuvorkommend. Es gab sogar etwas Obst was uns sehr gefreut hat. Wir können die Unterkunft sehr gern empfehlen.

Es gab tatsächlich nichts zu meckern.

Les petites attentions, le confort, la vue, c'était parfait

Nous avons aimé que ce soit sur un bateau avec une très belle vue imprenable sur le canal, les poules d'eau, canards et herons qui passent et s'arrêtent devant la fenêtre, nous avons apprécié le calme après l'agitation du centre ville. La proximité immédiate du moulin avec les meilleures bières d'Amsterdam ! Proximité d'un supermarché. Logement petit mais très cosy et fonctionnel pour deux personnes, literie très confortable. Les petites attentions de Jaron : bières, fruits, café, thé et enfin la ville d'Amsterdam avec ses maisons qui penchent et ses magnifiques canaux si romantiques

Un peu excentré pour ceux qui comme nous aiment tout faire à pied...mais en cas de flegme très bien desservi par bus et tram !

Good

The location was perfect, really easy to get to the centre of town, and might not even need to as there’s so much to do in the area! It was also very quiet at night, and in the morning when you open the window you can hear the ducks, moorhens, swans, and more… truly beautiful :) Thank you Jaron for having us in such a comfortable and clean place. We will be back!

Really nice little place to stay, being on a houseboat makes you feel you're away from the town. Jaron was very helpful and completely unobtrusive. Shower was fantastic. View of the canal lovely. And of course the coffee, fruit, beer and water.

Difficult when there's so little space but some storage/hanging facility would be nice. Likewise somewhere to dry wet towels. Maybe there's some telescopic rail device that can be folded away or brought out when needed.

La tranquillité et la disponibilité du propriétaire, irréprochable. L’emplacement du logement et la température dans la chambre est excellente même en début décembre !

A little smaller than I had expected but we had everything needed

Host Jaron is very friendly and helpful and lives right next door. Cold beer and fresh fruit were provided as a welcome gift :) There was also a coffee machine with excellent coffee and a refrigerator. Everything was very clean and tidy. I felt right at home and would come back anytime.

Tutto perfetto, pulito e ordinato. Tutti i comfort erano a disposizione. Jaron é stato gentilissimo e ha esaudito tutte le nostre richieste.Posizione ottima lontano dal caos ma allo stesso tempo vicina al centro di Amsterdam

Joren was very helpful and answered all our questions. There was fruit, water and beer provided free. A great location, peaceful and a fantastic view of the canal with the occasional boat going past. All facilities that we needed including a microwave and coffee maker and all very clean

Wir haben unsere Aussicht durch das große Fenster aufs Wasser sehr genossen. Die Unterkunft war mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln sehr gut erreichbar. In der Nähe gab es einige Restaurants, auch für ein leckeres Frühstück. Direkt in der Umgebung befand sich außerdem ein Supermarkt mit einer super Auswahl. Jaron ist ein wirklich freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Mensch!

Great view and host was really helpful.

Well, the place is quite unique - not for Amsterdam, of course, but for people coming to Amsterdam it definitely is unique and exceptional. For me it was like that for sure! It was really cool to be sleeping in front of big window with river view! Jaron also put some fruit snacks for me - which was very cure and practical.

A perfect location, lovely view, excellent room, comfy bed, hot shower, provided with fresh fruit, coffee, tea, beer, and refrigerator. The host is on sight and very helpful with restaurant recommendations. So easy to find as it is near the Old windmill and trams were less than 5 minute walk. Takes about 20 minutes to get back to the train station. Highlight of our stay in Amsterdam!

Very comfortable and cosy place. Nice view of a canal. The bowl of fruit and coffee/tea were very appreciated.

A different experience to being in a hotel. Great location to walk to local parks and also the old town and canals. Clean tidy and our host was very kind.

Our first experience on a houseboat. Excellent host, very friendly, easy approachable. Good location with various public transport facilities in close reach. Quiet and peaceful for Amsterdam standards. Well equipped studio with coffee, tea, fresh fruit and even cool beer offered. Pictures matching reality. A pleasant surprise. Good bed for a good sleep.
